Excellent
GGuest UserThe staff were professional and friendly here. We booked a standard with a king-sized bed.The room at this branch - Albuquerque East did not a funky smell and was clean & had international plugs which was nice. The front desk and everyone was helpful. The breakfast food and staff were all helpful and friendly. Bonus: Our room had a really nice view of the moutains as well. Had a totally different experience at Holiday Inn Houston East-Channelview. The staff were not friendly and were not helpful either (save for the Bengali lady who was probably the front desk manager). The room had a weird smell. The hotel food at the restaurant was so salty. The breakfast was ok and location was ok. That was only the plus for Houston East Channelview branch.

GGuest UserI really appreciated the staff , real problem solvers and genuinely nice people. One even helped me find a less expensive place to stay to fit my budget. Complimentary coffee ( varied options) , water dispenser in lobby, and a fantastic very large tv in the bedroom were some draw cards. I could use my Netflix membership easily . I didn’t get the included breakfast as I booked through a third party so explore booking direct . The breakfast sounded good:) . It certainly offers a far nicer ambience than the less expensive place I relocated to . Their Nice carefully picked staff make a big difference. They should all be complimented ! :)

GGuest UserWe booked a KING room, paid for it and received confirmation. Only after checking in and going to our room did we find out it was 2 double beds. When my husband went to switch rooms, one person at the desk said the kings were all booked and the other person at the desk said there was a remodel and there were not any King beds. I don't know which is true. Clearly they were not interested in helping us at all and since we had already unloaded all of our luggage we stayed there anyway. BEWARE that what you book may not be what you get and at the facility and that was not explained anywhere.

GGuest UserBella and Sonya made our trip extra special. We went out for the Balloon Fiesta. Folks at the front desk did everything they could to make sure we had a view of the balloons. If you can't see the balloons from your room go to one of the large windows at the end of the corridor near the rooms in the 20's. Try to get one of the rooms that are painted by a local artist.

AAecoThe staff at the counter had a good attitude. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom when I checked in. The equipment was replaced after notification. The equipment was a bit old. There were vagrant activities near the hotel. I was worried about the house, but it was still safe.

GGuest UserI thought the location was great. Downtown is relatively slow moving but it seems create easy access to the rest of the city. The rooms are relatively basic I got to experience the ones with an updated bathroom and the ones without. The gym is very lackluster and the pool is even more so. Staff is hit or miss. Some people were kind and attentive, others were not. There’s definitely construction going on so there are the sounds of that happening throughout the hotel. Other than that there’s not much more to tell. Nothing that really stands out in a negative or positive way.

DDviltz2I live in Albuquerque and lead a pretty hectic life working for 3 different delivery services. Whenever I need a break, I check into the Red Roof for a few days. It is always clean, quiet and luxurious for an excellent rate. The entire staff is friendly and on point. ”Ask and you shall receive” could be their official motto! Great amenities and centrally located. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is definitely the best stay in town

GGuest UserWe booked a King suite for 2 adults and 1 child and were put in the “Tower” area Rm#391 of the Hotel. The parking lot for this area sits behind a vacant commercial building that has some sketchy looking people hanging around, Drugs? ************? Homeless? were our first thoughts, the chain link fence that divides the properties is leaning over in spots giving the appearance that it has been climbed over several times and there appeared to be several vagrants in the area on the streets. We booked here for the use of the hottub which was not working and was told that the jets quit working the night before, which I have my doubts as this property is in desperate need of attention from the maintenance department. The outdoor lock of the tower building that you need your key card to enter is damaged and loosly hanging on the wall and the key card would not open it. Upon not being able to enter and reporting to the front desk they were already aware and said that it can be very temperamental. So we had to enter through the lobby and walk through “the maze” to get to our room. The walls throughout the property have several areas that need attention to cover the damaged paint that lend to the appearance of an old, tired, run down hotel. The sheets on the bed appeared clean. But the room itself needs attention. The bathroom ceiling was badly water damaged with pieces hanging down that was covered up with paint and deep scratches on the wall above the toilet. The corners of the floor in the bathroom need attention as they are collecting dirt and debris. The carpet in the bedroom is very old, loose and rippled creating a tripping hazard. The window sheers had two large vertical tears and several burn holes. The wall paper is separating in several areas and peeling away from the wall most notably in the upper corner of the bedroom. There were no visible outlets or charging stations near the bed. While searching for an outlet for my husband’s bi-pap machine we accidentally pulled the the very heavy oversized headboard off the wall thinking it would move with the bed. The headboard was only attached with two small screws that were easily pulled out of the wall. We immediately called the front desk to alert them of the accident. (Apparantly we’re not getting back the $100 deposit) The kitchenette area of the suite has very worn out cabinets, the vinyl flooring sounded and felt sticky when walking on it. There was a table in the suite but no chairs to sit at. There was no bedding or pillows in the closet for the sofa bed (we fell asleep and our 17yo daughter didn’t realize she could open the sofa bed even though she was told; but a pillow and bedding in the closet would have helped. Overall very dissapointed with the 1 night accomodations at the “Resort” rate of $463 +$100 deposit. This property appears to be an old Holiday Inn Suites that had some new paint slapped on it and they called it good. Would not recommend this property and will NEVER stay here a

GGuest UserThe food was grab and go and being allergic to cinnamon and berries breakfast was, an un satisfying piece of fruit and coffee. Not sure why they haven’t changed the breakfast back to the waffles. The front desk staff was nice and friendly and the towels were extremely soft, fluffy and was almost completely un-scented. The pool area was poorly lit and it looked like a good setup for a murder scene. The hot tub only had one jet working but at least the water was hot. I was shocked they had a sauna that actually worked well. The bed frame had blood on it and the mattress cover was dirty, But because the floor didn’t have carpet, the floor was well cleaned.
