Warmly decorated and unique hotel! The service is a bit British, and everything is considerate! While the children were playing billiards, several waiters were on hand to teach them; in the morning, they could go shopping around, there was a lake, and the scenery was pretty good. Western breakfast is generous in portion and tastes good. This hotel is recommended 👍

We stayed at the Firs in Jan 2024, it was the last leg of our Sri Lanka trip. We can safely say that it was the best stay we had in Sri Lanka. The location of the hotel is beautiful, nested between trees. Close to the tea estate and the city centre. The food by the chef is the best we've had in Sri Lanka. The staff is very courteous and helpful. There's not much to do in Nuwara but I'd just come there to stay at The Firs

The bungalow is located in a very scenic environment, not too far from the town yet away from all the hectic mess. It's a very old bungalow maintained to the very best. Rooms are spacious and really clean so are the bathrooms. The food taste so good and the personalised menu for breakfast is a very generous thing. The staff is really friendly and amazing. The manager Sudharshan is the magic man behind all this wonderful place. Friendly, pleasant and very professional approach makes it very easy to deal with him. A big thumbs up to Sudharshan. We will definitely visit this bungalow soon and sorry for the late review. Good luck and keep up the good work

Me and my husband went to a 7 day vacation to the firs. The place is aesthetically pleasing and has a rustic vibe to it. The hospitality was a 10/10. The staff were helpful and kind and always had a big smile on their face. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The manager Sudharshan was especially kind and guided us throughout our journey. The food was amazing many varieties to choose from. My husband loved the Sri Lankan cuisine from there. A big Thank you to the team of the firs! ❤️

Beautiful place with full of facilities and friendly staff. Beautiful garden and quiet place. It was build up with English architecture. We booked a full board package for our honeymoon and they were treated us with a nice decos and special fruit bucket. Highly recommended this beautiful place to anyone.

We, two couples, had to cancel our overnight stay due to a strike at Hamburg Airport, the deadline had passed. But the owners didn't charge us any fees, which was not to be expected. At short notice we asked if we could come later, no problem. We were greeted courteously with umbrellas, other employees looked after our luggage. After being offered a seat in the comfortable seating area, we were given tea. Our suites were still in colonial style, but the bathroom was contemporary. We found the decor to be completely different, we liked it. The room and bathroom were very clean, large shower with a spotlessly clean glass front. The evening meal prepared especially for us was very tasty and nicely presented. The fact that there was no choice of drinks was due to the situation in the country, but they were able to improvise well. People often asked whether we were satisfied. We were bid farewell the next morning just as warmly as we were received.
