We made a last-minute decision to escape the Portland drizzle and spend the weekend in Bend. We chose the Oxford Hotel as it is in the perfect location to explore the boutiques and restaurants downtown, Old Bend, and the Deschutes river walking trail. We were completely satisfied with all aspects of the Oxford. While it is one of the more expensive options for staying in Bend, the cleanliness, service, and location make it absolutely worth the price.

We stayed here while passing through the area on a road trip through the Pacific North West. Bend is a nice town and this was a great place to stay. It’s on the southern side of Bend and is only 10 minutes from Lava Lands Visitor Center. Hotel room was big and very clean. Would stay here again.

My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. The night started out well while we enjoyed the complimentary wine and river views. Then the air quality became hazardous overnight as wildfire smoke rolled into the area. My husband woke up having great difficulty breathing. There was an A/C unit in the room letting in a bit of the outside air where the hose connected with the window part of the unit. And when the central air system would turn on, it smelled even smokier. With my husband gasping for breath, I called the front desk to see if they had an air purifier or at least a way to tape over the area where air was coming in through the A/C unit. No response - you cannot get help here after hours. We evacuated. Wildfires are an annual occurrence in Central Oregon - hotels need to adapt and make sure they provide properly filtered central air or air purifiers in the room. I'm very disappointed that staying here for our anniversary harmed my husband's health, and there was no one we could reach after hours for help.

Excellent
I would like to thank the staff at this hotel! Traveling from NY to Redmond was challenging to say the least. Checked in at 12:30 pm when we were supposed to arrive at 1 in afternoon. Thank you American Airlines for poor service. Front desk Manager was wonderful as our luggage never made it. She provided us with toiltries to get us through the morning. This was our second stay here. Clean, bright and courteous. Relax hour at 4 i believe with complintary wine and craft beer with cheese, bread, olives. Board games scattered about. Please throw some dollars in the gratuity cup! Breakfast is provided with a different hot course daily along with continental accompaniments. Coffee rotated constantly throughout the day. There was also 3 tea selections in the evenings with unique fresh blends.

Clean room / great breakfast / friendly & helpful staff I researched lodging for quite a while before we went to Bend, and this BW fit the area we wanted to stay. They provide a breakfast of eggs, omelets, pancakes, juices, and so much more. No reason to have breakfast out at extra cost!

Very Good
We spent 2 days. The room as clean and comfortable. They only change linens every 3 days by default. I don't know if that's a covid policy for now or usual. However, we asked for clean towels the 2nd day and got them immediately. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Provided breakfast was minimal but good on the first day and some hot items were provided. The 2nd day had no hot items and very little of everything else. We actually ended up getting something down the street. As for Covid protocols. As I said the room was very clean. I did not see the staff remind anyone in the lobby to mask, and I saw quite a few came through not wearing one over the 2 days. I know this is not uncommon for most businesses as some non-maskers become angry and unpleasant of asked. However, Covid is serious and every business that doesn't insist on the rules being followed makes it harder for every other business that tries to. It also makes ones stay less pleasant as you have to dodge folks, pick when you go to the front desk, etc. I'm quite aware that this a difficult thing to do, but seeing one front desk person remind an unmasked guest would have upped my opinion and review.

PPunpongsanonThe hotel is located near the department store and around 22 km from RDM. I stayed here for four nights during the conference in Bend. The room was fine, and the breakfast was OK for me (not that much food, but that totally fine for me). The cleanliness of the room is acceptable, but since this is a pet-friendly hotel, you might be expected some animals further on your clothes if you sit on the floor or sofa (the bed is clean because they usually clean it up). The hotel does not provide the cleaning service unless you ask them to do so one night before in advance (as they use the sub-contract, IMHO). Well, if you are not expecting that much (this is not a luxury hotel), and just stay as a part of work (e.g., business travel), this might be a good choice, compared with the cost performance. Tip: better to have an upper floor (second floor). The floor is a little bit thin, and you might hear the sound of someone walking with shoes above your room (as I stayed on the first floor). Also, the second floor seems better for security reasons as someone might walk pass your room on day and night (especially at night) but I did not find any unsafe situation during the stay.

GGunterThe hotel was fine enough. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The services were lacking - no continental breakfast even though it was listed on the welcome sheet and the in room tv had very limited channels and poor quality. Would’ve liked to have had dish or satellite to watch more and better quality tv. The room was large but not clean. Big pile of dirt on the carpet that was obvious. It was an okay stay overall.
