Stayed there for a week which required intensive physical activity and the food just didn’t cut it. Bland (salt and pepper was my only salvation) or something I wouldn’t eat entirely i.e. fish or onion tart, with the miserable manager making it clear (very rudely might I add) that no, you cannot opt for another option. The room was nice enough apart from the shower that flooded the bathroom with every use, so much so that the carpet outside of it was soggy for hours. I shared a room with three others and there was admittedly a decent amount of storage space. On our second to last day in the hotel the wifi completely cut out. My review would’ve been much more positive in other circumstances but the rude manager of the restaurant (or that’s what I assume he was) made the experience all the more unbearable. I do appreciate the server Valentin though as despite him not speaking much English he was polite and tried his best to cater to me and my colleagues.

Went with a group and everyone enjoyed their stay. Rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Within walking distance to all the shops and of course the main attraction. We didn’t really use the bar space but it was clean. Breakfast was ok.

The room looked nothing like the pictures online. Apparently they must have one decent room of which they take pics. I would compare this hotel to like staying at a Days Inn in the States. Maybe a 2 star quality hotel at most. Outdated and very basic rooms. No extra blankets. Slick shower with crud in the grout. No bathtub. Room felt like an old college dorm room. (New dorm rooms are nicer than the Alba.) the lobby looks nice, and the place has potential if they would do a major upgrade on the rooms. Also, if your tour company scheduled dinner at the hotel, skip it. Bad. Pay for your own dinner elsewhere.

Hotel itself is in a good location and offers decent facilities. The big selling point for us was the secure bike storage. We were able to use this and a luggage storage room before/after check-in/check-out, which was much appreciated. Staff were polite and friendly at all times. I'd recommend this hotel for anyone doing a cycling holiday/trip based from Lourdes.

Just returned from 3 nights and 4 days staying at the Alba. It wasnt our first time visiting Lourdes but it was our first time staying at this hotel. This will absolutely be the only place we stay from here on whenever we come back to Lourdes. The toilet and shower room are spotless and cleaned daily (unless you put the do not disturb sign on if you didnt want it cleaned everyday). The towels were crisp, white and clean and looked brand new .... plenty of towels provided and toiletries provided too. Lovely added touches! The rooms are spotlessly clean, modern and well looked after and maintained. Good air conditioning in the rooms. Only thing missing was a little fridge and maybe tea/coffee facilities but we managed without and had to just drink wine instead (🤭) The bed was so comfortable and we had such a good sleep each and everynight! Crisp white and clean bedding which shows how spotless everything was. The staff were always cheerful and helpful with anything we needed and the hotel was in a prime postion, on the banks of the river Gave, and within walking distance to the Grotto/Domain! We had a wonderful few days away in Lourdes, it is such a special and Holy place .... and staying at this hotel really helped to make it extra special ! See you next year please God. Thanks to all at the Alba x

The hotel is situated a little out of the way but it makes for quieter nights. Staff at the bar are pleasant. The staff at the hotel shop are miserable, cannot be bothered with customers and can be heard moaning about their shifts. The bar staff are pleasant and the bar can be nice and lively at night. The bed linen felt very sticky and damp, unpleasant. The balcony is also an accident waiting to happen, if you are 6ft tall the balcony will be practically at your hips & there is a hidden step which you can easily trip over, its a tiny and high up space. The decor is tired and old. We were bothered 3 times on our first morning by cleaners. First, two entered the room around 8:30am to clean, we told them no instantly and they left. An hour later, the same cleaner entered the room again, and when we told her no repeatedly she stood at the door for a minute before leaving. 5 minutes later, she entered again. This time we shouted no as we were losing the will to live. Upon complaining at reception we were told we should have had the do not disturb sign on. I don't understand how saying no 3 times isnt enough for the cleaners. At checkout we expected to pay the tourist tax, but instead were given a bill for €113. She charged us for an extra night for no reason. We said this was wrong and she fixed it, but this is just emblematic of our stay. Certainly not five star.

Stayed for 2 nights June 2022. The receptionists were so helpful. They offered us options for rooms and they even took us upstairs to see and to choose our rooms... something which I have never been offered in any hotel. Thank you for meeting our requests. The location is perfect if you're driving a car since there's a large free public car park round the corner and the hotel is only 10 mins on foot from the Sanctuary. The rooms are in immaculate condition. Breakfast was reasonable but not the best I've had. Can improve. On the whole I would definitely recommend this hotel without any doubt.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! I visit Tampa on business at least 20 times in any given year and have stayed at countless hotels in the area as a diamond member. I wish you could hear the giant nightclub happening in the hotel right now at 7pm on a Sunday night when most people are winding down to prepare for their work trips. The music is so loud it's shaking the entire building. I've called and complained only after being put on hold 20 times before I could even speak to someone and having to call from my cell phone only to be told "deal with it, it doesn't happen every night, and to remember that i'm not paying as much for my room," that's seriously how your employees talk to your customers?!! I was actually going to stay in this hotel this week after our leisure trip ended, but called my company and asked them to cancel after this horrid experience and will be staying with Marriott all next week with my company. But let's start from the top, despite being 5 miles from the airport there's no airport shuttle or any transportation, so enjoy paying $40 for an uber or lyft! I booked a queen room, was given a double room at check-in and when asked if I could at least be transferred into a queen room as the double beds are far too small for my husband was told "maybe on Sunday, but probably not because we could still sell those for more money than you paid," by the front desk associate. He offered me one morning of breakfast in exchange despite me having to stay 4 nights in a double room at almost $1000 (apparently my rate was "discounted" because I used a link provided by a friend to check all rates and selected a friends and family rate which I find hilarious if that's supposed to be some kind of discount as it was more expensive than any other hotel in town and if I had known I was using a friend's special rate would never have utilized it.) Breakfast wasn't actually comped by the way. I went to get a couple of diet cokes and was told by the night associate that I had to pay for them as I was over my provided diamond credit of $30. So either diet cokes are now $16 each or the front desk associate didn't bother to tell the night associate which created another disagreement and me just walking away. All I want now is to check out early, go somewhere that's actually nice for the money I paid, and get a decent night sleep. Oh and on that note good luck with sleeping the walls are so paper thin you'll hear EVERYTHING your neighbor does, and I do mean EVERYTHING. Do yourself a favor, save your money and go stay at a Marriott property.
