The location is good with close proximity to the highway, food, & a ”Starbucks”. The hotel is clean with the typical amenities. The staff is friendly and the price was reasonable. The room was a good size with a small but well-stocked kitchen. The bed was fairly comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was much better than in most hotels. There is a FREE breakfast. We were assigned room 214 which was next to the elevators. We asked to be moved due to the very loud noise from the elevators when in operation but the hotel was full. If you are a light sleeper, stay away from rooms 212, 213, 214, & 215 and their equivalent rooms on other floors. Overall, nice hotel.
Located in Lexington’s Historic District, this boutique hotel features a fitness centre and an on-site restaurant. Offering free WiFi access, the hotel is 10 minutes’ walk from the Mary Todd Lincoln House.
We believe fun is beautiful. And good for you. We’ve curated a new kind of hotel to inspire your adventure, your well-being, and help you feel part of our Kentucky community. Elwood is more than a landing place, it’s a tribute to a contemporary southern lifestyle.

We stayed here for three days this week. The location is really hard to get to as you have to drive thru a fancy hotel's parking lot to get down to it. It is very dirty looking from the outside. When I entered I asked to see the room prior to checking in and I was told they had taken out the bushes and the shutters to start painting outside. When I inspected the room, it was one of the newer remodeled rooms but you could still tell it was old as there were still holes in the walls where paint had chipped and they just pained over the top of it. The lighting in the parking lot was very minimal so not a place I wanted to be after dark. They were big rooms. The TVs were smaller and the beds were just OK, since it was a newer room the mattresses were quite firm. The shower worked great and we didn't see any bugs while we were there. The breakfast was the worst and we ended up skipping the breakfast as there was no waffle maker and the coffee I had tasted like dirt. There is a Dunkin Donout two blocks down!!! Once when going down to the lobby, the elevator stopped on third floor and the workers doing the remodeling had beer in their hands and a case of beer. The ice machine was broken. They did clean the room pretty well each day but due to the condition of the rest of the hotel and the breakfast I would not recommend it and I won't stay there again.

Easily one of the best hotel experiences I've had. I had to book the hotel in a pinch when the other hotel I booked through trip.com did not have electricity when I showed up for my stay. The staff and accommodations are excellent. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Rooms were very comfortable. I would definitely book again.

The hotel is located above a path and very quiet. The hotel is in the kind of trendy style, almost no wood, the room is very compact, the heating and hot water are sufficient, and overall it feels very warm.
Breakfast is very good, freshly ground coffee tastes great, service is not bad.

GGuest UserStayed one night. Arrived late and left early. Easy digital key, clean rooms, great ac, beds and pillows ok, close to many Lexington areas including airport, campus, Rupp and downtown. Breakfast was ready at 6am as stated. Only suggestion would be have news or weather on tv in the mornings in breakfast area instead of Hallmark movies.
BBunny Lovely modern hotel. Clean and best of all pet friendly. Close to the center of down town Lexington and close to the airport and horse park.
Our room had a great view of an historic horse barn. If you love horses it would definitely be a treat to see that view.
There was no shampoo in the rooms and one member of staff was openly rude about a customer they were dealing with on the phone. Unprofessional from this particular staff member, but all other members of staff were polite and profession in manner.
Over all, a lovely stay, and would be happy to stay again.
JJoeMy wife loved the room and how spacious it was. Very clean and everyone was friendly. Thankful that this was available especially with Breyerfest going on at the horse park!
GGuest UserWe have stayed in TownePlace Suites in various locations a number of times in the past and always liked the sizeable suite-type rooms. Walking into our room in this TownePlace Suites we thought we may have accidentally walked into a MicroTel hotel. Our studio suite was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in during my life. The lesson to learn is that in stays at a TownePlace Suites, it is important to pay close attention to the type of room you're booking and not just assume that because it's a suite hotel or because you're booking a King room that it will be a reasonable size. Other than the room size, the hotel was ok--good location near many restaurants, a bike path, and only 10-15 minutes from downtown Lexington.
GGuest UserBook with caution. It was great for what we needed & the in-room kitchenette was nice, but 2/3 stays they charged mystery charges that I had to question. They ended up reversing the charges. The last time, the $10 incidentals hold stayed on my card for 4 weeks. I don't believe the hassle is worth the low room rate. For a hotel that's only a year old, I had to inform the front desk on 1 stay that coat hook was defective & the toilet wobbled when you sat down (uneven tile floor should have had shimmed toilet). There is very little sound proofing & the 2nd stay it sounded like elephants overhead with children's voices until midnight (despite contacting the front desk). I won't be back.
CCrysta PearsonAbsolutely loved this hotel!!! Not sure why it has such a low star. Very clean. Very professional environment. I had the deluxe king suite and it was very nice. Comfortable bed. Only 2 things was I expected it to have a jacuzzi being the king suite and the shower (no tub) was a joke. It had no water pressure like barley even a dribble. Worst shower I have ever used.
GGuest UserThis is a clean pet friendly hotel close to the highway. Our room was spacious and very clean. The staff we met, Joyce and Kim were so friendly and sweet. They truly made you feel welcome and at home. We will definitely stay there again if we pass through Lexington. Thank you everyone for giving us such a nice experience.
VV4126ZRjeromesFriendly staff. Clean room! If i needed anything i called the front desk a d they brought it to my room. Staff had ob mask and felt safe in my room and good channel selection. So glad i came here will be returning for sure. Thank u
MmelmulderI was hoping all of the negative reviews on this hotel were a thing of the past, and I'm happy to report that for the most part, they are! This is certainly an older hotel, but it has been recently renovated with new vinyl flooring and more modern furniture. The rooms are narrow, but at least mine was clean, so the tiny desk table and low vanity didn't bother me. Renovations were not exactly top notch, but at least it was an effort to modernize the place. Front desk staff was friendly. One thing I really appreciated is that they actually had a grab and go breakfast - juice, coffee, honey buns, apples, and granola bars! It tasted amazing compared to the nicer (and more expensive) hotels who choose to do nothing and chalk it up to the covid craziness.
