We had a very nice week in Cascina Vignole! Nice rooms, cosy atmosphere, very friendly hosts speaking several languages (Italian, English, German, French), excellent food … We can recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a quiet place in the very middle of a famous wine region. And if you are lucky, you will get for dinner the truffles you found in the morning together with the famous truffle hunter Christopher!

Pros Beautifully situated inn in glorious Piemontese countryside, nice swimming pool. Excellent truffle-based cooking. Basic breakfast included in the price. Well suited to gourmands with a liking for truffles. They offer truffle hunting experiences, which look fun. Cons No air conditioning, which can be a problem during hot spells as the rooms get hot. Somewhat isolated position means that any activity or alternative eating is at least half an hour’s drive away. We were slightly surprised to be told we were sitting in the hosts’ family sun loungers by the pool - situated in the best position. Also to be charged more than the website indicated for the evening meal with no explanation. We travelled with teenagers and to be honest it’s not really suitable for that age group as there are few distractions.

We stayed for 6 days with our three children (13, 10 and 6 years). We really enjoyed our stay. The surroundings, the rooms, the pool and the food - everything was perfect. The hosts were very informative and accommodating. We would love to come back.

Posto veramente splendido immerso nella natura . Teresa , Hans e Chris sono tre persone stupende e molto disponibili che ci hanno fatto sentire come se fossimo a casa nostra . Esperienza da rifare. Voglio una damigiana di quella Marmellata
