The original room we were booked for had a plumbing issue, so we were put in another building. That was fine. It was a very nice room, and it had air conditioning, a safe, and a small refrigerator. Although it was on the "first floor", it was up 14 twisting stone steps. We are retirees; we are fine with stairs -- BUT to have to go up and down with our suitcases was hazardous. (Luckily, another guest whom we met at breakfast offered to carry them down for us.) The room was comfortable, but there was no shampoo (!), we were not allowed to put any food in the refrigerator -- only "liquid," and we only got one set of towels for three nights. We placed our bath towels on the floor after the first night and came back to find them re-hung! Finally, we had to unlock the door to the building when we were LEAVING -- surely this is a fire hazard? On the up side: Fillipo is a charming host who makes a lovely breakfast. He also makes the best cappuccino in the world -- really! Each morning we had some baked goods that his wife Maria, and his mama Maria had made. I would like to have given this B&B five stars, but with the above issues, I couldn't.

We stayed at this property for 5 days/4 nights. The location is ideal for visiting Monopoli, both for the city center and for the sea. Excellent and plentiful breakfast included in the price. Magnificent owners, kind and helpful in giving advice and suggestions. We highly recommend it!

We stayed for two days in this wonderful and welcoming b&b, the very kind owner Maria made us feel at home right away. Excellent service, equally excellent cleaning. We hope to return soon and highly recommend it to all.

I highly recommend staying at Dimora Palmieri as the hospitality and professionalism of the owners is disarming. I travel often but I think I've never met people like them. We were welcomed in the best possible way, complete with a map pointing out the best itinerary to follow. They recommended restaurants for us to dine in, they recommended a car rental. Very helpful from the start. BEAUTIFUL apartment, well furnished, excellent cleaning. Breakfast prepared personally by Mr. Filippo and Mrs. Maria, all very exceptional especially typical Apulian products and homemade products, personally by them. If you pass by Monopoli, pass by Dimora Palmieri. You can see and feel how much this couple loves their job.
