Stayed 6/29-6/30. The hotel looks like an 80s building. The staff at the front desk on check in were nice enough, athough it appeared I interrupted one of their naps. No upgrades for elites at this property, despite a very very low occupancy - at least not for this ”titanium for life” member - perhaps you will do better. I was provided with a coupon for ”breakfast” and a $10 food and beverage credit. My room was adequate. Toilet barely flushed; standing water in tub. tiles falling off the wall. The bar of soap looked like the little sliver you have at the very end of a bar of soap, usually about 3 days after you should have replaced it. This property was so stingy with the soap that you only get one of those little slivers to share between the sink and the shower. Room needed a good dehumidifier as the A/C just didn't do it. So, after a long day driving from Houston to Mobile, went to bed early. Got up looking forward to breakfast. This hotel still has the lounge closed, but they have a nice area set aside in the restaurant. The ”free breakfast” consists of previously-frozen pastries, some fruit, and free coffee. That's it. So, glad I saved my $10 coupon. I tried explaining that I wanted to order off the menu. The waitstaff provided a menu. The breakfast menu us incredibly limited, especially for a ”full-service” Marriott. They had one interesting thing on there: an omelette with shrimp and crawfish. Great! I ordered that and a side of bacon. Tried to use my $10 food and beverage coupon, and was told, I can't, It is only for use in the restaurant. Apparently elite members sitting here are not considered part of the restaurant can do not expect to use your $10 F&B credit for breakfast. You simply can't. Not sure why, but had to pay full price. Will dispute on credit card. So, was going to stay another night, but checked out and went to another hotel. This one is very bad, no idea how they have 4 stars. Very very disappointing management, disappointing stay in general, and disappointing room. Keep looking for other properties - this is not a nice one at all.

I typically don't leave bad reviews of hotels, but I was very disappointed by my stay at this Holiday Inn. The lobby and restaurant area were nice. However, the elevator and the hallways had a musty odor and were stuffy. Either they don't have air in the hallways or just don't turn it on. The carpet on all floors are stained and need to be cleaned. Both headboards in the room were discolored, appears to be bleach. Upon inspecting the sheets on one of the beds, the sheets were stained and one of the pillow cases. I had to request new sheets. The bathroom had ants and the vent was very dusty. I would have went to another hotel, but all hotels in the area were booked as I was there for a basketball tournament.

The hotel was very comfortable, both in room and the lobby and dining areas. While it appeared to be busy, it was quiet on the floors and hallways. All of the staff are very welcoming and attentive. Breakfast each morning has a different selection to choose from. Whether one goes first thing or at the end of the serving session, the food is always hot and refilled frequently and coffee is on hand pretty much all day.

I stayed at the Resident Inn Marriott in Mobile Alabama.950 W I-65 Service Rd S.These are pictures from my Room218 Dec23-27,2023 Queen One bedroom Suite. My room looked nothing like the pictures shown online. It was very disappointing.I have several emails from contacting customer service all weekend about the condition of the room. I spoke with the lady at the front desk. She was very unbothered. There was no hot water, water damage on the ceilings, the appliance(stovetop)was broken with missing knobs. The carpet was stained. The dishwasher had the insulation or whatever it was coming out of the sides. The rooms were smelly and dingy.Just not Marriott quality at all.No housekeeping or cleaning done or available during the stay. You had to take your own trash out.The front desk lady told me when I checked in said that she would place a work order and someone would be by the next day. However, there was no truth to that at all, the next evening I went down to inquire, the guy at the front desk said there was no work order and he had no idea what I was talking about. They also slid a letter under our door at some point that said they let their staff off for the holidays. It would have been nice to know upon check in so we were told and we could have found somewhere else to stay. I have never stayed at a hotel where there was minimal to no staff. Terrible experience for a Christmas Holiday weekend. On a positive note and the only positive was the male staff (Marquise) that was very pleasant keeping breakfast stocked. The front desk staff was not concerned at all. When, I checked out,I mentioned the condition of the room and all the guy said was ”Im sorry”.There was nothing he could do because I booked through third party but I could call the General Manager which will be in by9.I spoke with her.She said to send her the pictures to her email and she would go take a look before she leaves for the day.She also said she left her phone at home and she would check the email that I sent with pics included and I did not hear anything else from her.Again, what was advertised online nice and clean is not what I ended up with in person. It was total opposite. The online advertising was very misleading.

Excellent
Very nice representation of the brand. A nice property in a quiet location. Friendly and accommodating staff that moved me to an even nicer bigger room when my original room type didn't have a refrigerator. All with a smile. The room was spacious clean and a comfortable mattress. 5 to 10 minutes from food shopping and the airport. The price was reasonable for an airport hotel. And I didn't hear any planes.
We stopped here on our way to Florida and wanted to be away from the Fat Tuesday festivities. The room was nice and clean and especially quiet. The bed was nice and firm, I have a bad back, but the pillows were worthless. Overall a decent stay. They must have a shortage of parking because they allow guests, visitors or whomever to park in front of the hotel for extended periods of time including in the evening which is a busy time for checking in. Also in the morning when checking out. All vehicles involved were Alabama licensed which makes you wonder if they were a paying guest.
Lovely looking place. It's a historic inn, so we weren't expecting the most up-to-date amenities. But when we got there, had to search for a front desk person - the call number they left had a full mailbox. We were told our room was on the top (3rd) floor and that the elevator was out of order (apparently been broken a long time). I explained that I had mobility issues that made it difficult to climb all the stairs with luggage etc. I was hoping she would change us to a ground floor room. Her response: ”Aw, bless your heart.” So we schlepped upstairs to find a view, not of the courtyard, which was what we booked, but of the demolition of the old convention center. Well, that couldn't be helped. but we couldn't get the ”blackout” curtains completely closed, maybe because they were attached to the rods with zip ties! It was not possible to make coffee - there was no pot or carafe to put in the machine. Front desk tried to tell me to just put the cup into the machine to catch the coffee. Cup didn't fit and besides, it was styrofoam and would have melted on the bottom heating burner where the pot usually sits. I told her that and she looked at me like I was nuts. On the upside, the rest of the staff was very friendly and the room and bed were clean and comfy. Location was great. Not a bad stay, but I doubt I would book there again.
GGuest UserI did not plan to stay at this hotel- I was on a long road trip, and due to unanticipated road work and traffic accidents along the way that caused significant driving delays, I was unable to make it to my destination that evening. I booked the room on the Marriott Bonvoy app. The desk clerk was not at the front desk when I arrived- he was in a room behind the desk. The hallway was dark and dingy- very poorly lit. The room was clean; however, I wanted to use the freezer in the room refrigerator and found what is shown in the attached photo. Other issues: lightbulb in the room was burnt out, and while shampoo and bar soap was in the room, there was no lotion. I went downstairs to ask for it- and again, the clerk had to be summoned to the desk. I had no issues whatsoever with noise. I was grateful that the hotel had a hot breakfast- the breakfast hostess was outgoing and welcoming, but so much so that she was almost intrusive. This hotel is located in a busy area off of I-65. If you want a less congestion, I suggest driving north a few miles to Saraland- there are newer hotels in a less urban setting. This hotel could be so much better with a thorough renovation and a few tweeks in customer service.
GGuest UserUpon arrival, the lobby with the fireplace makes a very warm and pleasant impression.
The hotel room is very neat and very clean. Room is in pleasant, bright colors. Pictures complete the good first impression.
Some things make a very high-quality impression, for example the faucet in the bathroom. I missed a USB plug, which is more and more often placed in lamps or next to the bed to charge the cell phone.
The only, but big point of criticism was the breakfast. I looked for coffee cups in vain. I had to ask the staff twice until it was noticed that the disposable cups were used up. Coffee very good. The selection is not very large, comparably much less than in comparable hotels. The orange juice was very negative, probably a cheap product, also with an aftertaste. After it is now common, there are no hot, instead only ”warm” scrambled eggs. Only these were not even warm, in the spectrum between warm and cold rather cold to be counted and therefore hardly to be enjoyed.
Since the breakfast can not be rated separately, I have to think about what my rating should be. Because certainly hotel guests without breakfast are well accommodated here.
GGuest UserI reserved a room for this hotel online. After driving 9 hours to get there, I arrived to a hotel under renovation. When I arrived, it appeared that the office area was taped off with yellow caution tape with no way in. I walked around looking for a way in and found a small opening in the tape where I could get into the office. There were 3 women behind the desk. When I said I had a reservation, they rudely informed me they had no reservations for that night, and that I had been billed a no show for the previous night! When I showed them my confirmation email, they told me I had to call the booking agent. I called the booking agent who refunded the 'no show' charge and confirmed my reservation for this night. With me on hold, the booking agent called the hotel and spoke to the manager. The manager rudely refused to honor my reservation price and said I would have to make a new reservation with a higher price! At that point, the booking agent canceled my reservation and issued an immediate refund. I was treated so rudely by the manager with NO APOLOGIES OFFERED!!! Since major renovations were underway, with the office almost completely taped off, they should not have even been open for business. I have NEVER had a worse experience at any hotel I give the hotel and the manager 0 stars!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
JjosephbN9103UCThis is a nice, clean, quit place to stay. It is affordable and management is very accommodating. The rooms are slightly dated, but for the price and surrounding hotels this is the best option. I stay in hotels 3 nights a week and this is not a bad option, I enjoyed the breakfast and the coffee was great.
GGuest UserThe room smelled strongly of carpet fresh although there is no carpet. Cinder blocks would have been more comfortable than this bed. There was a sheet and the ”blanket” was a glorified plastic table cloth. And to top it off...the towels were stained with old mold and God knows what else. It was absolutely the most disgusting room I have ever seen. There was not an option to give this rating a ZERO
