Hotels near Passage du Ponceau, Paris

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. Great feel in bar and restaurant. Room a bit too cosy for the money with no outlook except other rooms opposite, which meant keeping curtains closed at all times. Live music till 1.45am on Friday night, a real problem. Couldn’t sleep at all.

Stayed for 2 nights in room 101 although next to lift no noise issues due lift other side of bathroom. Room size OK for paris & happy with decor & cleanliness. Aircon was excellent & blackout curtains worked a treat. No tea/coffee facility or fridge in room but unlimited coffee at breakfast. Breakfast was continental & plenty of choice. This is probably the best hotel for value I have stopped in Paris and will now be my hotel of choice in paris. Location good for train station

On this trip to Paris, I was very worried about where to stay near the Eiffel Tower, but I really liked staying at the Novotel Real at Châtelet Station. First of all, the staff are very friendly, the hotel accommodations and bedding are all clean, and the rooms are cleaned every day! First of all, the accommodation itself was very nice. Also, there is an elevator that goes down to Châtelet Station right in front of the hotel, so you can go anywhere by going down, and it was really convenient to go to the airport all at once. Additionally, there were Korean restaurants, K-Mart, Five Guys, McDonald's, and Burger King all nearby the bakery in front, so it was really very convenient. Even when going to the Eiffel Tower, it's okay because you can take the bus or train within 10-15 minutes. I will stay here again when I go to Paris!

The whole experience was superb. Everything was perfect. The location, the room was veryyy big, everything was very clean and tidy. The location is central, you can go on foot to Lafayette or take the metro which is literally outside the hotel. MUST: Go for breakfast or late night desert at La creme which is on the right side of the hotel!!! Dont take hotel breakfast you will not need it!

Environment: The room is very spacious and the location is five minutes walk from Galeries Lafayette. Service: The little brother at the front desk is too handsome, very French and very caring and old and we wink. The security at the door is also very good. Recently, the French riots will remind us not to run around at night and tell us which areas can't go. Facilities: The hotel's restaurant food is also delicious!

Decided to book a last minute trip to Paris & my partner had booked this hotel as part of a package. Upon searching the hotel, I was very skeptical how this hotel would be and had very low standards of arriving due to all the reviews I’d read. The room & hotel were clean and tidy, staff are lovely and nothing was a hassle for them, breakfast was brought out quickly and re-filled if finished! Only downfall being how tiny the bathroom is, quite a struggle getting round about everything in the bathroom as it’s all packed in so tightly & the mattress was a bit uncomfortable, but that bit wasn’t too much of a bother to me as the pillows made up for it! Two stars knocked off primarily for the size of bathroom and mattress but can’t grumble too much due to the price paid! Still very happy and satisfied with our stay.

The location is nice and close to the metro station, the staff are friendly and great services. The best part is that I made friends who had similar interests and wanted to explore Paris like I did. Would highly recommend for solo travelers the area is safe and convenient to anywhere you want to see within Paris🩷

It was very close to Chatelet Station, and there was Five Guys and all the places to eat in front, so it was convenient. The room inside is small, but it has everything you need! It was especially nice to make and eat ramen because there were utensils for easy cooking. I think the Citadines Hotel has the best advantage. However, the level of hotel service was not great, and I think you can go after looking at these two factors: cost-effectiveness and the ability to eat hammocks!

Didn’t actually see the opera scene! Everything else is great! You can't get out of the balcony, it's locked and you can only open a small gap, and you have to pay extra. The price is really unfair! The services are very good and very welcoming!
