Newly renovated hotel in little india area. Close walk to Jalan Bunga Raya where there's a path to the river and lots of cafes. Room is clean and quiet. Breakfast is simple but filling. Service is v friendly. I would stay there again.

The hotel location at Jln Merdeka, Bandar Hilir Melaka. Near at Mahkota Parade and Dataran Pahlawan. Parking is free provided by the hotel. No Deposit when you check in the hotel. Staff hotel is friendly and helpful. The room is clean tidy and comfortable. Air-conditioning is cold. Easy to get the food and beverage by walking distance.

I was very satisfied with my stay at Mio Boutique Hotel in Melaka. I was a bit doubtful because of the mixed reviews, but my personal experience was just great! The hotel is clean and modern. My (single) room (no. 308) was quite small but perfect for single occupation. The bed is very comfy. The AC works well. There is a big Sony LCD TV, a very nice shower, a kettle etc. Everything looked pretty new (or renovated) to me. Because of Ramadan, the hotel's breakfast area was closed, but the hotel has an agreement with the four star hotel next door (inside the mall) where you can enjoy a fantastic breakfast buffet. Enjoyed the good breakfast here ,especially the coffee machine available to have a cup of coffee in the morning. Hotel room was clean but a bit dirty on the towel . The service team was great and friendly. A bit disappointed was the swimming pool is small and close early .

This is a very new hotel which started their business in March 2023. Wanted to try on the first day of opening but due to some reason, it was delayed till now. It’s a first Marriott hotel in Melaka, so I do have very high expectations from them. As a Marriott platinum elite member, I’ve stayed in many hotel under Marriott organisation. Upon reaching the hotel with grab car, the staff came up to me immediately and lead me to the check in counter, the lobby are huge, and I can still smell that the hotel are still so new. Not much of the guest in the lobby area, it’s a Monday so I guess it’s normal. No suite room upgrade and no complimentary breakfast for a platinum member, although I was upgraded to a strait view room which I appreciated it. It can see a tiny bit of the sea. Apart from that, I guess the room size and amenity are the same. The check in staff told me that the suite room was full… I mean.. it’s a Monday.. and I literally still can see the suite room was available in the Bonvoy app. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been to many hotel under Marriott organisation. I don’t always get upgraded to a suite room, but it was okay, I do understand all these are subjected to individual hotel policy and it’s all a good will. But I guess the staff could just tell me that the hotel are still new, the suite room are limited and it’s reserved for paying guest. I would totally understand that. But I don’t think it’s wise to you know, use a default replied as member like us, we check on the app. For me, if there’s no available suite room, I wouldn’t even ask for an upgrade. Secondly, there’s no complimentary breakfast, I paid RM70 for the 2 day breakfast. I’ve stayed in a few courtyard hotel, this was the first one that I’ve paid for breakfast, there might be other courtyard that don’t provide complimentary breakfast for guest with elite status, maybe I didn’t stay much enough to see it all. I’ve stayed with hotel that told me that their facility actually don’t offer complimentary breakfast for elite member, but they will just give it to me as a good will on top of my welcome gift. Just a little suggestion, like maybe let the counter staff to decide, if they could slip in some complimentary breakfast to guest with elite status or even guest that potentially come back again. I’m not complaining here, just some of my suggestions. The room are new, nice and spacious, very clean. Nice TV channel selection, view was great. Bed are firm to the level that I like, they offer pillow menu as well. Had very good sleep for the 2 night. Breakfast was very basic. There’s a very annoying flies flying around my table.. how did it come into the hotel, lol. Gym are small but there should be everything you need. The infinity pool are great! Very good view and very Instagrammable. Please visit the pool when you are here. The staff and friendly and nice. Would come back again to the hotel when I’m back in Melaka.

The hotel is in a convenient location, but parking is quite troublesome. The room is managed separately from the hotel, requiring us to park in an opposite lot, which is about a 10-minute drive to the highest floor. Unfortunately, the room was not clean. The toilet also needed attention, and there was a persistent odor reminiscent of dampness that we couldn't eliminate, even after purchasing a freshener. Additionally, there were stains on the walls and throughout the room. I provided feedback to the management, but it appears my message went unnoticed. On a positive note, the room does offer a great view of the river and the city and the bed is very comfortable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The location is perfect, situated in the heart of Melaka, making it convenient to explore all the main attractions. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and efficient service. The check-in process was smooth and quick, and I felt like a valued guest throughout my stay. The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated, with all the modern amenities one could ask for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. I particularly enjoyed the stunning view from my window, which added to the overall ambiance of relaxation.

We booked this hotel as per recommended by other guests reviews. However, the first thing we feel upon arriving at 3pm is that the lobby is very warm, there is not even a think cold air blowing from the ceiling air-con. Anyway, we booked 2 rooms a week ago and we were told that the rooms are not ready, yet. The check-in time for this hotel is 3pm, but we have waited 30 minutes only to get our first room and another 30 minutes to get second room. The first room was super dark as there were only 1 light working, so we ended up calling the maintenance to fix all other lights in the room. The second room was not clean, hair were everywhere and there's even a pair of leggings hanging in the wardrobe. Both rooms showers were not properly clean, hence the water is not able to run, as it's clogged due to massive hair balls stucked in the hole. That's not all. As our rooms doesn't comes with breakfast, we bought 2 breakfast for the first room for next day. There was no meal vouchers given to us except the receipt as the receptionist told us to show just the room key to the cafe staff. But, the cafe staff refused to let us in even after we showed the room key to him. He told us that we need to present meal voucher to him, which was not told to us by the receptionist. We told him to checked in the system as we have paid for it and he refused to do so. He shoved us away immediately without checking further. After all the hassle, we went to the receptionist at lobby and seek for refund. And we were told that it takes 15 working days for the refund (which is MYR30 only). We paid by cash for the breakfast when we check in, but we cannot get our cash back instantly for refusing us go enter the cafe. We don't think that we deserved such treatment by the hotel staff, just because the room rate are affordable, doesn't means the hospitality standards can be regards as third world class. What else can we ask for? If it's not due to TripAdvisor system, I don't even want to give even 1 rating.

Love it so much, we stayed here for 3 days 2 nights, the rooms are very clean, wide and equipped with basic equipments and electrical appliances such as microwave, electrical stove, fridge, washing machine and TV. You will be assigned one unique parking lot for each unit after checked in. Customer service is so excellent and efficient. The view is pretty nice, can even see Encore Melaka from our unit. Will come here again next time.

This is not my first time staying at Ames Hotel, it's my third time, and it will be the last!! I travel for business almost every week, both within Malaysia and abroad. I have stayed in dozens of hotels, as you can see from my record on the Agoda website, but this has been the worst stay ever!!! I arrived at midnight, and no staff assisted with my luggage. There was a male staff in a black shirt who just walked past me at my car without offering any help, and there was also a pregnant woman (a customer) who just got out of her car to check in, and no one helped her either. The night manager, named FARED, assisted with my check-in. I requested a late check-out at 3 PM because I had an event under my company at the Ames Hotel as well, but the next morning, he informed me that I had to check out at 2 PM. I complied even though I had told Mr. FARED the night before about the late check-out at 3 PM. However, when I was having breakfast at the Merchant Lounge, a manager named JOSEPH told me that I had to check out by 1 PM, even though FARED had confirmed with me the night before that I could check out by 2 PM. I find this completely unacceptable. JOSEPH also mentioned that my room was upgraded for free, even though I paid extra for the suite—it was not free. I found this extremely rude and unprofessional because he did not check my room details before speaking with me. He made it seem like I received a complimentary upgrade and was not entitled to the service I deserved. This is extremely disrespectful, and this is my honest review of Ames Hotel Melaka.
