The garden outside was small and intimate. Very bright room with a bathtub. The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. Cleaning ladies were lovely and the hotel office staff were very helpful.

This place is really good for the price! The room was large and clean, communication was very clear with the front desk staff, they were friendly and attentive, helped me solve a problem I had. Minor downsides are that there's no elevator and you have to carry your stuff up, and there's no one at the front desk late at night and most areas are closed during that time. If you need anything at that time, you have to call them.

The top floor is well designed and I am particularly satisfied with it. Picture 1 is the sofa bed in the living room. Picture 2 is the kitchen. There are also two double rooms. It is very suitable for a family homestay. It is just over a kilometer away from the seaside square. Picture 3 is the train station to Sintra. It is also on the way to the beach. It is very convenient.

Highly recommended. Good value for money. The room is clean and decorated a lot. I like this style very much. Very good value for money. The only drawback is that the sound insulation is not good and there is no view outside the window. There are many supermarkets and restaurants nearby and transportation is convenient

Everything about the location and service is very good, but there is a problem with the sound insulation of the room. At night, there will be loud sounds coming from the room upstairs, and the sounds outside the window will also be noisy at night.

The room is relatively large, close to the road side and slightly noisy Go out and take the stairs to the front desk. The sanitation is relatively clean, it has its own small garden, and the environment is quiet, where you can sit and take a nap.

The location of the hotel can also have a lot of Chinese food downstairs. But going out at night feels uncomfortable and safe may also be a psychological effect. Hotel facilities are OK, but not very soundproof.

Very comfortable hotel, feel at home. The most convenient is that you can add WhatsApp, you can ask any questions at any time, and you can answer any questions. I will stay in this hotel again when I come back. The most convenient is that there is a communal kitchen where you can cook by yourself.

The hotel is a little out of the central area but it’s easy to get to the heart of Lisbon via the metro which is 100m from the hotel. The rooms are small and well kept however the bed itself was hard and uncomfortable. The a/c is mounted above the door to the room and the small passageway prevents the air from cooling the room down. It really needs to be moved to a more central location. The other issue was that we could feel the metro passing under the hotel and it shook the pictures on the wall and disturbed our sleep

We were given an apartment on the top floor, and it was very nice and roomy, with a useful kitchen. Everything worked great - showers, wifi, AC, etc, we didn't have any issues at all. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. No elevator though, so it was 86-steps up to our room at the end of every long day, but we didn't mind. The location was good for us - midway between two metro stations, walking distance to the waterfront, and plenty of shops and restaurants in the area.

Stayed for four nights in late October with my mum, the Guesthouse is a great little find with lots of positives, but first the minor downsides... No lift and 7 flights of stairs to the third floor! Be prepared, it is knackering, but good exercise, they'll always help you with bags etc. The Guesthouse is on a busy street, but the windows are very well soundproofed. The metro runs under the hotel/very nearby but only operates 6.30am-1am, you hear a slight gentle rumble, but then it's gone, frequency is at most 10mins, never stopped me from sleeping, but maybe bring earplugs? The Guesthouse is in a less than afluent area of town the road and square at the bottom called Martim Moniz are known as the international part of town, a melting pot of all cultures, ethnicities etc. This has upsides too like very reasonable food prices, fresh food markets for a huge range of international fruits/veg etc, but.... There is also a significant homeless population on this street, a problem in any major city or town, but some cafes and restuarants are hot-spots for homeless to congregate, and drink etc. Just be aware, this street is reflected in the price of the rooms, we paid just under €100 a night for a room that was large and could have slept three. The positives.. Where to start??? Staff-sooo friendly, helpful and kind, Joanna spotted at check in it was my mums birthday the next day, on that day we arrived to a bottle of sparkling wine and 2 pastel de nata, and a lovely note! So kind! The room, was clean, large, well equipped, comfy beds, white linen and towels, just great, there are tea/coffee making facilities, a safe and mini bar. Shower was incredibly powerful, but the fan in the bathroom was very noisy, also we missed not having a small shaving/makeup mirror. The room had aircon too, we had a street view across to the derlicked old beer factory, a great town view. The Guesthouse has a small kitchen, and a lovely peaceful garden, this truly is a gem of a place, wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Hopefully we'll be back one day.

We stayed in Vila Garden from 17th-22nd March! We were in room 103 and my parents in room 104,both rooms were absolutely spotless, with comfortable beds,tv,kettle, mini bar, lovely soft towels, fabulous shower, well, everything really to make for a fabulous stay! The staff were lovely,it was my husbands birthday whilst we were there and we returned from our day of sightseeing to find a bottle of champagne in our room, such a lovely touch! It’s a little out of the city but the metro is nearby and very easy to use! €6.60 gets you a 24hr ticket to use in the tram, metro and buses,a different ticket gets you to Sintra for €5.10! Amazing value to travel around! There’s no lift in the guesthouse so if stairs are a problem ask for a room on the 1st floor before you arrive. Lovely cafe next door for breakfast etc.Lisbon is truly amazing and we’d definitely return and visit the sights we didn’t get chance to see! Thank you Vila Garden!
