Baumaniere is a very beautiful resort. In fact, my family had stayed there in 1975, so we were very excited to return (and took over 8 rooms at the older part of the hotel). My 33 year old son ended up getting food poisoning (not from the two restaurants at Baumaniere, but from a local bistro), and had to stay in bed for a day and a half. I tried to order broth for him (chicken soup, or any kind of suitable broth), and 3 times called reception to no avail. Excuses were that the restaurants were closed, or that it was not possible, or no one returned our calls. We were sufficiently alarmed about my son's health to inquire at reception about seeing a doctor, and again, we were rebuffed and told that physicians were not permitted on the premises. We were also told that ginger ale or something comparable was not available as well. Frankly, we were shocked by the staff's unkind, unhelpful, and insensitive responses. In short, Baumaniere is not a place to stay if G-d forbid, you become ill.

My partner and I had a lovely relaxing time at the pretty Baumaniere hotel this last week but possibly in spite of the hotel staff and not because sadly. First of all the good - we had a pretty room (junior suite) with very comfortable mattress, good shower and bathroom space. We took our room service breakfast tray out to sit at one of the tables in the gardens around our bit of the complex (le manoir) each morning amidst the scent of roses and the sound of morning birdsong. It all felt peaceful and restful. Our dinner at the Oustau restaurant (3 Michelin stars) was spectacular. The less good - for a 5 star hotel, sadly the Baumaniere felt a little scruffy round the edges. Our arrival at reception felt unremarkable and the woman behind the desk, though lovely, struggled with her English. On the first night we came back to our room after dinner to find a couple of random towels thrown on our sofa, clearly left behind by a member of staff in a rush. The largest pool felt a bit scruffy - perfectly nice but lacking the elegance and style you’d expect from a 5 star experience. At the Cabro d’Or restaurant, the staff seemed completely clueless, taking an age to deliver a menu again, with poor English, struggling to present the menu or food in any meaningful way. The wine waiter seemed particularly incompetent, not understanding when we asked if the set menu came with a wine pairing. The food itself felt over-fussy and overpriced, and frustrating for that. Finally a small thing but something that impacted my impression of the hotel and its attention to detail - the English language translations of all the hotel promotional material were consistently terrible. The English translated menu at the Cabro d’Or was practically incomprehensible, a real shame for the chef and team who had put so much trouble into its creation. The beautifully produced brochure about the hotel was equally full of bad translation. I work in marketing myself - it doesn’t take much to hire a copywriter just to smooth out any clunky translations. For a five star hotel, these things matter and when they’re not managed, your overall impression is one of a lack of attention to detail.

Such an incredible experience here. Wonderful wonderful staff. Really nice rooms at either location. The 3* Michelin restaurant is beyond words. We tried the vegetarian dinner option the second night and it was delicious we preferred it to the other menus. The home made chocolate is very very good !

We loved this place! Such a quiet, classy, comfortable property. We only stayed 1 night but wished we'd stayed much longer. I guess we need to return! The property is spread out so you rarely saw other guests....which we liked. We were surprised an upgraded room, which we appreciated! The room/suite was amazing! Super comfortable bed, spotless bathroom, giant closet, and private deck. The big property was fun to explore and take the best pictures. All staff was encountered were welcoming, even though we struggled with our French language. The hotel shuttle was very convenient running us to the Village and the Light Show. Highly recommend this place. Well worth every Euro we spent!

Baumaniere Les Baux-de-Provence is like an enchanted kingdom. The grounds are spectacularly beautiful and demand exploration. The silversmith workshop seems out of a fairy tale. The staff are kind, courteous and efficient. We had one of the two best dinners of our life at Oustau.

The hotel was great. The staff was very kind and helpful. The restaurant La Cabro d‘Or was excellent with very tasteful food, good wines and great service. We enjoyed our stay at Baumaniere very much.

We stayed her three nights in October at both locations. The staff are so accommodating and welcoming no request was too much. Nice clean spacious rooms. All amenities provided. Such a quiet location you only hear birds singing. Breakfasts are delightful . Walking or private shuttle distance to town and les carrières des lumières . The hotel store has amazing products !

Not sure I can add much to what's been said about the stunning location and grounds. It's a special place to recharge one's batteries. Incredibly peaceful. My wife and I spent 5 nights here in May so not all the amenities were fully open (i.e. the pool bar/restaurant). We had a very nice King/Terrace ground floor room and loved it. The resort location is great with it's proximity to towns such as Fontvielle, Saint Remy and of course the village of Les Baux. Also close to Arles and Avignon. We found the service to be helpful and friendly. Upon request a shuttle service is available to the village and surrounding area. While we didn't eat at the two restaurants (L'Oustau de Baumaniere or La Cabro D'Or), we did have breakfast delivered to our terrace and room service (when the restaurant was booked). The food was excellent. I would also suggest trying/buying the chocolates from the onsite Chocolate Factory. They are wonderful. The only comment I'd make regarding food is that (and maybe it was because of the time of year) the options other than the onsite restaurants, were limited. There are many restaurants in the village but they all closed by 7pm. That left room service or going further offsite to some of the towns in the area. We did take the front desk advise to go to another hotel restaurant near by ( Le Mas D'Aigret) and it was very good. Overall this is a beautiful resort that offers as much or as little as you like.
