There are some residential areas and construction sites to be built around it. But when you walk into the stone brick pavement at the entrance, you will be surrounded by a strong atmosphere of the Republic of China. After checking in, the friendly and enthusiastic housekeeper took the initiative to lead a tour of the entire hotel space. The castle is built with stone bricks from the Ming Dynasty. It is a real antique historical building. You can feel the traces of time traveling from every brick. The interior space retains the spatial layout of the Republic of China to a high degree. The patinated wood boards and old furniture exude a particularly charming atmosphere given by time, which makes people curious and yearning for everything here. The aesthetics of a specific era endow the space here with agility and imagination. Walking into the ballroom where Song Qingling held a dance party and the private room where she held a banquet, it seems that the real scene is in front of you. The design of the room is comfortable and elegant. In terms of space hardware, under the premise of the old building, I personally think that there is no need to compare with modern new hotels. It has been relatively perfect. For me, it will not be reduced because of the loss of details. The enthusiasm of the service staff also adds more comfort and warmth to the living experience. (A dinner was booked at the hotel. The Huaiyang cuisine is exquisite and delicious) The unfinished construction site around may be a regrettable flaw, but for my two-day experience, the flaws are not enough to cover the merits. The future of Yangzi is promising. It is already the first choice for travel in Nanjing!

If you don't have enough time, you can take it back to your room to eat. However, it seems that the soundproofing of the hotel is not particularly good. After 12 o'clock in the night, you can hear small sounds, but it will not affect your sleep. It happened to be during the Spring Festival when I went there. The subway was being built in front of the hotel, but there was no construction at the time, so it didn't affect the rest much.

Had a pleasant staying experience in Mercure hotel Nanjing Xuan Wu Lake station. Free upgraded my room to a more spacious room. Breakfast buffet is nice. And also the frontline staffs are friendly & helpful. Will definitely consider Mercure Hotel for my China accommodation in the near future.
