I originally booked a private hot spring near the window.

You have to take a boat from Tamsui to reach the hotel. The hotel is relatively new and the rooms are very large and comfortable. The room has a beautiful view towards the river. However, the door is inconvenient and often gets "kicked" by the floor covering, which is a big drawback.
