Sea Views in Luxury at Lyttelton Boatique House - 14 km from Christchurch

I have been a fan of act. I have to say, this house is an masterpiece of art. You can feel the owner spend a lot of time and effects in every detail, every coner of the house. You are not only spend a night for a simple stay but also an amazing visit to a art museum. If one day, i am going to build my own house for my wife, i will consult with the house owner. Trust me it is much worthwhile than you think.

We stayed at the boutique house in Lyttleton and were happy there! You have a whole house, kitchen, laundry and spectacular views! Francis is right next door and was so friendly and helpful! If you love views that aren’t common, and a stay that is memorable, this is definitely a place that should be on your list! We hiked the bridal path, walked around diamond harbor and rode the ferry. The style of this house just has to be seen to be believed! Francis is a genius with decorating and the house is not like your average boring hotel stay. The views out of all the windows are also spectacular. Don’t even think of missing the Saturday morning street market! The vendors are engaging and also don’t miss the breakfast at the Lyttleton coffee company. Choose this place and you won’t be bored!

Very lovely views of the harbour from the deck, which is where you'll want to park yourselves, and very good access to the shops and cafes (5-10min walk). At first glance it may seem fairly expensive per night but if you are staying there with three couples then its pretty good value. Good facilities that are well maintained.

It was a very handy location to town. Walking distance to seafood restaurant, a must eat. Interesting views of the port. Francis was very welcoming, lovely scones and jam. Well equiped home. Special treat with the lolly jars!

We had an amazing experience at the Lyttelton Boatique house. The house has the best view of the harbor and was an easy walk into town. The house was immaculate and decorated with interesting antiques and memorabilia. We enjoyed every minute there! Of other importance, we traveled to NZ after a state of emergency and needed to catch up with our cruise ship in Lyttleton. Our luggage never made it and the owner offered to give me clothes or whatever we might need. She took the initiative to make a dining reservation for us at the nicest restaurant in town so we had a wonderful place to eat that night. She also drove us to the shuttle for the ship and refused to take any extra money for her trouble. The Boatique house and its owner were our literal shelter in the storm and we are forever grateful!! We missed so much of NZ but if everyone is as wonderful as Frances, we got a real exposure to the wonderful people and culture of NZ. Thanks you Frances!!

A lovely host and a unique location. Great little walk up to the town, easy to pick up groceries. Well equipped kitchen and bed was very comfortable. Thank you Frances for being so very accommodating.
