4.4/5
Excellent
We have stayed many times at this hotel, and this is the first time I have rated it anything below a 5. It is in the perfect location for us driving in from Louisiana to stop before getting to our beach or Orlando Vacation destination the next day. It is a beautiful hotel right off I-10. I highly recommend this hotel to others when they are making the drive in. We also stay here when our university plays FSU in Tallahassee. It is away from the noise, and is an easy drive to campus. The check-in was fabulous as always with very nice desk staff getting us into our room in a matter of 5 minutes. I visited with the desk staff a little later when nobody was around. They were polite, with the young man who is working on his degree at FSU telling me a little about his future plans, and a little about FSU. The room was and easy 5 out of 5 as always. Super comfortable beds. It was ice cold on this very hot summer day which is a plus. This room is as nice as any room. It is not highly decorated, but highly decorated is not our style. SUPER CLEAN and SUPER COMFORTABLE. The 4 out of 5 is for two reasons, I had a major sugar crash. I wear a glucose monitor and my sugar was at 42 when I went down stairs to ask for some orange juice. This is how I make my sugar go up in a controlled manner (a little at a time). The young lady at the desk didn't know how to turn on the machine that dispenses OJ, and there was no juice to buy in the ”Hotel Pantry”. Knowing how to do this would help people like me when the sugar drops. I couldn't drive at 42 and dropping because I might have run into someone. She gave me some Hi C which was like drinking sugar syrup. This morning I awoke with a sugar level well over 200. The breakfast was a total fail. The waffles were not cooking all the way through in 3 minutes, The juice machine didn't work, the eggs and sausage were cold, so we are going out for breakfast. In the past this was never the case for breakfast here. I rate the breakfast as a total fail. Overall, I wanted to rate it 5, but that would not have been honest for this stay. I will be back here again in the future. I'm sure the things that were wrong on this stay will be fixed in the future.

JJohn LI travel quite a bit for business and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Drinks are nice at the end of the day but what started each day during the week is breakfast. Tiara is one of the friendliest staff members I have come across in my travels. She works the breakfast shift. It’s obvious that she loves what she does and she doesn’t skip a beat with what needs to be done. The room cleanliness is not quite the standard I like to see which is why I didn’t give 5 stars.

It was amazing, we were only in for one night, but check in was smooth, the room was clean, cozy, and chic. We were able to do late check out and enjoy the breakfast in the morning with no rush. Overall 10/10 experience, would recommend and would go again.

MmydayjobWe think this is the best hotel in Tallahassee. Super clean, updated, friendly and safe. Everyone we encountered was so welcoming and actually takes pride in the hotel. We only stay here now when we come to Tally and recommend it. Very good room darkening shades, plenty of outlets and usb plugs next to beds and integrated into sofa. Honestly couldn’t ask for more. 10/10.

BBerryThe hotel was clean and breakfast was simple but decent. Was a little disappointed with the bathroom cleanliness and amenities. There was no hand bar soap, the travel bottles they give you look like they were not new and had not been replaced. I know for sure with the body wash.. it was empty and water came out. When I went to clean up the water with a washcloth there was makeup residue on it. Overall it was a good stay.. nothing can be perfect.

GGuest UserWe checked in about 4 o’clock and when we got up to the room, we noticed that it didn’t really look that clean. We actually found a pepperoni under the desk and there were smudge marks of some sort on one of the blankets, but as soon as I asked the gentleman at the front desk if he could send somebody up to clean the room, he didn’t hesitate and when I came back, the room was absolutely clean

GGuest UserWhen I pulled up there was (I assume) a homeless person sitting out front to the left of the door and several other people (I am not sure if they were guests or not) hanging out around the front of the building. However, the front desk staff was amicable and made me feel welcomed and comfortable. The room was clean, except for the curtains (something brown had been spilled on them). I would stay here again.

GGuest UserWe arrived in the evening as a stop on our Big 2022 Road Trip. We were greeted by a friendly desk attendant in a non-air-conditioned lobby. We received our room cards and were instructed to ”park behind the partying contractors in the parking lot”. We let the ranchera music serenade us as we parked in a very busy lot for that late at night and proceeded past the picturesque courtyard and through the debris-strewn hallways to our room. We opened the ”experienced” door and saw a large room with a newer hardwood floor - but couldn't see much, as several light bulbs were broken or unplugged in the room and bath. Also, the AC was set at 61 degrees, but wasn't cooling at all - we removed the cover and saw that much of the AC mechanism was covered in crud and also iced up. We put a fan on the AC ice to melt it and see if it would work better and began to move in. Once Jose (a really nice maintenance man) brought bulbs and re-plugged some lights, we could see the walls were rather stained and the floor not exactly clean. The large flat-screen TV was good, but there was no remote. We went back to the front desk and asked for hand towels (none in the room) and a remote. We received a remote, but were told no towels at all were available in the evening. We settled in the warm and humid room and tried to relax, thankful that the walls did shut out all the festivities outside. But that's when we saw a small army of cockroaches swarm our bags on the table under the TV looking to share our snacks. We went to bed, but the AC never worked properly and we think the cockroaches stole some of our good cookies. We replenished our ice at the machine and went on our way. We wanted to speak with a manager, but after a somewhat long wait (behind other disgruntled customers) we were told one was not onsite and ”they'd take our comments”. Likes: friendly staff, nice courtyard, convenient location, good ice machine, reasonable price Dislikes: AC never worked (sweaty sleep isn't fun), very grubby room, light issues, insufficient towels, pool out of service, and those darn cockroaches

DDavid KThe motel staff was great. The few issues I had were quickly solved. The check in was quick and simple from the night window. At first the night window felt like its an unsafe area but everything was fine. My room was clean and the air conditioner worked well.
