Hotel du Moulin

I hate negative reviews but I was left with little option here :( the waitress (and part owner I believe) was probably the rudest waitress I have met, not something I expected from Belgians. We had been travelling for 2 weeks around this region and was our only bad experience. We felt unwelcome, probably down to her refusing to order us a main course And then asking us to leave. My mum and dad are elderly and spent 5 hours in a car so we were hoping to get them some food before bed but she refused on the basis the chef (part owner too possibly) said he wouldn’t only cook a main dish from a 3 course meal. So without asking she said he wouldn’t do it, canceled the mean and asked us to leave the restaurant. I was stunned at her snatching the menu and generally being incredibly impolite. The following morning you could see she was embarrassed but instead just tried to avoid us, some accountability and acknowledgment would have help but I would have been ashamed to.

This is hotel with very well kept rooms. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spotless. We stayed for dinner to and you get a set menu but you can choose between 3 dishes for you starter and main. The dishes were very well cooked and they used quality ingredients. The dining room is luxurious. The waiter was born to do his job. Really enjoyed the breakfast too.
