Breakfast typical American breakfast, the room is large, the night is very quiet, the character is higher than the high, in Monterey Bay and Carmel Bay choose to live here absolutely value, wash clothes to drive to the laundromat to wash, in short, it is recommended.

This was a great hotel to stay at the staff were friendly and super helpful. Beautiful views and the perfect location. The only downside was that the wifi did not work, we called the front desk which then transferred our call to an IT department who were not much help we spent our stay without a wifi, not the greatest as a person visiting for the first time especially if you have online business meetings. Everything else was amazing I traveled with a friend and we had a great time as this location has many great places for good food. Will definitely book here again.

Because Carmel's accommodation options are too expensive, I want to say that I chose the lighthouse in the next town. Unexpectedly great! The room looks much bigger than the photos and the facilities are very thoughtful and complete. The fireplace is really nice and warm! !! 17 days in the United States, this is the best and favorite accommodation ~ In addition to the buffet, there is another menu to choose from (there is no extra charge). Many choices are delicious. Most of the other guests are Americans who come for vacation. It's near the sea, and there are deer nearby, suitable for watching the sunset ~~

Stayed 2 nights in August ‘22 as part of a road trip from San Francisco to Cambria. Pacific Grove itself is lovely & the Sunset Inn didn’t disappoint! You may be lucky to see the deer walk through the neighbourhood. We were allocated the Happy Seagull room, very clean & adequate for our needs, always found a parking spot. Room included coffee maker, full size fridge & microwave. Breakfast is included in room rate, basic, but no complaints, the donuts were lovely! The best drinks machine I’ve seen for choice is situated in office & is available at any time, Rishi will help you & give suggestions on what’s good! Rishi the Manager greets you on arrival, he’s a character & loves a chat! He’s so passionate about the property & wants his guests to be comfortable & have the best experience. Thank you for recommending the Indian restaurant in Monterey, hopefully you may remember us! Would definitely recommend this property for a Highway 1 stop off as we did & would stay here again, thanks Rishi, maybe see you again!

This hotel used to be amazing. In the past, I would have paid the premium cost for the service, location, and experience. Now, I just can't say that anymore. I have stayed at the Portola hotel a number of times and the last few times, it just hasn't been that great, yet they still charge the same premium price The hotel is in a great location, which is still a draw, but the experience has become average. I love going to Monterey and this hotel was a reason I would want to come back, but now I find myself looking elsewhere. Portola just doesn't meet the expectations they put forward for the premium price they charge. So if you get a good price on that harbor view room, I would say go for it. Note, you may end up with a partial view looking at the roof of a building across the way, with a partial view of the water. But I would stay here again if the price was right. But if prices are the same as some of the other waterfront hotels, I will likely book elsewhere.

Our vacation flights to Chicago were canceled due to weather conditions and we were unhappy. We decided to have a getaway to Monterey and Carmel. We were lucky to make a last minute booking by booking.com at Travelodge. The booking was easy, price was incredibly reasonable and service was excellent. The staff were not only friendly and welcoming, but also made accommodations for my physical disability. We enjoyed our trip and Will definitely go back.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife while on vacation. Frequent fliers of Embassy Suites, and this location is exactly on par with what you'd expect from the brand. The location of this hotel is fine, with close proximity to a variety of restaurants, a gas station, easy to get to the wharf area in Monterey. We stayed in a standard king room, and it is the typical 2-room suite layout in most Embassy locations. The room as clean, and the bed was comfortable. The shower worked great the first night, but the second night it did not get very hot. It was late, so we did not bother trying the front desk about it. Both TV's in the room were equipped with a Chromecast that had a web portal you could sync a device to. Very nifty being able to cast from our phones, something every hotel should adopt! The breakfast was top notch for a complimentary buffet. Eggs/omelets cooked to order, a variety of other hot and cold breakfast items, juice/coffee/soda, baked goods etc. The happy hour at night (included in the room rate!) was great, and had 2 specialty drinks, beer, wine, and well liquor available. The drinks are very standard, but they are absolutely free! There are also light snacks available. We did not use the pool or gym, though both looked clean. The pool is indoors but did not appear to be heated. One thing to note: parking fee is $20, and there is also a resort fee of $15/night that is charged. The resort fee ”includes” wifi, bike rental, and a $15/credit for the gift shop or restaurant. We figured either way you're paying $15 per day extra, so we used $15 at the gift shop both days for snacks & coffee. There is a Starbucks inside the gift shop which this applies to!

The location was good assuming you had a car but do not rely on public transport. The hotel--motel was clean and well decorated and pool area well kept. The problems started with reception who were not very well informed. Could not give information on bus services and even gave wrong location for the bus stop. Before leaving I wanted to check in to two airlines. One receptionist said no problem but when I went to do it on the day another receptionist said it was against hotels privacy policy??? I then had to find a business centre and pay $40 to do ckeck in. Food / Bar was adequate but not available Sat--Mon. We were there for a week and on two days were advised there would be no room service. On a third day we had to request fresh towels as the room had been missed. I do not think the bed linen was changed during our whole stay. The biggest issue I had was with the finance department. ON settling the final account I decided to pay fully in cash and not use the debit card they had taken on arrival. On return home I found two debits on my card one for £270 which had no relation to any services. The second for £493 which was for the total bill paid for in cash. after telephone calls not responded to and four e-mails I eventually got the accountant to credit the money back a month later. still awaiting a call from Mary the manager to explain why they had taken money from my account without athorisation
GGuest UserThe variety of room types this hotel offers makes it great for families. The room with a kitchen was perfect for fixing lunches to take with us or having a leisure take-out dinner on the patio. Breakfast had enough hot and cold choices to please everyone. Amazingly quiet when the hotel was completely full. Hotel comes with several covered parking spaces. We are already planning to come back!
GGuest UserThe location is ideal a short walk to the beach and ocean trails. could hear the waves from our room. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and as described, we stayed in a queen bungalow. The staff was very professional, helpful, made us feel welcome and felt that they really cared about our needs and comfort, I look forward to coming back again and making this our go to stay in Pacific Grove. Would highly recommend to anyone.
GGuest UserWhat can you say, but, ”We like the place!” The staff has always been positive, friendly and informative. We frequently travel with our small Terrier and the Inn accommodates her. This area of PG has become our usual choice on the Monterey Peninsula given its seclusion from Carmel Hill, Cannery Row, et al. A brief walk through the Asilomar Conference facility will bring you to the beach for sunset viewing. There is breakfast and a wine Happy Hour! The rooms we have stayed in have been large with the usual accoutrement.
叶叶This time, basically booked hotels with Trip.com on the American trip. Compared with priceline and booking and tripadviser, I found that Trip.com's quote is quite competitive and the information is basically accurate, including parking fees and whether there is meal waiting. I have rarely come back to comment before. This time, I will refer to the user comments here before I book my room. I feel that it is also about the point, so I plan to take some time to leave my personal feeling, although subjective, I hope to have a little reference.
The Monarch Resort It is quite close to the entrance of 17 miles. The only hotel down the road gives a room to queen bed. If you change another room, you have to add money. If you mind, you must pay attention to this problem. The breakfast is small and the variety is monotonous. Of course, you can still eat if you don't pick it. The only bright spot was the real fireplace, fresh feeling.
EerellyHealth is far worse than the picture, but the hotel service is good, there is a swimming pool and roasting fire outside, the waiter will smoke with you, staying for a long time is a bit warm, although it still feels good
AAmschouten75We just stayed here for 2 nights. The good: we stayed in a king suite and it was really large. We had plenty of room to spread out. It appeared to be clean. The bad: the room is tired!! The sheets were stained. They smelled clean but the stains are really off putting. The carpet is worn and was actually torn and pulling up. The bathroom had painters tape holding wallpaper up and the tub sides were falling off. The tv in the bedroom works but the color is wrong.....everything looks green. The fridge is very loud. The outside sitting area is really crappy and the view from the bedroom over the back fence looks like some crack house. The sofa in the living room section is the most uncomfortable I have ever sat on. We were in room 110 so maybe some of the others have had a facelift? I know we are in COVID times and things are tough but this is maintenance that has been deferred for quite a while.....not just 8 months of tough times. I spent $460 for 2 nights which is way too much for what we got. I wouldn’t come back any time soon.

GGuest UserOur stay was a quick visit to the area. The property sits right on Lighthouse which was a few minutes away from downtown Monterey. The room itself was tidy, clean and met our needs for the night. We had an updated room and bathroom! The bed and side tables seemed up to date with plugs on the table lamp for our phones. The room came with a microwave and fridge as well as an office table. The bathroom was updated and large! The property served a simple breakfast inside the office. Waffles, packaged danish, yogurt, fruits and bead. Milk, oJ and coffee were also served. We sat outside and ate our breakfast! Not bad for a quick getaway!
