Outstanding
GGuest UserStayed here for 2 nights while in Lusaka. The location is in the center, it is very convenient to go to Levy Mall, banks, government offices, etc. Great lobby and restaurant (tried the lamb stew). The rooms are on the small side and could use a little more decor, but overall ok. The hallway carpets were stained and needed replacing. The staff were very friendly and helpful in getting around Lusaka.

AAnonymous UserThe service is in place, the staff are friendly and friendly, but there are mosquitoes in some rooms, and the hot water supply is insufficient. The bathtub is half filled with water and there is basically no hot water. The air conditioner is noisy. The breakfast is good

Fred and Eugene are the most professional doormen I have seen. They readily met my every need and assisted me before I could ask. The desk staff is equally helpful; Chipo, Precious, and Abigail are all equal parts patient, helpful, and professional. They worked diligently to solve various problems outside of their control to ensure the best stay for guests

TTravelfreeVery good hotel, located fairly centrally in lusaka about 20 minutes from the airport. It's safe, the staff are exceptionally friendly, the breakfast was great and the restaurant/bar was also fantastic. There's a pool downstairs in the bar area which is perfect for lounging around and enjoying the Zambian skies. Would definitely stay again!

GGuest UserI had an incredible stay at the Southern Sun Ridgeway Hotel, thanks to the outstanding service from the team! Flyness, the receptionist, was a star! She made my booking and check-in process seamless and efficient. Her warm welcome and prompt service set the tone for a fantastic stay. Special mentions to Nalwendo, the porter, who greeted me with a smile and showed me to my room with ease. Innocent from security was also very friendly and ensured my safety throughout my stay. The hotel's staff truly go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and memorable experience. I highly recommend Southern Sun Ridgeway Hotel to anyone looking for exceptional service and a wonderful stay. Thank you, Flyness, Nalwendo, Innocent, and the entire team, for making my stay unforgettable!

GGuest UserThe Taj as usual didn't disappoint. It's a great venue with all the facilities that you could want. Great value when compared to other venues that don't have the range of facilities and service that you get there. Definitely top of the list when in Lusaka!

I went to the Ciêla Resort And Spa in Lusaka during a 9-hour layover on September 20, 2024. I thought it would be a nice place to kill time by getting a spa treatment and grabbing a good meal before a red eye flight. The resort was beautiful, the spa treatment was nice and the meal at The Brewery was much nicer than any options at the airport or on an airplane. That said, I was very disappointed to discover I had been charged twice for the spa treatment at the onsite spa and twice for my meal at The Brewery Restaurant. At the spa, I was told my credit card didn't go through the first time and asked to try again. At The Brewery restaurant, I was shown the credit card machine that said failed, however since I was connected to the wifi there, I received a text saying my credit card had been charged. I said as much to the service person who went to get the manager. The manager said it failed, possibly due to the power issues, and that the charge would be reversed because it failed. I was asked to try again so I used a different credit card. I noticed on my layover in Dubai that I was sent two text messages about my credit card being charged at the spa at the Ciêla Resort. Once I got home, I checked my online statement and saw the duplicate charge at the Spa. I tried calling the spa but couldn't reach anyone. The person at the front desk said I had to speak to someone at the spa. Being tired from my travels home and feeling the jet lag, I gave up at that time. I looked for an email address or another way to reach someone to no avail. I was left to hope the Ciêla Resort would notice the error and correct it on their own. As I was checking my credit card statements today to pay my bills, I found I was indeed charged twice at both places I went within the Ciêla Resort And Spa. With no way to contact or speak to anyone at the hotel, I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. Beware of being told your credit card didn't work and being asked to try again, don't use a debit card to pay for anything at the resort and check your credit card statement closely when you get home. What I thought was a good idea and a place to go to kill time during a long layover has become a headache. Something is shady about this facility and I won't return to this resort on my next trip to Zambia. Thankfully, this is the only bad thing I can say about my 2.5 week trip to Zambia.

SScenic56827140249The newly opened (2023) Cargo88 Hotel is an 88-room hotel constructed from cargo containers. It's a 2-minute walk from Eastpark Mall where you can find stores, a big supermarket, money exchange shops, and many restaurants (try Fat Chef). The hotel is an easy walk to the Sunday Craft Market. A taxi to the airport will be around 250 ZMW (around USD 10) by Yango. An Indian firm designed the big, modern, and chic lobby. There is plenty of seating. Check-in was fast and efficient, and a welcome drink was provided. The standard room is comfortable but tiny. it has all the amenities you'd expect from a safe, slippers, and individual toiletries. The bathroom is tiny, with good hot water, and a rain shower, and the monogrammed fluffy towels were a nice touch. The bed was comfortable with outlets near the bed and free, fast, and reliable internet. The standard room is good for one person. The more expensive deluxe room is bigger and more suitable for a couple. There is a spa but no pool. The outdoor area is a good place to have a drink or see the sunset. The service is efficient, friendly, and top-notch. The buffet breakfast is served from 6:30 to 10. It has a limited selection of pastries, hot entrees, and fruit. Omelets are available on request. You should get there early because the buffet isn't replenished. Serving instant coffee was a total surprise for this caliber of hotel. There is an upcharge if you don't want instant coffee. Breakfast was a big disappointment in terms of variety and quality. Cargo88 is a unique modern, trendy hotel in a prime safe neighborhood, close to a mall. Even though the rooms are small (opt for a Deluxe Room), they are comfortable, and the service and staff are great. This hotel would be perfect for those who want to experience this unique hotel and are willing to pay a premium for it.

LLShero93Weird weird weird, that's how I'd describe my stay at Mika- Apparently they don't take bookings from Trip but are still on the app and have a number of reviews from people! They eventually accepted the booking and let us stay - The place resembled something from The Shining - EMPTY, quiet and eerie ! Location is good because it's near to the airport but don't stay here for any longer than needs be ! Also DO NOT book the airport transfer it is extortion ! Rather download ULENDO the app and book a taxi in advance with them! Mika were charging 300 PP - We got the taxi for 115 in total! Bed was comfortable, room was relatively clean but very meh overall - Pictured is the absolutely packed restaurant 🤭
