The hotel is about 15 minutes from the international airport by taxi. It's about 15 minutes by taxi from the train station. There is a subway station nearby within a 3-minute walk. Very convenient. There are only six stations to take the metro to the palace. The hotel room is very spacious and clean, and there is a sofa bed, which is enough for a family to share a room.

I recently stayed at Hotel Puerta América and had a mixed experience. The hotel’s design is definitely its highlight—each floor features a unique style created by world-renowned architects, which makes for a visually exciting stay. The rooms are modern and spacious, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the decor.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The service, while polite, felt inconsistent. Check-in took longer than expected, and there were delays with room service on multiple occasions. Additionally, while the hotel boasts of its luxury, some amenities felt a bit dated, especially considering the price point.
The location is slightly away from the main tourist attractions, which is great if you’re looking for a quiet stay, but it’s not ideal for those wanting to be in the heart of the action.
Overall, Hotel Puerta América is a stylish and unique hotel, but there are areas where improvements could be made to justify the cost and overall experience.

Basically , it was a standard European hotel. The hotel is located a bit far from most of the attractions but close the airport too. So it was more like somewhere between the centre and the airport. The service was just fair and standard. Not so welcoming nor rude. The room was alright but not outstanding. The double bed was made of two single beds. So that might be a point to consider if you care about it.
There’s Carrefour Express just 3 min walk away, and you can get everything you might need for your stay. There’s no any amenities except shampoo and shower gel.

The hotel is located in a quiet high end neighborhood. Clise to a few foreign embassies. It is much less crowded than the downtown area. it is not very close to Plaza del Sol but we still walked there enjoying all the high end stores and petty buildings along the way. Our room was clean. Buffet breakfast pwas decent with sufficient number of chioces, better than eating outside for the price.

Everthing is good in this hotel the only issue is the high-pricing they take for ice drink which is 9 euro for ice, if you have 2-3 ice drinks its around 18-27 euro which is very high pricing comparing to other htoels (3-5 euro price), also the soy milk they take 2-3 euro which is high pricing (free-1 euro in other hotels), they have to reduce the pricing for small items, if yes this hotel will be with higher grade above 4.5 becuase the room is great and also the gym.
The Hotel Santo Mauro invites you on a journey in Madrid in the 19th century, at the home of the influential Duke of Santo Mauro. With its French-influenced design and architecture, our 5-star, historic hotel in Madrid consists of three buildings set in a sophisticated private garden, with fountains and terraces shaded by ancient chestnut trees. The guest rooms are full of special details and historical references that immerse you in the past. Each public room is unique: The Red Room reflects pure French Classicism, while the oriental pieces in the Chinese Lounge recall the objects the Duke used to collect on his travels. The Wine Bar offers an extensive list of wines and small dishes, while the main restaurant, housed in the Duke's former Library, offers a level of cuisine commensurate with its palatial setting. Music, fresh flowers, arts and crafts, and highly attentive service from the household staff round off the unique experience of staying in a palace.

Can be an extra bed, we are 8 years old and there is no extra bed fee. But this time the hygiene is not good. On the day of the check-in, the bathtub in the room was all sand and stone. It was not cleaned. Waiting for the waiter to open the night bed, I asked for cleaning. In the evening, I went to the small garden to rest, and I ordered a glass of champagne. The waiter actually used a glass of water-filled glass (estimated to be washed and not dried) and poured champagne directly to me, hehe! The next day, the children will sleep more than 7 o'clock in the afternoon. As a result, the children's bed and the quilt are inexplicably wet. Later I went to the front desk and asked them to make better bedding. Very hurt. In such a good location, the rest of the hotel is very good, it is a sanitary situation, it is unacceptable.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the Prado Museum, the Royal Palace of Madrid, and the city center. We basically walked to all the attractions in the city, and it is not far from the train station. We walked around the city center on the day we arrived, and just walked to the Retiro Park, watched the sunset, and walked back to the hotel. There are also many places to eat near the hotel. When we first checked in, we were given a warm cookie, which was so heartwarming. There is an ironing board and iron in the room, which is very considerate. We used it. Other hotels we stayed in during the trip really didn't have irons and ironing boards. Shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, and hand soap are all British Crabtree and Evelyn, which smells good. The room we stayed in is relatively large and soundproof. There are a few breakfast varieties, but the waiter asked us what we wanted to drink on the first day, tea or coffee. He remembered our preferences on the second day. The receptionist at the front desk was very polite. He greeted us with a smile every time we entered and exited. This enthusiasm was particularly contagious. On the first day of arrival, the gentleman at the front desk was very considerate and gave us a map and told us the approximate walking distance, time, and popular attractions. We had a very pleasant 2 days!

Great location. Very clean rooms, sheet change and coffee refill everyday. A bit small rooms even if it is premium, especially the toilets. Don't expect too much. Regarding the reception service, okay-ish. Based on the personnel the service level varies, for instance we were served by the dark blonde male receptionist who didn't explain almost any of the amenities and was with an upset face all of the duration, whereas next to him there was another guy who was enthusiastically explaining all, moreover booking some flamenco entertainment even if he wasn't asked to. The worst part is the breakfast which is below average, even if we have paid for 3 days, we didn't have breakfast at the hotel after the first day. Overall a happy experience if you don't count the breakfast.

Outstanding
TTraveler 123recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Palacio de los Duques in Madrid, and I must say that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I entered the magnificent palace-like building, I was captivated by the grandeur and elegance that surrounded me.
The hotel's location in the heart of Madrid's historic center is perfect for exploring the city's attractions. Many iconic landmarks, such as the Royal Palace and Plaza Mayor, are within walking distance, making it convenient for sightseeing enthusiasts like me.
The staff at Palacio de los Duques Madrid truly went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service provided by the concierge, every interaction was marked by genuine hospitality and professionalism.
The room I stayed in was beautifully appointed and exuded a sense of luxury. The elegant decor, comfortable furnishings, and modern amenities created a perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring the city. The attention to detail was impeccable, and I appreciated the little touches that enhanced my stay, such as the plush bathrobes and high-quality toiletries.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's stunning rooftop terrace. Offering panoramic views of Madrid's skyline, it provided a breathtaking backdrop for enjoying a drink or simply unwinding while taking in the city's beauty. The on-site restaurant also surpassed my expectations with its delectable cuisine, showcasing a fusion of traditional and contemporary flavors.
Hotel Palacio de los Duques Madrid seamlessly blends historical charm with modern luxury. The preservation of the building's architectural heritage, combined with the impeccable service and attention to detail, creates an unforgettable experience.
Overall, my stay at Hotel Palacio de los Duques Madrid exceeded all expectations. It is a true gem in the heart of Madrid, offering a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and convenience. Whether you are visiting for business or leisure, I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable stay in the vibrant capital city of Spain.
TTraveler 123Amazing location!
The Hotel Palace Madrid is a historic and luxurious hotel located in the heart of the city. The building dates back to 1912 and has been beautifully restored to its former glory. From the moment you step through the grand entrance, you're transported to a world of elegance and sophistication.
The hotel's location is perfect for exploring Madrid. It's within walking distance of many of the city's most popular attractions, including the Prado Museum, the Royal Palace, and the Gran Via. The hotel is also close to several Metro stations, making it easy to travel further afield.
The service at the Hotel Palace Madrid is exceptional. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always on hand to assist with anything you need. From the moment you arrive, you're made to feel like a valued guest, and the service only gets better from there.
The rooms at the hotel are spacious, beautifully decorated, and filled with natural light. They're equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a large, comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, and a luxurious bathroom. The attention to detail is impressive, with little touches like fresh flowers and complimentary water bottles adding to the overall experience.
One of the highlights of staying at the Hotel Palace Madrid is dining at one of the hotel's restaurants. The hotel has several dining options, including the Michelin-starred Restaurant La Terraza del Casino, which serves innovative and delicious cuisine. The hotel also has a beautiful bar, which is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cocktail after a day of exploring the city.
The hotel's facilities are excellent. There's a fully equipped gym, a spa, and a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the city. The hotel also has several meeting and event spaces, making it an ideal choice for business travelers.
Overall, the Hotel Palace Madrid is a truly exceptional hotel. From its beautiful architecture and elegant decor to its exceptional service and prime location, everything about this hotel is top-notch. If you're looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay in Madrid, I highly recommend the Hotel Palace Madrid.
DDr. Julio BernalThe hotel’s location was very convenient, the breakfast buffet was outstanding. The downside was that the room was very basic and small. The bathroom was average even though the shower was very nice. The general facilities lack amplitude. The size of the pool is really small. It is like a kid’s pool. The gym is very small as well. Overall, it is a good hotel but its facilities could be better.
GGuest UserThere are four stages in the journey, and I am now on the third stage. Madrid is the second stage.
This hotel is the best one among the three stages so far!!
The room is very clean and spacious. There is a safe and a refrigerator.
The toilet is separated into wet and dry areas. There is a circle of mirrors in the toilet, which makes it convenient for me and my friend to move separately. While she washes, I can also put on makeup. There are hand soap/shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion.
Free water every day!! Super considerate.
The service is also very nice. There is a restaurant on the 0th floor. Those who push large luggage can enter from the side door of the restaurant. There are only steps at the hotel entrance.
There is a bus stop and a subway station next to the hotel, so the transportation is relatively convenient. You can walk to Retiro Park in the morning. You can also pass by two large supermarkets on the way.
GGuest UserAll very well!! The location is WONDERFUL! Ideal for exploring the center of Madrid on foot from one side to the other, a 10. The building is beautiful and everything is very clean. There is only one drawback, the bells of the monastery next door... they ring from 6 in the morning, every hour. If you have no problem going back to sleep, or it doesn't affect you, the superior rooms are wonderful, the views over the rooftops of Madrid... spectacular. If you are bothered by noise, it is better to choose one of the interior rooms. They also have windows, but they face the interior patio of the hotel, which has a glass window that separates the bar-rest area and makes these rooms very quiet. We stayed in a junior suite on the 5th floor one night, my husband was not bothered by the bells, but they kept me awake and for the next night we asked for a change. And in the interior room on the 2nd floor, although it was half the size of the other, we were very comfortable. No noise, very comfortable bed, shower with a lot of pressure, everything new, but preserving the charm of the old embassy. I would repeat without hesitation!
GGuest UserGreat location, very nice breakfast, there is also a Starbucks right outside the enterance which is nice. Literally a two minute walk to Gran Via street where you can find anything you could possibly need. The staff was polite, the rooms were clean and very quiet at least on the 5th floor :) Overall would recommend and come back again. Gracias Madrid!
SSC from HKGood in location, near Atocha station.
Good hotel facilities.
Good star services.
Good breakfast.
BUT be careful to select the room, my room get a big column inside living room and bath room, very bad experience.
I book the Superior twin room, but not superior, only at 1/F. No place to put our luggage, no table to put our accessories.
May be you have to pay more to book large room will be better.
And bad entrance design, you need to to go inside through a staircase, will be a problem if you have heavy luggage.
GGuest User2 nights there. Very nice checking, eye-contact, body language, speech, correct approaching and fast. I felt welcome.
The hotel: I loved the kind like dark-atmosphere, it's not a sun-like bright hotel, it's elegant and classic. Don't expect cheap Chinese LEDs ON every corner. Furniture and colors are very inviting to a relaxed state of mind. The room was big enough, classical furniture, 2 comfy armchairs, heavy and blocking light curtains do the job. Bed, quite comfy and big. Wrong pillows. I would have enjoyed more if a 3rd (extra) bed wasn't there. Is the idea to make me feel more lonely? :-) Reception made a cock-up. I'm single traveler, I booked for 2. I didn't bother to ask to remove Soundproofing: once you step out of the lift: no echo on large aisle. Carpets floors all over, solid furniture plus all the surrounding trees makes the trick. Once inside the room: you hear next door people having a conversation, doors opening. Seriously! It really sucks! I went ill, upset stomach and I didn't felt relaxed to use the closed as much as needed. On the other hand: the adults games? How to manage it? Mute on?
Parking is super. It's approved even for those with only 2 remaining points on theirs driving license. :-)
I would come back as a single traveler.
My greetings to the cleaning staff. Good job. Thank you.
GGuest UserNice hotel close to airport (about 10 mins by taxi) good price for a double room with free 24h access to a little gym with running machines and weights station. Would recommend.
