I, with my pregnant wife and toddler, booked for an executive room (Japanese-theme at room 104) in Sogo Hotel, Mexico, for 24 hours as an escape during the New Year's Eve. If the price tag in the room is akin to a run-of-the-mill motels, you can never hear any complaint from us. But for a hotel that claims to offer an executive room, it should live up to its promises; unfortunately, not in my family's experience. Let me break down the reasons: 1) Price - I booked my reservation in travelbook.ph with insider's discount but it was not awarded to us. We were charged for a regular fee. 2) Cleanliness - You can easily deduce that the previous occupant smoked cigarette. You can still smell the third-hand smoke up from the ceiling to the bed. It's suffocating to breath at first especially for me who has sensitive nose. 3) Aircon - Sleeping was hard as the noise of the aircon is like a nearby jackhammer, or a motorboat's engine. We were forced to turn it to fan just to silence it at the expense of sweating up. 4) Light - There was no light at the dining area and I called for an assistance twice. No one came to fix the bulb. 5) Security - We left the room to have a dinner and we asked for the concierge to lock the room (we were not given a spare key, that is their policy). However, the concierge was adamant to lock our room and claimed that it was safe even if we left our room open. I insisted on locking our room before leaving and the concierge showed unwillingness to do what I requested. The security guard looks frightening. We're not on to discrimination but you'll understand us if you were in the actual scene. Imagine a silhouette from a bit far. Then up close, he suddenly cut and blocked you and see an image of a drunk man wearing a guard's uniform. Coupled with this, he asked us in an interrogative tone if we were going to leave and asked our hotel room's number. I understand that inquiring is part of his work but at least he should pepper it with a smile or courteous tone. However, his approach caused us to be cynical in giving information especially with the premise that the concierge is unwilling to lock our room. I was about to put out my cellphone to record his hoodlum-like gesture but he suddenly stopped asking us and just radioed the concierge. 6) WiFi - Imagine a crippled turtle that is forced to run. That's how slow the hotel's WiFi in the room is. 7) TV - You cannot find lots of channels to watch on. Thankfully, we brought our own movies. The only thing that we enjoyed above all in the room is its spacious toilet and bathtub as my toddler enjoyed swimming while bathing. But generally, as a family-friendly hotel, you cannot expect it to be ”so clean, so good”. You have been warned.

Room is clean, location is good 👍 near church, near McDonald's, puregold and too many restaurant near the hotel. Transportation is very easy. My only problem the room is not sounds proof i can hear somebody talking at the nxt door, i even heard them move the chair. I stayed for two nights but i did not avail their breakfast because breakfast start at 7am and i need to go to school at 7am, they should move it 6am for somebody need to work early or go to school.. But i the same recommend it because its clean, bed and pillow are so soft very comfortable to lay down..

I stayed here for 22 nights with my partner and overall, it was a good experience. We stayed in a deluxe king room on the bottom floor. Pros: -comfortable bed -good shower with many shower heads and hand held hose -good location in Balibago close to many good restaurants and karaoke bars -staff are friendly and attentive, special shout out to Cherry for helping me organize flowers on Valentine's Day -easily accessible by car and free parking -the rate is quite cheap, will be hard to find a better hotel for this price in the area -the WiFi was consistently reliable with fast speeds throughout my stay Cons: -despite daily housekeeping, the floor of the room is always dirty, you cannot walk barefoot in the room or your feet will be black with dirt. needs to be mopped with stronger chemicals -the shower needs a deep and thorough clean with stronger chemicals also. housekeeping staff are mopping the floor, but white and black mould accumulate very quickly which poses a health risk. it seems like they're just cleaning the bathroom with basic chemicals or water only -would be much better if the TV was a smart TV so that guests can enjoy Netflix etc, however they did have cable TV -quite often, our access card stopped working every 2-3 days which is inconvenient as we have to go to reception constantly to get it fixed. also, there are 2 of us but they refused to give us 2 room keys. If the small issue with cleanliness of the floors/shower is resolved and this hotel had a smart TV, it would truly transform the hotel to a 5 star experience. Overall, I would stay here again.

The hotel caters to the travelers who are on a budget but gets value from the savings. Economy wise. The buffet is truly budget friendly. The food is relatively generous than getting fastfood from grab. Hotel is absolutely clean and the front desk speaks korean and japanese , surprisingly speaks to filipino guests in american slang. Will always come back.

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel, rooms are good and spacious. Bathrooms are clean, location is okay and close to walking street, , staffs are friendly and breakfast is good.Peaceful stay, I recommend this hotel for friends and party lover travellers, rooftop pool bar is amazing, food can be improved in Thai restaurant, rest everything is amazing. I recommend this hotel.

Believe me it was bliss for me that travel became very limited during this pandemic. People are, like, away. Away. So I was fished out of my comfort zone by my husband who wanted to leave our current city -- a city that worships face shields, as if face masks weren't enough to choke us in this heat. We initially booked our flights to Bohol, hotels included. But thanks to the national government's ever-expanding classification of quarantines, we had to cancel that trip. We wanted to still celebrate a week-long birthday out of town so we planned on driving to cities with little or no quarantine restrictions. First stop: Angeles City in Pampanga. Pampanga is a province not in included in the NCR bubble in May 2021. So we didn't need to get tested or quarantined when we got there. We didn't realize looking for a pet-friendly hotel would be so difficult. We found a couple, but landed in Capitol Hill Hotel and Suites. The hotel isn't really inside Clarkfield. One enters the zone from NLEX and exits one of the side gates. You'll pass through what seems to be the former red light district of the old US Military (?) zone, and you'll find Capitol Hill build just outside the residential areas alongside some of the old and new hotels. This one looks new. Squeaky clean. They have ample parking spaces in front and beside the hotel building. With a crate, a couple of bags, and 4 small dogs, were pleased to be led to a room in the second floor. We still had to take several elevator trips to and from the car. I lost count on how many times the doorman held the door for us. The two ladies at the Reception were all smiles all the time. We were handed only one key card. But in all hotels that I've stayed in, I've always made it a rule to get two key cards, in case I leave the other one in the room. The room's about 50 square meters, with a king size bed, TV, and toiletries, a huge window that overlooks where we parked the car, and a see-through bathroom with a tub. Water pressure in the sink and shower were strong. And again, squeaky clean. The toilet flushes well. The entire building has wi-fi. We were provided with enough towels. The closet had two robes, two pairs of slippers, and a safety deposit box. Venture to the rooftop and you'll find the infinity pool, bar, and restaurant. The food is pricey if you're on a budget, but they serve them fast and with utmost concern about your taste. You don't have to take the towels from your room if you want to use the pool; they provide towels for that. I recommend you have dinner at the rooftop by yourself or with a date. The evening view of Clarkfield and the Clark Airport is spectacular. One floor below the rooftop is a small gym with a treadmill, peloton, and a few weights. The next morning, I had to stay in the room to prepare our stuff for our next lap in our tour. The phone rang asking us if we wanted our breakfast in the room or the restaurant at the rooftop. She works 10pm - 6am shift and I can tell she has a golden heart and very welcoming to all the guests she encounters. Staff had been very warm and responds swiftly. This is tru the moment we landed on the driveway. Check in was fast; room was clean and food was good. We love of course the bar cos it has a pool area and the cocktails are great! Location is one of its aces too and we’ll definitely consider for our next visit. The bell boy took a long time to pick up hut the front desk followed through and apologised.

It wasn’t easy when we started looking for our wedding reception around the Philippines as there are so many options to choose from. A year of preparation but it was definitely worth it, every moment we spent in Clark Marriott exceeded our expectations. The best part was every one of us enjoyed, and all our guests got positive feedbacks. We highly recommend Clark Marriott Hotel to celebrate your wedding, definitely more than 5 star for us.
