The hotel is very close to the high-speed rail station and a little far from the old town, about 30 minutes by taxi. The facilities are very new, the service is thoughtful, there are fruits, snacks, and milk for free in the evening, there are many varieties of breakfast, and there are cars to pick up and drop off when arriving and leaving. The overall feeling is good and worth staying.

Conveniently located at the center of the city, the hotel is close to supermarkets, shopping malls and with Luckin coffee and KFC right next door. Room is always clean and tidy. This lovely hotel is as close as you can get to the Longmen Grottoes! Walk or take the hotel shuttle down the hill, and the river and grottoes are in front of you! Our room had great beds, 2 kinds of pillows (I love the buckwheat pillow, my friend prefers the regular pillow), cool air conditioning (it's hot in July), & excellent, powerful shower with high quality shampoo, etc. Although our Chinese language skills are poor, the staff were patient, helpful, & highly service-oriented, using apps to communicate with us. They explained the finer details of getting tickets to the grottoes & moving around the area. The extensive breakfast buffet was terrific, with a huge range of choices to satisfy all palates--I prefer Chinese breakfast foods, my friend prefers Western style breakfast. Both of us were full and happy, ready to climb all the stairs at the grottoes. It is necessary to mention the dinner restaurant at Dong Shang Hotel. It was excellent. Eggplant=100% fantastic! Cilantro salad=100% wow! I recommend their dinner restaurant even if you are not staying at their hotel.

Next time I come to Luoyang, I will definitely choose this one. The room was very clean and warm with warm khaki color. The quilt in the room was also oversized, and the first time I didn't ask the hotel to add a quilt. The towels are also very soft. I actually placed an order at the hotel for the same hair dryer. I usually take Dyson out and feel heavy. The local characteristics of the hotel front desk are also very exquisite. The itinerary is too fast to shop. I chose Tang Qiannv and Tang Ma who I like very much at the front desk. Back home, I also received a souvenir gift from the hotel.

Beautiful hotel with a fantastic breakfast. We were a little frustrated at check in as we had paid for a more expensive room that wasn't ready on time so they tried to give us a lower end room under the false claim that it was an upgrade when it was in fact a downgrade. Additionally the pool was a public one located off site from the hotel. It was a nice facility but it would have been good to know as I almost went in my bathrobe which would have been an awkward walk around the block. With this minor issues we still had a nice and enjoyable stay.

I recommend staying here to families, international or domestic, for a few reasons: very friendly and professional services at check in and check out, housekeeping was top notch, the breakfast menu each morning had authentic Chinese menu. Ask about drop services if traveling by trains. The location is convenient to two malls, directly across from them. There were amazing food shops on the top floors of the Wanda Mall, where there were natives to of Luoyang eat and shop. The locals can tell definitely spot tourists. We visited the Buddhist Grottoes in Longmen and stayed in Luoyang.
