Four of us were going to the Havasupai Reservation to camp for 3 nights and this was a recommended motel. It was 60 miles from the trailhead and not any other options. Looked kitschy and fun and is on Historic 66. We stayed Monday night and had 2 rooms and they included complimentary continental breakfast from 5 am - 9 am. When we arrived at 5 am for the breakfast on Tuesday we could see someone inside setting up. We waited 5 minutes and then knocked on the door since she wasn’t opening it. Knowing we had a 10 mile hike down the canyon, we wanted to get an early start. The lady came to the window and said it wasn’t ready yet. We said we were told it opened at 5 am and her response was, “I know. But it will be another 30 minutes before it’s ready”. We were very disappointed and headed to the trailhead without eating. We alerted others in the parking lot who were also waiting for the breakfast. (The breakfast consists of bagels, yogurt, coffee and juice and we could see it all set out - not sure what still needed to be done.) We returned on Friday to the hotel after our 7 hour trek back up the canyon, tired and dirty from 4 days of camping and hiking. Check in time is 3 pm and we arrived at 2:26 pm and checked to see if by chance our rooms were ready early. They were not, so we bought snacks and drinks from the motel store and sat on the patio and waited. At 3 pm we went back inside to check in but were told our rooms weren’t ready yet. We stated check in time is 3 pm and the female clerk said she knew that but the maid was still cleaning the rooms. We asked if they could put us in other rooms that were already cleaned and were told no. It should be about 10 more minutes. In the meantime a few others checked in. After 10 more minutes we went inside and were told the rooms still weren’t ready. The male clerk said he didn’t know the reason that they couldn’t just give us other rooms that were already cleaned. We expressed our dissatisfaction and told them about our experience Tuesday morning when the continental breakfast wasn’t ready on time. They said they knew someone called in sick. We were finally allowed to check in a little after 4 pm. For the missed continental breakfast and the delayed check in the staff never apologized at all. We were very disappointed with the service at this motel and would never stay there again and would not recommend it. The rooms were shabby and the sheets had holes in them which were obvious to whoever made the beds. The only positives were the showers had good water pressure and the towels appeared new. That’s the only reason we are able to rate it a 2.

I was given room #12, it has no/insufficient heat, so they put a tiny space heater with everything else plugged into it. Even with it and my hair dryer running I was cold all night. Used towels on the floor to use bathroom, because floor was so freezing cold. I was charged $50 extra for this room too. The desk person in the morning that I spoke to said they're aware the room is a problem. She doesn't rent it out. I've asked for a refund with no response

My friend and I stayed here before backpacking down to Havasu Falls. I believe that the Supai tribe own it now as well as the caverns, so it will be interesting to see what they do. It definitely needs to have some renovations. Anyway, it's a very basic place but the shower was clean and so were the beds. They have started a free continental breakfast, so that was really nice. We stayed there on the way back and were so grateful to sleep in a bed. The restaurant, which is about 1/2 a mile away has good food as well. A big hello to Marilyn, who works at the front desk. What a nice, nice person. She's a big asset to the motel.

A bit on the tired side but very convenient to get your confirmation for the Havasu Falls hike. They give you your paperwork there at the hotel. We decided to stay there on the way in and out as it was so close. It's an old Route 66 motel and has seen some better days. Allegedly, it's been bought and sold 3 times since Covid and every owner wants to do something different. The only restaurant is a mile away at the Caverns entrance. There is a closed restaurant, Betty Boop, on site and could probably be made into a kitchy, cool place. They could make breakfasts and sack lunches for people leaving early for the hike into Havasu Falls. There are a lot of opportunities there and it looks like some work is being done. The rooms were clean and the water hot and that's all we needed.

We checked in easily. Informed at the time that everything was shutting quite soon, so we grabbed what food we could from the shop. Noodle pots for dinner- got to the room to find no kettle but a coffee maker. Able to heat the water by it, worked ok. The air conditioning unit leaves a gap so you can see outside- went into the bathroom, dead bugs everywhere. Covering the floor and sink. Not small ones either. I wiped down the sink and had my shoes on unless I was on the bed... Did not sleep well. On the plus- the setting is great, place looks quirky and plenty of photos to get. Needs a lot of TLC. The caverns are worth seeing.

I like historical places. This one is on old Route 66 near the Grand Canyon Caverns. This is not inside the caverns. If I rated this one a 4, people would expect too much from a 90 year old motel being refurbished. The room was clean. Bathroom adequate. Lighting poor. limited electrical outlets but hey it is 90 years old. I do not remember there being a refrigerator but the lady at the "store" gave me a bag of ice. She was also the same person who checked me in. She was very nice and helpful. A lot of history here. I enjoyed my stay. I'd stay again. Just don't expect a modern hotel here.
