We came by car from Rabat. You can leave the car outside the Medina and leave it safely for a fee that you can negotiate down. We paid 50 DH for 2 days. We were able to find the way relatively easily using Google Maps, even though we initially thought we were going the wrong way. If you come by car, you shouldn't drive through the Medina as Google Maps shows, but stay on the outer ring :D
The guesthouse itself is a small idyll within the bustling Medina. We were greeted with mint tea and pastries. The hosts were super friendly and gave us tips on what to see and where to eat well. The room was clean and the breakfast was completely sufficient. The roof terrace is a big plus.
We would come again :)

Hassma and the team are so friendly and helpful. A traditional riad, located on the edge of the inner wall of old town. Fairly, linear route to main square, around a 20 minute (ish) walk. Good for taxi pick up and drop off. Thank you Hassma for a wonderful stay 👍

Absolutely could not recommend enough! At first I was really concerned due to the walk from the taxi drop off to the hotel and lots of alley ways and hardly any English people around, but I’m used to holidays in Tenerife so was very different for me! The staff were absolutely amazing and couldn’t do enough for you, breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning, the sun terrace was a nice place to relax and chill! There’s no restaurants around but if you’re hungry there is a shop round the corner selling snacks and the staff will order you a Pizza Hut if you give them the money. She sorted out our excursion for us aswell which was quad biking and camel riding in the desert with dinner and a show, 100% recommend that too! Rooms were a nice size with a safe and AC

Amazing hosts, very welcoming, breakfast was divine, all fresh, room had AC a beautiful bathroom, very comfortable bed. It was a 15 minute walk to the main square, not many restaurants close by but many in a walkable distance. I can’t recommend the hospitality of the hosts enough. Absolutely loved every minute.

Charming and peaceful Riad with lovely staff. Naturally old rooms, clean and spacious enough for us 2 travellers. Very comfortable beds, the shower was a bit temperamental with hot water. Breakfast with fresh bread or pancakes was nice. Once we asked for a dinner, which was Moroccan, plenty and delicious. Best we liked the welcoming, helpful and always smiling staff. Thanks a lot for some wonderful memories in Marrakesh!

It was not as described the plunge pool was covered with a plank of wood with furniture on top, the bathroom was filthy, there was no room for one suitcase never mine two. The room was smelly and damp. With 10cm either side of the bed to the wall. We were told it was situated 15 min walk to the square, it was a 15min ride in a taxi, with no car access. We left the next day :(
Response from Property: Good morning We thank you for your opinion even if it is not positive. This is an opportunity for us to provide certain clarifications in case we have not expressed ourselves well. The classification of our riad is decided by the Moroccan tourist office after multiple checks. The pool opens as explained on our site only from April to October. Outside of this period, we take advantage of this space to install a floor to accommodate an additional lounge in the center of the patio. We are also surprised by your remark about the cleanliness and the bad smell in the room. This remark does not reflect previous comments which are always complimentary regarding the cleanliness of the Riad as a whole. Even if the rooms are narrow (20 cm on each side of the 140 cm bed), the photos confirm that it is indeed an authentic Riad and not a modern hotel. The place is a good 15 minute walk strolling through the souks and our location is still ideal because it is close to the exit of the medina with a car park 100 m away which serves as a starting point for excursions. Even if your stay with us was shortened, our staff still assisted you with your change of accommodation by helping you find a taxi. We hope that you will keep good memories of your stay in Marrakech Laure and Bernard

I just returned from staying at Riad Ailen in Marrakesh. I great place to stay for the price and a wonderful hosts await. The house is a few strolls away from a taxi drop, it relatively has a more local feel than tourist neighbourhood about 20 mins walk from the main square in the city. The rooms are pretty decent and clean. They have standard breakfast and they're good in arranging any day trips you would like and they have recommended some good once. The only downer is may be they have got the dipping pool closed at this time of the year cause it is a colder season ( mind you it's still 32-33 degrees in the day in Marrakesh in October, but other than that all good for me.

The riad is a haven in the madness that is Marrakech, it is so quiet . The rooms are old (naturally) but are kept very clean the bed is very comfortable and made every day , clean towels everyday and absolutely nothing is too much trouble for Hassna, Abdul and Niama ( apologies for any incorrect spelling) Tie breakfast though basic is fresh everyday and includes baguette , and pastries of the area with jam , honey and butter. Tea or coffee and fresh orange juice . We chose to eat at the riad as well the meals were three courses a salad or dips to start with fresh bread a meat course from tagine with potatoes and vegetables or couscous and dessert of fresh fruit or fruit puree /mousse all delicious and homemade by the staff. The meals were €12 per person and was more than you can eat We hired a taxi to take us to Carrefour to stock up on alcohol which was handy as no one nearby sells even beer or wine ( which of course was expected) The area of the riad was a bit too hectic for us and we chose to take a taxi to the attractions after a couple of days of continuous hassling and being followed by random men despite telling them we didn’t need any help All in all was an experience we met some lovely humble people and would recommend the Riad Ailen

Wonderful. I was made welcome like i was a visitor not a guest. Hassna and Niama made me feel like a friend from the start, they were warm, friendly and inviting making me feel very comfortable. My room was lovely with complimentary ac which was great. The whole place was spotless. There was a roof terrace with tables and chairs, loungers and a tent like covered area,it had beautiful plants so was a really relaxing place to sit and soak up the sun. Both Hassna and Niama were really chatty, Hassna speaks both english and french and while i do speak french it was nice to have the option. Breakfast was exactly what i wanted, and i was even given a jar of homemade fig jam that Niama had made to take home. The riad is about 2.5 km from Jemaa el-Fna square but its a pretty straight forward walk. I took photos of my route incase i got lost, but if you have a problem any of the locals will help, you may need to speak french though. I would have no hesitation in recommending Riad Ailen it was fabulous and some place i will definately make a return visit to, after all i now have two friends there called Hassna and Niama 🥰🥰🥰 i arrived as a stranger and left as a friend .

We have just come home from our first visit to Marrakech. We stayed at Riad Ailen. In the heart of authentic Marrakech. My husband and I took our 3 children with us for the trip and had a wonderful stay. We were made to feel so welcome and comfortable. The Riad was beautiful. The staff were helpful and so friendly. We would thoroughly recommend staying here. Thank you for your hospitality!

What a great discovery! A charming Riad, with such kind and helpful staff. A real warm welcome. Hassna, Naima, Abdou and Younes take great care of you for a more than perfect stay. We stayed 4 nights and everything was perfect. We really recommend this Riad, it is perfectly located to enjoy the city and all its lively streets. Hassna can help you organize your outings and desires during your stay. Naima gave me the experience of a real traditional hammam and it was great. One thing is certain: we will come back!

We went to the Riad for a week, five people. We were welcomed at the airport by a shuttle which took us directly to the Riad where Asnaa was waiting for us and offered us welcome tea. A relaxing, joyful, exotic and sunny week followed. We made the most of the Riad with its shaded terrace where we could rest and sunbathe, the small swimming pool area is very refreshing. The Riad is cut off from all outside noise except of course daily prayers. This Riad is a little paradise that I recommend to everyone….great welcome, very clean, excellent meals, nothing to say. We were able to laugh and share good moments of conviviality. And this with very good advice for visiting Marrakech. Everyone speaks French, which helps. We hope to return next year.
