This is a long time coming. I stayed at the hotel in January just for one night. I’d stayed there before but it appeared to not be on record. But anyway, I was checked in by Ethiopia and she was explaining the hotel and I mentioned I’d stayed before. Love the hotel which is why I go back. Shortly after getting to my room I get a knock at the door. Low and behold it’s Ethiopia with a “welcome” bag with all these nutritious snacks. LOL! I was shocked and pleasantly surprised. That was AMAZING customer service!!! So again, kudos to Ethiopia!!

Our first time at this property and we chose it because of the location to the metro on the red line. It is right out the back door across the street. Extremely convenient! We were visiting DC for the weekend. The property was nice, the room was room was comfortable, the service was excellent, the underground parking, while there is an additional fee, is secure and convenient and the checkin/checkout process was flawless. If you want a completely digital experience this is it. The staff checked in via text a few times but were not intrusive. We requested extra towels and received them promptly. While we didn’t visit them, there is an on-site restaurant/bar and a coffee shop available. We have stayed at other properties in the area. I am glad we chose to disregard any disgruntled negative reviews. This will be our property of choice when we visit the city.

The Best Western Plus in Rockville is an exceptional value and great place to stay if for a weekend or a longer stay while in the DC area. It is conveniently located next to 270 in Rockville and is a much better value than hotels in Bethesda (pricey) or Tysons Corner. If you have any concerns or questions, the staff will address promptly. The Hotel is pet-friendly, and provides free Wi-Fi, as well as free coffee 24/7 in the lobby. The hotel is quite satisfactory at this level, there are no major defects, the location is very convenient, and there are some small restaurants around. The front desk of the hotel is not big, the breakfast room is next to the front desk, and the front desk service is good.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past years. We love the location of the hotel and the close proximity to the shops and restaurants at Rio and Crown. Check in was done by a friendly agent at the Desk with a name tag that indicated his name was Juan. Juan was very warm and friendly welcoming us to the hotel. Although he didn’t recognize my status on Marriott Bonvoy (Titanium) he did ask if we wanted points or a food item from the sundry shop as our Bonvoy welcome gift. He could have enhanced the check in experience by utilizing our name and explaining the breakfast times. Signs were posted in the elevator and at the desk that listed the breakfast times and housekeeping procedures. Stay over housekeeping is on request and is a room tidy, make the bed, new towels, trash removal and amenity refill. Breakfast: I am not fond of the new breakfast offerings. Pre packaged waffles and sausage biscuits. I am on a keto diet and there are just two many carbs on this breakfast to start the day. Packaged cereal, instant oatmeal that you add hot water, cold cheddar biscuits. Yogurt was available in the refrigerator. Everything was high in carbs. Neither scrambled or hard cooked eggs were available. I missed them. I noted many other guests inquiring about where were the eggs. All of the attendants on the buffet were both friendly and hard working and kept the buffet stocked and the tables cleaned. Special kudos to Dolores who was very hospitable on Monday morning, management should commend her for her hard work and big smiles. Well, to my surprise on Monday and Tuesday they had the hard cooked eggs available and instead of the waffles and they offered egg white frittatas. I heard many negative comments on the breakfast with guests looking for English muffins, toast or bagels. Housekeeping: Our room was spotless clean and I noted that pads and pens have been added to the guest room. The bath amenity was the bulk dispensers on the wall and one small bar of soap at the sink. Shower was a tub shower and the water pressure and temperature perfect however the sink faucet had a very low water pressure and the stopper did not hold water for the morning shave. I appreciate that they are doing room tidy although on the second day the room attendant forgot to refill the coffee supplies. The Front Desk attendant at night Alison was very friendly and hospitable. She engaged everyone as they came in from the entrance warm smile. She did well to find a commonality to build a rapport for conversation. She is a natural with hospitality and should be commended for her excellent service. Another nice stay and we look forward to returning to this hotel on our next visit to Gaithersburg.

We stayed at the Spark in Germantown for a family event. It was a disappointing experience. ROOMS - there's an infestation of ants in several rooms, one family member had to check out, the ants had taken over the counters. Hotel said they were sold out, so she went to the Sheraton. Another family member changed rooms after she found bugs under the bed sheet. a third family member had a smelly wall air conditioner unit-they changed the filter, but it didn't help. No ice, no microwave, no cups in bathroom, no alarm clock-bare minimums. The rooms have a stale odor. BREAKFAST - I would suggest going to the area restaurants, the bagel breakfast offered didn't taste fresh. FITNESS CENTER - water was dripping from the ceiling, as such tile had fallen to the floor. Called the front desk to let them know..., they sent someone who did a very poor job in attempting to clean it up, dripping water wasn't addressed. ROOM RATE - was very attractive for the first night, but the rate was increased for the second and third nights. I have never experience a hotel changing the room rate after the rate has been confirmed. Felt like bait and switch, the room rate shouldn't change after the reservation is confirmed. At check out the manager wasn't around, I called back and got a supervisor who told me that's the way they price rooms, rate is subject to change based upon occupancy. Even after they have confirmed the reservation. STAFF - all seemed pleasant, but young and inexperienced. At checkout the young man was yelling from behind the wall that he was coming..., took him almost 5 minutes to come check us out. RECOMMENDATION - I would not stay here again and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are many hotel choices in the area, it was a poor hotel experience.

GGuest UserGreat place for your next event! I needed to schedule an event for 50 in Gaithersburg with attractive lunch options. This property exceeded my expectations with quick and comprehensive event planning support, great menu, free parking, modern and attractive meeting space with an enormous lounge and patio that faced the lake on the 2nd floor. Menu options were plentiful and reasonably priced. Selected several sandwiches which were large artisan creations, salads and desserts that were enjoyed by all. IT and Audio-Visual equipment worked perfectly too! The staff went above and beyond with excellent communication and service delivery making it a great experience. Thank you Jordan, Jessa, Sarah, Carmen and Almaz for your indispensable service!
GGuest UserWe stayed overnight and enjoyed this very recently renovated hotel. It's bright, spacious, and welcoming. The modern decor is a bit minimalist but the bed, room appointments, and bath were all first-rate. And the price is reasonable. One minus: the bathroom has a motion-activated light; if you get up during the night to use the bathroom, the light comes on with blinding blindness that is disorienting and can make it difficult to get back to sleep.
HHaddon POur first time at this hotel. During our travels I have learned that a hotel is a hotel is a hotel but the heart of a hotel is in it's service and hospitality. We enjoyed the hospitality at this Marriott TownePlace Suites in Gaithersburg, MD. It starts with the General Manager Andrew who checked us in and welcomed us to the property. He was very hospitable and we truly felt like guests during our entire stay. He did well to thank us for our loyalty to Marriott, used our name whenever he saw us during the week. He explained housekeeping and the hours of the breakfast buffet and offered us our gift of points or item from the sundry area. Breakfast buffet was always opened on time. I liked the egg patty (fried eggs) vs the usual scrambled eggs. The breakfast meat was turkey or pork sausage. There were hard cooked eggs and cheddar cheese slices. The waffle machine was available and a real toaster that worked. Wheat bread, bagels and English muffins were available along with yogurt and fresh fruit. Cereals were available including the kids favorite - Fruit Loops. Our room was clean and we enjoyed the bottle of water and cookies as we entered our room. I didn't like the layout of the television. A couple of issues were reported to the General Manager, the bathroom exhaust fan was very loud and the toilet didn't fill quickly after flushing. In the middle of the night the large shampoo bottle fell off from where it was attached to the wall and crashed into the tub scaring us a bit. Although I didn't get everyone's name we did meet a couple of other associates that were very friendly and hospitable, Hunter and Earl. Both should be commended for their hospitality and insuring warm cookies were available in the lobby in the morning. The breakfast area is small I suggest getting up early to insure seating. We didn't use the fitness room but it is small as well. Location is good close to a small shopping center with Panera and an Asian restaurant and a CVS drug store. Parking is ample and there is no charge for parking. Wifi worked great. If your travels bring you to Gaithersburg MD we recommend this hotel.
GGuest UserIf you need a comfortable place to stay in Rockville make it at Even Hotel, Rockville Pike, Rockville, Md. I had a 10 day stay booked by my daughter, and at the end of the 10 days I felt I was going to miss my room! The staff were ever so helpful and polite. The room had all necessary accomodations, with a refrigerator, coffee machine, iron and ironing board, T.V., desk and chair, hair dryer, and to top it off, yoga style exercise equipment, too. Housekeeping was every day if you wanted it, or you could hang out the ”do not disturb” sign and you'd have all the privacy you wanted your whole stay. The gym is well furnished; my favorite - the rowing machine resistance with water. The Even is just a hop, skip, and jump to the Twinbrook metro, the Silver Diner restaurant, Trader Joe's grocery, Dollar Store and many other stores in a plaza. Covered Bus stops are very near, and the post office is just a little way past the Fire Station. Just a note to fellow travelers--try to respect the other guests when you have to arrive at 1 a.m. - 4 a.m. and refrain from laughing and talking loud in the hall, or playing with the elevator, or exploring the stairway. This behavior does really disturb other guests. (Thanks so much and good success in all your travels.)
GGuest UserThere is NO Shuttle Service.(The reason for 2* for Service and 3* for Facilities) They do offer compensation for uber/Lyft/Taxi within 3 miles(Rio Shopping Center and Shady Grove Metro), however for some reason Taxis Services won't come to this location. Use the Radisson Hotel next door instead for pick up. The Breakfast is very good, and staff is very friendly! It is a great place to stay if you just want to sleep, eat, and leave. The share fitness center is well maintained as well as a 24 hours small Dunkin' Donuts. Pool is seasonal. Everything works but AC/Heating Unit (one broken Grid) and TV(30”?) is a little out of date.
GGuest UserThe room was small and could have been better. You can hear the outside noise from the cars and trucks. That really sucks. And the parking also sucks since you have to pay $12 valet parking. The front desk person charged me an extra day of valet parking and I told him to take that out and he said it would be credited. He was full of it and not very helpful.
TTAOIn the suburbs, many blacks live here. Staying for less than 6 days will not clean you up. You can go to the front desk to change clean towels and sheets. Fully equipped with microwave, refrigerator and kitchenette. There are 55 buses at the door that can be transferred to nearby places and subway stations.
GGuest UserI like this hotel - mostly cus it’s a diamond in the rough - it’s pretty affordable considering Especially due to its convenient location and bonus free parking (note as long as you get there more than likely early enough - for me I was always able to get a spot But I have a tiny car and woudl come in by 8pm or so each night I stayed - I did notice the spots were all taken when I’d leave early a.m)
The rooms are not fancy and there’s a decent amount of noise through walls etc) - but for a working bachelor like me that’s always looking to live on a budget - the hotel is a sweet spot for me.
It’s only 1 mile from work and I can get for around $75 a night all included - which beats out other little issues I’ve noticed.
Oh and I find the beds to be quite comfortable
We read the reviews and booked this trip with reward points so it's hard to complain. Just wanted to spend the night after a concert at the Silver Spring Fillmore. Room was listed as non-smoking King Size bed. Bed was about 1/2 size of a King (cramped for two people). Strong smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom. Noise/conversations all night long and someone banging on the door shouting ”wake up! in the middle of the night. Property/grounds are aging and run down. People seemed to be living full time on the property. watching us as we got out of the car left us feeling uncomfortable. The location was good for walking to the downtown area with restaraunts and breweries along the way. We would not recommend this property to friends or anyone asking.
