Hotels near Silaiman Jumma Masjid, Madurai

My wife and I had stayed here for a couple of nights. Here is my review: THE GOOD: 1. Brand New Hotel, beautiful ambience, the rooms, while slightly compact, are luxurious and sparkling clean. 2. No Plastics policy, drinking water is kept in glass bottles. 3. Superb amenities in the Toilet ( Dove brand soap/shampoo/lotions on tap) 4. Overall Good Service. 5. Room Rates are Reasonable ( Except for Suite Categories which are exorbitantly priced- the rates must be reduced by atleast 30%).Book Direct on their website for best rates and offers. THE NOT SO GOOD: 1. Location -a bit far off from the city. Cabs can be tough to get sometimes( especially early mornings/late night). The Travel Desk at the Hotel should offer Cabs 24/7 at competitive rates( for both local/Outstation) at short notice. 2. No super Markets/Major Restaurants/malls etc ( except for a Thallappakatti ) nearby within walking distance. 3. I have seen food/coffee trays lying outside rooms for hours together. This gives the impression of a 'Lodge' rather than a aspiring ''5 star Hotel'. Room Service should be very attentive that trays are cleared immediately. 3. Lack of Proper Communication/Transparency during allotment of Rooms on Check-in which was underwhelming: a. There was just one front desk executive at check-in counter at around 10.15 pm, with multiple guests waiting to check-in b. I had requested for an upgrade from a 'Business Class Room' to 'Grand Club Room'. Both rooms are the same( in size and otherwise). No proper explanation given on what category of room I was allotted. I was told that i have been given lounge access. No proper info given on what entails 'Lounge access'. c. One Lady receptionist said that the room I was allotted(434) is a 'Grand Club Room'. Later on check out I was told it is a 'Business Class Room'. Also the next day one receptionist called and said I am not eligible for 'Lounge Access'. The front desk team looks highly confused and un-coordinated. Think the entire front desk has to undergo proper training so that they speak in one voice. d. In every Star hotel I have stayed, a hostess from the front desk accompanies the guest to the room. Nothing of this sort was done. e. No Welcome Drink. No explanation on inclusions in package ( for eg 15% discount on F&B) In short the check-in experience could have been more 'WELCOMING'. However being a new hotel, I expect the above to be nothing more than teething issues. Overall, highly recommended, the BEST LUXURY ALL NEW HOTEL at Madurai. We shall be back.

Nice hotel. In our colors Food: vegetarian line, with meat and desserts. Everything is beautiful and delicious. A little protein for breakfast for vegetarians. The restaurant is very nice. Rooms: beautiful, large. Very comfortable pillows. There is not much in the bathroom, but everything is enough. Difficulties: you need to fill up the Internet and wait a few minutes without touching the phone. Then it will boot and work fine. It knocks out if the phone is locked. But when you open the settings, it quickly returns without additional password input. Unfortunately, there was no time to find out more about the hotel and whether there is a pool. The elevators work according to the cards. The atmosphere is very suitable for business trips.

I had an incredible stay at the Marriott hotel! The room was exceptionally comfortable and spotlessly clean, making it a perfect retreat after a long day of travel. What truly stood out was the amazing staff—they were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable experience. I couldn't have asked for better hospitality. Highly recommend this hotel for a truly enjoyable stay!

Such a good property, service was very convincing and more over the swimming pool and rooms were clean. Breakfast was okayish but nothing to be complained

Hotel Grand Sabarees is conveniently loacted with close proximity to the Railway station, good vegetarian restaurants and Meenakshi temple. The rooms are very well maintained and clean. The pricing is very reasonable. The staff are very courteous and try their best to help the guests feel comfortable. They even accommodated our request for an early check-in by an hour. The rooms are small and compact, nealy maintained and the bathrooms are also maintained very clean. Hot water is available 24 hours. Food from outside is allowed to be taken to the rooms - no in house restaurant is available - however, some good restaurants are available in close proximity. The railway station is walkable and so is the bus stand. We would prefer this stay when we travel to Madurai.

There was a problem with the room when I arrived but when I complained the front desk staff moved me immediately. However the next room had a big problem with a very strong drain smell coming from the bathroom. Come on guys, sort this out. The staff try so hard to make the stay memorable but then there is a problem like this which is easy to fix. I have given four stars, not three, as the staff are so kind and helpful.

The staff is courteous and warm. Everyone was so nice to us. Arti chaudhary and Ramaraj were so nice to my boy. The Diwali buffet was awesome. I definitely recommend this place if you are planning a visit to Madurai. The rooms are spacious, and the ambiance was so festive for Diwali.

The hotel is set in a peaceful and secluded place in Madurai. The drive from main entrance to the hotel is about a mile in a small wooded hill through a private drive way. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and offer good views. Since we had sent the car back, we were at a loss to understand how we can move about from this beautiful location. Mr. Ashok, the Accommodations Manager resolved the issue in no time and arranged a car for us to go about our business. The unassuming GM, Mr. Srivastava and the soft spoken Mr. Ashok made sure our stay was most enjoyable through their excellent interactions. The Executive Chef Tapan Sahoo and his team served top notch lunch and dinner every day. We did not expect such a variety of tasteful salads in South India. The main courses were equally tasteful. Mr.Muniswamy took us on a nature walk within the property and explained the various herbs and medicinal plants growing in the hills. Overall, the personal touch of the leadership team made our stay very enjoyable.

Nice stay.Room was clean and fresh.Comfortable bed.Excellent food.Staffs were very kind and helpful.Safe environment for solo stay for ladies.I would highly recommend tis place for a good and comfortable stay.Overall great experience.

The front desk service was very good, but the business was very bad. To the hotel, don't let early check in understand, the front desk asks for the price, go to the restaurant to buy breakfast, the price of the restaurant is not the same as the price given by the front desk. When I checked out, I wanted to use the hotel's car to go to the airport. I asked the front desk for a price. I thought it was a little more expensive than Ola. It was okay. I said that I had a good meal and ordered it. After I came back, I changed the front desk. The price has changed. It is more expensive than Ola. Doubled. Early Check In, the hotel began to strictly demand that you can not check in early, must be 2 pm, after communication, helplessly understand, then go out for lunch, come back to 12 noon, found that the hotel even gave another pair of white couple check in, but also provide A towel and welcome drink. I didn't have this at all when I checked in. The above shows that hotel management is very confusing. The security guards greeted each other with enthusiasm. Breakfast is not expensive, but meals are average. The room hardware is very good, the air conditioning is also very powerful, but the refrigerator is very old, very noisy in the general heritage of the manor. The hygienic situation only looks beautiful, and if the wooden floor is stepped on, it will soon be dark. There are also a few large flies flying in the room, hey, a little disgusting. Overall, the price is not bad, that is, the front desk is very annoying, and the health situation is not equipped with hardware.
