Hats off to the Woodcliff Hotel/Wedding venue! My son's wedding was held here this past Sat 10/12/24 The venue was absolutely Beautiful, the Staff was extremely accommodating ,from the front desk,the bartenders, the cleaning staff , the waitress's waiters, golf cart attendants and Justin especially at the front desk! Everything for the venue was Beautiful! If I had any suggestions it would be if possible to have few more golf carts going if able for venue/ceremony time. and if the Bar could have stayed opened longer in Hotel it would have made Bank!!! LOl But then this crew we had are big partier's and if that is hotel policy I understand. Justin was able thou to accommodate the after hr. group for all of us thou . if we drove you nuts, I apologize Justin!! with ending for myself personally, My son's wedding that was held at Woodcliff will always remain one of the Best times of my Life!! Thank-you Woodcliff !!!

Convenient location, easy to find, fast check-in, nice-sized room, and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows, and the room was up-to-date and well-maintained. We also appreciated the not-so-dark-as-other-hotels carpeting and furniture. It was nice not to have to really search dark carpeting, dark furniture surfaces, and dark bottoms of wardrobes to make sure nothing was in danger of being left behind. There were plenty of outlets for various devices, and the hooks on the wall made storing things nice and easy. We always look for hotels that are both pet- and smoke-free, and include a breakfast with a fair number of selections, and this one was perfect. Overall, a wonderful stop on our journey.

After being unhappy at another chain location, I switched from my usual brand and joined Radisson Rewards for this booking, with a great rate. Arrived here from ROCHESTER International Airport by LYFT ride, not knowing how long I would be staying, or what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised. Located in a nice area, on busy Route 31, Monroe Ave , East of the city, but still close to all major attractions, like GeorgeEastman House, Memorial Art Gallery, Highland Park, Rochester Museum and Science Center, by car, also on city bus routes. My comfy accessible room is roomy and restful, with a King bed and roll-in shower, many safety bars in bathroom. There is a window unit for climate control , Microwave and fridge in my room, and a 40 inch flat screen TV that has a sharp picture with premium channels. Room and lobby WIFI works well., except with my Apple phone. Cozy family reading area with adult and children's books and a single computer/printer business center in lobby. I was happy to find a small coin operated laundromat and a tiny gym, with two machines. Amenities include a very good hot and cold breakfast served in lobby, with 24/7 refreshment and coffee/tea bar. Spunkmeyer cookies at desk, a small convenience store for essentials, including frozen entrees. Smoke free premises, however there is an outside seating area, with wooden Adirondack chairs and a fire pit for smokers. Four Electric car charging stations make this a great location for modern savvy travelers who care about the environment. Coffee-Tea stations in room and lobby were well stocked. The diverse cheerful and helpful staff keep all common areas very clean; all of them are very helpful and accommodating . I enjoyed conversing with International guest clientele in several languages, including Japanese tourists. With rewards member rates, its a great deal and price point. Ethnic restaurants and shopping nearby, including Pittsford Plaza and Eastview Mall . I recommend this hotel to all traveler friends in this area, and beyond, including my 50,000. travel chat buddies on Facebook, Yelp, and TripAdvisor, without hesitation. From the curb this looks like a new or refreshed hotel. The reality is the facade is just that: a facade. Outside of the exterior and the lobby, the rest is a tired, old hotel. You can't easily use luggage carts because of the small elevators, doors to hallways and narrow entranceways. Ceilings are 1970s or 1980s style drop-down ceilings. Hallways are dark. Rooms received a superficial refresh but the TV is from 2011 -- as in 10 years ago -- and the bathroom is NOT refreshed. Mold and mildew in shower. No central lighting. Instead, my room had FIVE different light switches. Basically, this is an OLD 1970s or 1980s Holiday Inn with a facade update. The pool is closed, except to rooms with 2 or more guests. If you're solo you can't use the pool. There's no bar and no restaurant, despite advertising. Similarly, they sell breakfast packages but there's no breakfast because the restaurant is closed. I went to the front desk and asked for a wine glass from the bar and was told they wouldn't get one. Zero IHG elite status recognition. No local newspaper nor any local information, including restaurants. You are better off staying at the Best Western a block way. This is a dumpy old Holiday Inn providing less services and amenities than a Holiday Inn Express.

When I encountered a fire, I opened the door and stood in the corridor for a while. The staff ran around, but no one told me to evacuate. So I didn't have to go out. The fire kept going. I opened the curtains and looked out. The staff who had evacuated to the open space saw me and gestured to let me go outdoors, when the fire trucks came. They did not effectively organize, supervise, and check the evacuation of guests, but the fire was not serious. On the last day, the house keeping took us away from the cups with the toothbrushes. It should be obvious that it is not rubbish, because there are toothbrush and toothpaste inside, as well as dental floss and interdental brush. And, there was no problem with the release of the previous few days. strange. The attitude of the individual waiters at the front desk was cold. Others are acceptable.

Suite was clean. But pets next door and across were barking...Bathroom was part of the bedroom, so any one staying in the suite had to go thru the bedroom to get to it. Breakfast was OK, simple, eggs were dry and they ran out of some selections by late morning. Better food at Cracker Barrel!

The room is clean, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is a bit simple, there are only a few food options, close to the strong museum, 1 minute walk, the parking lot can be used directly at the museum, I will come again.
