I recently completed a three-night stay at this Hampton Inn. The Hilton chain is my go-to because I usually know exactly what to expect. Check in was smooth. I was assigned the room I had selected, a King Studio Suite on the north side of the 4th floor. A previous stay taught me that the south side has a lot of traffic noise. My room’s temperature was noticeably warmer than the hall temperature. I mentioned this to the desk clerk who assured me I just needed to adjust the thermostat. Several hours later, the temp hadn’t budged, and I had to change rooms. To get a room on the quiet side of the hotel, I was downgraded to a regular room with two queen beds. This room smelled of old carpet and wet dog, but the AC worked. The bed was comfortable. I made the mistake of glancing behind the nightstand while untangling the phone cord and saw the litter and coating of dirt. Thick dust was present on the air return in the bathroom. A fair amount of mold/mildew was also visible on the bath walls. There is no daily housekeeping, which is OK. They should leave an extra box of tissues, a couple of garbage bags and enough coffee for the entire stay. The hotel is short staffed. The desk clerk was tripling as manager and maintenance person. The breakfast host was very friendly & attentive. The parking lot is not well lit. Trees are overgrown and hang down over the parking spaces. There is a spray of broken glass on the asphalt in one area – never a good sign. I was traveling for business, and I cannot recommend this hotel. I will not stay here again. There is dire need of a deep cleaning. The remodeling mentioned in some previous reviews is nowhere to be found.

Arriving at this hotel, there is a very grand and luxurious feel to the hotel from the outside. There is ample parking right by the reception area. Walking into the hotel, through the grand entrance doors into the lobby is impressive. Check in was friendly and easy and we proceeded to our ground floor Two Queen room. The room was very large, with a desk, fridge, wardrobe and a very large, recently renovated, modern and impressive marble bathroom. This was one of our favourite rooms of our 2 week road trip. The only downside was that the Two Queen beds were certainly on the smaller side, meaning they were too small for 2 people to share – so we ended up having to sleep in separate beds. We did ask the Front Desk but were told there were no Kings available (which was odd as Expedia was showing some available to book for that day?). The hotel has an onsite Steakhouse which we didn’t try, a bar which seemed to always be closed and an outdoor poolside bar and restaurant which looked very nice, but again sadly we did not get chance to try. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the pool area over looks a stunning lake. For the size of the hotel grounds, the pool is relatively small, but there is a good sized jacuzzi which we spent a lot of time in. Sadly the hotel still employs a rather outdated system, where you must visit the front desk to sign out and sign back in pool towels, this is pretty crazy and often causes a delay and frustration when simply wanting to go the pool – please change this! Overall, this is a very grand and impressive hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and HIGHLY recommend, we thought this hotel was incredible value for money.

This week was awful between the staff the room and all the problems. We ended up getting sick due to the room and it wasn't a pleasant week. The check in lady had a few small problems but figured it out, We then go to the room and it stinks but I was in a rush to get to work, When I get home from work I see the A/C unit is just so built up with dust and the room was hot so I turned it down to 66 and it still wasn't as cold as it should have been, The stiffness of the room made it difficult to get a good night sleep. Then Thursday after a long day we get a rude call from the front desk telling us to check out and leave, We tried to inform her we had the room unit Friday but she didn't even care to help us figure out what happened. She just said we are over booked you need to leave. When I got Home My key didn't work for the room so I went down to the desk and talked to the three ladies behind the desk and they were very unhelpfully they said the mistake was made on my end even though I Showed all of the the paper from the hotel that stated my check out date on Friday, The manager finally came out his office after I asked twice and I showed him he looked into it and then ask the lady behind the desk what happened here and she said I don't know I thought those dates changed some how so he Said okay you're here till tomorrow no apology and could have all been avoided if the lady who checked me in did her job right and put the right dates

The staff here was the best thing this hotel has going for it. That is really the only positive thing I have to say about my stay there. The shuttle doesn’t start running until 10:30 am. When I arrived around 11, they didn’t have a room so I went to the pool to sit and wait. The pool area was fine, but the furniture is pretty beat up. I went back inside after a while and heard person after person checking out complaining about dirty rooms, smells, and loud noise at night. It became clear that this is not just an airport hotel, but also a low rent living situation for a few people. The front desk staff eventually got a room cleaned for me so I could check in early. My room was definitely not what I expected based on the photos. Paint was chipped, the shower was not clean and had mildew all around the seams. The room smelled musty. The pillows were the size of throw pillows you’d put on your sofa. Very bizarre. I realize that it’s cheap and it’s near the airport so one can’t expect a first-class experience and I don’t go into it with those expectations. However, I wouldn’t stay there again.

The personnel at the front desk are amazing. Tiffany and both managers named Heather are professional, accommodating and have great customer service skills. The hotel and my room were both clean and had no issues. Between the staff and most guest you actually feel like you are home with a caring family! Will stay here anytime I return to the area.
