An old guesthouse with a lot of flawns. Broken blinds at the windows, small dirty bathroom. It might be in the middle of the old town, but that it maybe the only good point about it. Not a guesthouse to visit again.

Dated rooms. Carpet from another age, neither clean nor dirty. Shower room from the 60s. Just a “hello” with a smile at the reception of the Baslertor hotel on which this dormitory depends. For 200.-/night, it's a steal and what's more: a bottle of water worth 0.50CHF rated at CHF 5.-. The beds are straight out of a recycling center! No air conditioning but a ceiling fan worthy of the '50s. I call it a slumlord. The location, however, is ideal: close to a covered car park and the center and the edge of the Reuss and the old Lucerne bridge. But this hotel puts the Swiss hotel industry to shame, frankly!

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. There is no reception staff, you have to go to a hotel opposite, the girl is not friendly at all, there is no parking. The facilities were very old-fashioned, you could hear all the noises when going up stairs that creaked. But worst of all: we did not have hot water during our entire stay!!! The wifi was good.

Nous étions le jour de fermeture du restaurant..seul bémol. Déjeuner très bien.. personnel très pro.. chambre certes sans clim mais propre et spacieuse. Une prochaine fois sans hésitation et en ciblant les jours d'ouverture du restaurant... pour éviter de se remettre en route et d'être déçu.
