Una vera meraviglia a due passi da Polignano a Mare. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile. Quando siamo arrivati, alle 15 circa, era appena iniziato un matrimonio (eravamo stati avvisati al momento della presentazione), la sera verso le 11.30 gli ospiti sono andati via e il personale ha riordinato tutto senza il minimo rumore! Da provare assolutamente

Booked two deluxe rooms (one for single pax and the other for two pax) but was given two rooms of different sizes instead - not very impressed to say the least! Room decor has seen its better days to be honest! Plastic tables and chairs in the room for a 4-star property are pure cheapskates! Air conditioning still hasn’t been switched back on in late April when temperature already reaching low 20 Celsius! Had to stay and sleep in the room with window shut because of noisy disco noises nearby lasting beyond 2 am in the wee hours of Sunday morning ! Got ‘roasted and baked’ in the room with no ventilation as a result - not very ideal when covid is still raging! Still couldn’t understand why the hotel still insists on ‘no self-service’ for buffet breakfast - apparently in the name of covid! ‘Accidentally’ tried to pick up some breakfast items by myself on arrival as there was no sign on display stating the not-so-obvious ‘no self-service’ policy but was told off by one of 2 staff members on duty with plate being ‘snatched’ from my hands! The paradox being this practice caused long queue with only 2 staff members available to pick and dish out items for guests! Long queue and mass gathering of guests would not spread covid but picking up your own food with disinfected hands would apparently! Few ironic observations made though! The two specific staff members on food picking duty didn’t wear gloves at all when picking food with thongs for guests - is that even covid-safe??? One of the two members on that specific food picking duty went on to pick food for guests after clearing and cleaning up table with bare hands and then went over to do their food picking duty for other guests without washing or disinfecting their hands - covid safe I fear not??? If insisting on ‘no self-service’ policy, make sure you have sufficient staff to handle constant stream of guests coming in for breakfast! I was certainly being put off by either long queue or absent staff to help pick the food I wanted!

Not the place to stay if you don't have your own transport. There are no restaurants, bars or shops within walking distance. The nearest town is 5 kms away, although there is a local bus. The beach has no sand, only rocks and sand coloured concrete and is situated some distance from the hotel. The restaurant & pizzeria isn't accessible from the hotel, if it rains as it did one night you've got a 10 minutes walk to get there. Also they don't open until 7.30pm and the bar in the hotel only opens in the winter. If you want a pre-dinner drink you have to get to it from the beach bar in a plastic glass. The room was basic and the bed was uncomfortable with hard mattress pillows. The bathroom was bad with small shower cubicle with cheap plastic sliding doors. The shower tray was crazed and the grout round the tray and tiles was black and dirty. The toilet seat and lid were old and yellowed with the rubbers pads missing so clattered every time you put the seat or lid down. There was a small balcony which didn't seem to get cleaned at all, just big enough to hang things out to dry but no chairs and not big enough to sit out. We got the bus to the nearest town most evenings to eat as the food wasn't great and was expensive.

Posto molto accogliente, i proprietari sono molto gentili. Il posto è calmo, la piscina è molto pulita e bella. Unici punti “da migliorare” secondo noi: -La colazione : sarebbe più comodo accedere al caffè in modo autonomo senza aspettare , più scelta di yogurt e spremute fresche Le torte sono molto buone però anche se troppe rispetto al resto :) - Nel Trullo c’è molta luce che entra in camera e piccoli problemi nel bagno (asse che si muove ) La disponibilità dei proprietari e la localizzazione sono ottimi!!

I warmly recommend Zodiacus Residence. Everything was very good. Starting from the fact that the location is excellent, right in the middle of the city, close to all the city's attractions. Restaurants, bars, cafes, all are a stone's throw from the location. The rooms, which have a vintage atmosphere, are very clean. The staff deals with this aspect on a daily basis. The rooms are equipped with everything you need, including a small kitchen where you can prepare a breakfast. There you will find an electric stove, a small electric oven, a refrigerator and everything else you need. I traveled with two families who had children aged 9 and 12. It was also very useful for them to be able to prepare a breakfast for them. Our host was very kind. She helped us with any information we requested. We will gladly return to Zodiacus Residence.
