Very disappointed in this 'hotel'. Had booked for 2 nights costing us £319 for my family of 3. We checked out after 1 night and found another hotel 5 mins away that was a much higher standard The decor was like going back in time to.the 60's. Very shabby furniture, no door on wardrobe, loose electrical trunking on wall. Cracks in ceilings and what looked like woodchip wallpaper which I remember as a child some 40 odd years ago. A total revamp wouldn't go amiss to bring it up to modern standards. Will not be booking again with your website and will stick with *********** in future. Wasn't worth 1 star in my opinion.

Excellent located ! Just next to Russell Square Station! 5mins to British Museum....Saves me a lot of time and money going around Covent Garden, China Town, National Gallery! Toilet flush is a bit troubles! If a kettle is provided, I will give 5 star... Anyway I will stay this place again if I go London in Christmas.

Not like a hotel, like a B&B. There is no elevator. You have to carry your suitcases and walk up the stairs. It is not suitable for the elderly because they are afraid of falling.

Outstanding

Overall, it's good. We just arrived at 10 am. There was a front desk guy who opened the door for us and let us in (check-in is at 4 pm). Thank you very much. The hotel is affordable and convenient. It's next to a subway and a supermarket. It's about 500 meters away from the British Museum. It's worth recommending to friends.

The room is small and the old house does not have an elevator. If you carry a lot of luggage, I do not recommend this hotel. The advantage is that the location is very good, and it is very convenient for traveling, dining and shopping.

Ideal location with a tube station across the road, all basic facilities supplied in small rooms. We didn’t opt to have breakfast here as better value to be got in surrounding area. Can be noisy and rooms are very warm, but it’s clean and functional for short site seeing trips

This is THE WORST hotel I’ve ever stayed in….and I’ve spent the night in a hotel room where someone had been murdered recently. Awful staff who are unreachable, dated everything, WAY overpriced! The rooms have only a flimsy lock and no deadbolt. This place has to be a massive pile of code violations. Feels more like an hourly motel than a place for families. Would’ve given it ZERO circle la if that had been an option.

The hotel is not 5 star but its good to sleep in with good beds and extremely close to the tube station. The room was very clean and compact. With a good large sized TV. Some travelers have written that it's noisey. But we found it very quiet. If I had to complain its that they don't seem to have any way of communicating with the clients prior to arrival. Our emails remoaned unanswered and the phone number we had was never answered. On the whole a good 3 days and a good price.

Cramped room with creaky floorboards, a massive rip in the curtains and a wardrobe with hinges but no door! Was more like a hostel than a hotel. Was OK considering the price paid but definitely nothing special.

I know this was a relatively cheap hotel and I was not expecting the world. However, when I pay extra for room with a private bathroom, I expect a fully functioning bathroom. First, my bathroom had no toilet. The toilet was 2 flights of stairs down. Second, my bathroom had no hot water. There was a shower and a tub. I ran the hot water in both for 10 minutes. After 2 minutes the hot water was barely (maybe 5 degrees) hotter than the cold water. After 8 minutes, it was still the same. What a cold shower.

This place was absolutely dreadful. I have stayed in better backpackers hostels when I was travelling in my 20's. The beds were old and uncomfortable. The room was tiny, the bathroom was dated dirty and very, very small. There was no hot water in the morning and when I spoke to the woman on duty she laughed and said the night porter had turned it off. I said it was not funny! The floor was sticky- yuk!!! and the entire place need a complete renovation. I couldn't get out of there quick enough. we cut short out stay as I didn't want to spend another second in this dreadful place! Avoid, avoid, avoid !!!

Start with the positive. The bed was very comfortable. Less positive. Very very shabby and run down needs a thorough renovation. No lift which could be a problem if youre not too mobile, shower wouldnt get warm in the evening but by morning was ok. There is no receptn although someone could be summoned by ringing a bell. My room was not clean and there was a dirty tissue by the toilet. The shower and toilet looked like they were throwbacks from the 1970's. No food or drink available and was advised to go to Tesco which is open for 24 hours. It was the only room that I could find in central London, it wasnt particularly inexpensive even by London standards and I definitely wouldnt stay there again.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. An additional £309 taken and cannot get a refund. That’s before I start on the actual hotel which is overpriced , outdated, smelly and doesn’t have even tea and coffee making facilities. The furniture, bathrooms , carpet and bedding haven’t been touched since the 70’S and it shows in the cleanliness of the place. The only good thing is the location but at £400 I ended up paying for 1 night it’s definitely not worth it. The owners / staff ignore you and it’s noisy all night long with people coming and going. Disaster of a place

No receptionist or restaurant, tiny rooms nothing like photos and not updated for at least 20 years. Clean though and right next to tube. Overpriced for what it is, more like converted house. Area is good.
