GGuest UserWe loved this place. Friendly and helpful staff. The Top Bar and restaurant were both incredible and had great drink options. The rooms are smaller (think Europe) but get over that quick and you are central in the Theater District! We absolutely loved the place! Super charming and clean!! I imagine this was once an apartment building or hostel but now they turned it chic and cool. We will definitely return!! Thanks Moxy.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a very good location, connected to the shopping mall, making it convenient for shopping. Downstairs is the Public Library. There is no buffet breakfast in the hotel. If you want to eat, you need to order a la carte. The Destination Fee of $30 per day can be used for breakfast. It is not enough for two people.
GGuest UserIt was a quick trip, I didn't get checked in until 3am and left out @9 am. The room was very clean. I was able to grab a quick bagel thanks to the free breakfast buffet. My car was waiting for me and my bag was place in my car by the attendant. Once I was home checking my emails I realized my stay was prorated and I was not charged a full day. I really appreciate them for noticing and applying the credit. I will be choosing Embassy Suites for future trips to Boston.
TThanhThis is the second room type we stayed in and actually we prefer this to the one bedroom suite. We had a corner room which was very large, with a nice large bathroom and automatic blinds. Overall very comfortable stay. Highly recommend.
GGuest UserThe hotel is strategically located and conveniently located near the bay. The surrounding environment is good. The hotel is a bit old and the facilities are relatively old but complete. It is clean and tidy. The executive lounge provides breakfast and happy hour drinks in the evening. There was a misunderstanding when checking in. The hotel sent a Chinese-speaking manager to actively communicate with us, and it was resolved with the timely intervention of Ctrip. Although there were problems, we still saw the full sincerity of the hotel and Ctrip.
CCollie WifeI’ve been attending an event at this location for the last 3 years and this was by far the worst one yet. The rooms are SMALL… a suite is the size of an average hotel room. The queens were hardly enough for a couple. Their run rooms are literal closets. It is very clean, staff was great about replenishing towels and providing extra within a reasonable time. However, I was a little taken back when management refused to accommodate the event and often shoved us out of the way to prioritize 2-3 pilots coming in from the local airport. We are a 2,500+ person event and staff seemed to go out of their way to make things extra difficult. Elevator lines were ridiculous and when we tried to use the stairs, one of the managers lied and said they didn’t have any. Luckily we found them ourselves and just proceeded to use them as necessary. I was taken back by the bell hops who literally shoved their hand in your face demanding money before you could even take your bags off the cart… certainly made me not want to tip them at all especially after watching them man handle our luggage and throw it around. When it was time to leave, one member openly groaned in annoyance when we had requested our bags be taken to valet. Nobody wanted to do their job without extra money being tossed at them. Finally we got our luggage to valet and before I could even get my wallet out one member scoffed in disgust and tossed the cart at us… certainly not going to tip after that tantrum. 3 years ago this was my favorite location but you can actively see the decline in service and respect toward patrons. The location is ok at best. It’s in walking distance to great restaurants and such, however it’s impossible to park and unload on the main busy street. I’m glad we have a new hotel for next year…
GGuest UserAlso stayed at this hotel chain in New york, Everything feels the same. Very old building with aging furnitures, floors and walls. No complimentary bottle of water in the room (this seems to be the standard, they want you to purchase it from the so called mart)
For the price, i cant complaint much. But they should not label it as 4 stars hotel as it should have been a 3 star instead.
AAnonymous UserIt's connected to the mall, so can do everything without going outside. The facilities are a bit old, but room is spacious and the windows don't open. I highly praise Mr. Augustin(?) at the front desk. I'll never forget him kindly finding me a beer opener.
I will definitely go again because of him:)
MMatthew PapinoThe hotel room's thermostat was set at 68 degrees F when we entered but we found it to be quite warm, so we turned the thermostat down to 65 degrees, then further to 62 degrees because the room was still quite stifling. Around 2:00 a.m., uncomfortable and sweating while trying to sleep, we called the front desk and told them that we had lowered the thermostat to 60 degrees F but that the heat was just as warm as when we first entered the room (there was no way to measure it but I'm guessing it was close to 80 degrees). The front desk told us that the thermostat only controls the heat; that is, lowering the temperature will not actually cool the room or turn the heat off. They told us that the only way to stop the heat was to turn it OFF. We were also advised to open a window, which we did; but the noise from the city outside did not help us get a good night's sleep at all, and the room took a while to cool down enough to be able to sleep comfortably. This one issue---the extremely warm and uncomfortable room---is enough to make us not return to this hotel in the future.
AAJ PaulineThe hotel was clean and self service- just wish there were more options for room service/ vending machines, we ran out of water and had to run to Trader Joe’s across the street to buy bottles of water.
