This hotel is pretty good in terms of hotel facilities and room layout, especially the wooden floor which is a plus. However, when we entered the booked room on the first day, we found that the toilet had not been flushed clean, and the soundproofing of the room was not good. We could clearly hear the voices of the guests in the next room, which affected our rest.

Apparently it's a fairly new hotel. Lobby is very comfortable and luxurious. I like the essential oil mist that they release in the lobby.. Very welcoming and refreshing smell. I like that,they have the elevator security for tapping key. Very disappointed with the bedding as, I found multiple stains... On my pillow and on the bed sheet & cover... Stains on bedding is not acceptable. The flooring also had stains. Sliding bathroom door. It was heavy. Otherwise it is a spacious room & comfortable.

Bathroom sliding door too hard to close or open. Need fix sliding wheel. Pillow and blanket have male homo smell. I don’t thing they wash pillow or blanket

The room is spacious. The staff members are friendly. It’s convenient to have microwave oven and fridge in the room. The coffee/tea pot can be upgraded. It served our purpose of the stay.

One person operation at front desk. Not welcoming a guest when I checked in. I asked for quiet room if it's available, but she said, "You came in early, (yes, I was there at 1:30 pm on Sunday, September 1st) you have to wait till 3 pm to get a quiet room", also told me there is only "one clean room" available it facing to major street, Atlantic Blvd, all other rooms are dirty. She treaded me with very unprofessional manner. No eye contacts, no instructions were given, even though I mentioned I love this hotel that's why I stay here whenever I come to this area, but she did not say "a word". This was my 3rd or 4th time staying at this hotel in a year. If I were a manager, I will NOT keep her at guess service. She represented Marriott very badly. When I checked out at 10 a.m. next day, a person (gentleman) from front desk greeted with a big smile with great attitude. It's a big different between two front desk employees at this hotel. There is a brand-new hotel across the street (holiday Inn) just opened a few months ago and offering a same price, so I will be staying there instead next time. Goodbye! Residence Inn at Monterey Park.

Noise level was terrible. Heard water dripping noise every hour at midnight Pulling chair noise. No room cleaning. I asked front desk why my room did not cleaned. They said room only clean on the fourth day of visit. I said my room was cleaned everyday, not only the fourth day. Then the front desk said that she was not here last week so she didn’t know. I stayed 5 nights in the hotel and I heard these noises every night. Front desk staff are not professional at all.

First time staying here. Hotel still feels nice and new. Conveniently located next to a lot of restaurants, boba tea shops, markets, plazas etc.

The location is closed to Chinese zone and asian supermarket. The room is clean but no personal care products provided.

hotel need to charge me 10usd for bottle opener or I have to take the bottle to front desk for them to open for me each time . this is unacceptable. I could have borrowed one for free at front desk instead

The location was good for the places I wanted to visit but housekeeping was terrible. Most days the bed wasn’t made properly and never cleaned the floor so very dusty and hair around the room. They basically just came in to change the towels.
