Outstanding
YYC008Here's why we gave the experience 3 stars; First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review. The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on *******. But we didn't book through *******, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-) Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor ”inconvenience” when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance. 1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process. 2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance. Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.

Excellent
NNancy XIt don't take very long for the shuttle to come (compared to other cheaper hotels in the airport area). The room is alright, but not great. I first was assigned a room connecting to the other room where I can hear their TV. I requested to change and the second room has some napkin left beside the telephone...I asked to change again and the last room is alright. I actually asked for a kings size one bedroom but they've ran out and offered me a double bedroom. The facilities in the hotel are not new, although it's well maintained. The swimming pool is extremely small (I guess in the US it's only a pool, but not for swimming). The pool is under a large bridge so it's not exactly enjoyable, plus the water is not quite clean. It's good that you could watch the flights over your room window and it's quiet at night.

GGuest UserThe K mattress & pillows were very comfortable. The room was very spacious & quiet. Cynthia from front desk was very accommodating for my request & had a great stay. The staff were friendly, courteous & efficient. The gated covered parking came in handy for the storm & I appreciate they have 3 well functioning luggage carts for guest use. Gateway Towne Center is within walking, 1 block to Best Buy, Marshalls, etc.

JJohnny B GoodThis hotel is not convenient from the airport. There is no shuttle bus from the airport. We saw a fake review that said there is a shuttle bus. it's so bad! Ctrip should not allow such a review!! When we realised that there is no shuttle bus from the airport, we called an Uber from the airport to go to the hotel. Each way the Uber cost 46 dollars (without tip). Even though the hotel is not very far from the airport. We don't know why it's so expensive. So we paid 100 dollars just to from and to the airport. We are not happy about it :( So don't stay at this hotel if you are going from the airport. Don't make the same mistake we did and waste your money.

XxueyiyiNot recommended: 1, should be the Indian boss, there are strange smells in the corridor; 2, the room floor, the bed is squeaking, the facilities are outdated, the bed has a box, it is easy to squat people, has been bruised several times; 3, air conditioning, bathroom exhaust fan opened, just like the engine sound is too noisy, outside is noisy; 4, early is not ordinary ugly, bread is strange, are packed in the bag, many guests are Not here to eat; good place is good location, about 700 meters from the farmer's market supermarket, there is a car museum and art museum nearby, driving half a hour from Universal Studios, the car can be parked near the roadside (must be No. 34 can stop Area), the hotel will give a parking permit (one per day) check-in and check-out is convenient, the price is not cheap.

가난한대학생나그네To be honest, I was nervous because there weren't many Korean reviews, but the price was so reasonable that I made a reservation. 70,000 won for 3 days and 2 nights is too cheap for a traveler without money haha.. Here is an honest review for Koreans! (Advantages) 1. Good price I made a reservation for about 36,000 won per night. About a month before departure I made a reservation through Trip.com, and when I checked on *******, the price was similar, but Trip.com was slightly cheaper due to the airline ticket-linked promotion. It was cheaper than a Korean motel (even though it was a shared room...) and there was no additional cost at all that I was worried about. It ends with the amount you reserved! It's so true. However, there is no additional charge if you bring your own lock/towel. Because I need it If you ask at the counter, they will probably lend you towels for $2 each. If you want to stay at Loomis Hostel, a padlocked towel is a must!!! 2. Excellent cleanliness Because of the price, I almost wanted to give up on cleanliness. The condition of the bed and bedding were all flawless. To be honest, I thought it would be a bit dirty, but it wasn't like that at all. Bathrooms are also really important, but there are so many bathrooms. There is no need to wait and the many restrooms are kept clean. I really liked it. I think the host is probably a bit sensitive to cleanliness. A cleaning person comes every morning and cleans each and every bathroom. They clean it.. For a hostel in this price range, the cleanliness is really good. It's great! 3. Convenience of transportation I'm a student traveler with no money, so I never call Uber wherever I go. I used public transportation. Bus stop (where you can go to Lax) There is one within 3-5 minutes. There is a subway station and a bus stop within a 15-minute walk (you can go to Hollywood), and the road is large and wide, so it's not dangerous and I think it's a great location to use public transportation. I travel around LA using buses and subways, and the cost of travel is less than $20 :) The map is so good that it's easy to find. I took a bus from LA Airport to the hostel, which took a little over an hour. 4. Other advantages - You can make foreign friends (As an extreme introvert, it was my first time traveling alone, so I felt a bit lonely, but I had one good friend who actively talked to me. There is a meeting place near the front desk and kitchen. If you feel lonely, go and join in the conversation. People from various cultures come together to create good synergy.) - Breakfast provided!! To poor me lol.. a ray of light… It makes no sense to even provide breakfast at this price.. There are 4 slices of bread per person, coffee, pancakes (I can't see anyone making them...), Nutella and peanut butter, etc. It's a good way to fill up your stomach! - It's not an advantage, but the tip is as mentioned above. Personal lock / Multiple personal towels depending on the number of days / Required.!! +I think it would be good to have a plastic bag to store things. + About a wet tissue..? I don’t know about anything else, but don’t forget your padlock towel ~~ (disadvantage) 1. I don’t have my own space(?) It's so obvious, but it's not just my room like a motel or hotel. There are bound to be some uncomfortable things. Guests sharing a room snore, Either they are people who do **, or they are active early in the morning and come in noisily... If you don't wash well or have sensitive senses of smell, hearing, etc., use a little more. It can be hard. (The person named ** came in on the last night of my stay. It was difficult because the smell was a bit unpleasant.. haha) Still, there is a screen for all the needles, so I use that. It's okay to use AirPods or earplugs! It’s a hostel!! 2. Luggage storage This is related to not having my own space. It is stored in a shared locker with a lock. For things like suitcases that are too bulky to fit, just store them anywhere in the room. I store it in the lobby, but honestly, even if there is a lock on the suitcase, I feel a little uneasy. Someone could take it away, and to be honest, you can just cut the lock off... A part-timer who works in the hostel lobby said that at first. Since there is no CCTV and it is a bit dangerous, the most important thing is that you have no choice but to manage your luggage thoroughly haha..! You really have to pay close attention and take good care of yourself!! Despite all these shortcomings, I strongly recommend it to student travelers like me who have no money or who want to travel cheaply. I think it's great enough for this price. I am 10000000% willing to visit again. As long as you are not too sensitive and take good care of yourself, it is a perfect accommodation with no accidents at all! I hope this detailed review was helpful and have a safe and happy trip! If you have any questions about travel-related accommodations, Please email siiinyo0406@Naver! kindly !! I'll give you an answer. I hope it helps Koreans. thank you !

HHannJust needed to stay one night to catch a flight the next morning. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit cramped but was overall fine. Breakfast was nothing fancy but was also fine. More options than I thought there would be. The traffic was a bit alarming in the morning getting to the airport. Would recommend leaving early to allow for time.

We stayed in Motel 6, Hollywood from 2 June to 6 June 2023. This hotel is only about 100 mts away from Hollywood Blvd and the famous Walk of Fame. It’s about 5-10 minutes' walk from a variety of attractions including Dolby Theatre, TCL Theatre, Hollywood Wax Museum and various other museums like Guinness Museum, Hollywood Museum, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, Capitol Records Building, Madame Tussauds Hollywood, Death Museum etc. Universal Studios Hollywood is 3 miles away. Reception staff was not at all polite and they just did their duty of checking-in. They were not helpful in any manner and once we understood their behavior, we just avoided them. In fact the guy was very rude. The reception area looked like a mediocre lodge and the property is not well maintained. However, room was clean and was provided with TV, mini refrigerator, telephone, tea/coffee maker, iron box and free Wi-Fi. Bathroom had essential toiletries. There were loud noises coming from the corridor, even at mid-night. Though bed was comfortable, sleep was not comfortable for the noises coming from outside. Breakfast is not provided, however, free tea/coffee and a microwave facility is provided in the ground floor. A vending machine for snacks and drinks is kept nearby. There are plenty of eateries and bars not far off in Hollywood Blvd. Housekeeping is very poor. We made some request, which was never attended. We could see bottles and waste kept near the elevator and in the corridor. Often took the staircase, as we need to wait long time for the very old and slow moving elevator. There is a self- operated coin laundry, but, it was the most expensive laundry during all my stays in US. They charged $5 for one trip of washing and drying, whereas it was $3 in all other hotels. Metro station is only about 10 minutes walking distance. The street from Hollywood Blvd to the motel mostly look deserted and it is bit scary, especially in the evenings. You can find lot of drug ******* and homeless hanging around that area. Despite the price being high, I didn’t have high expectations of this place as Hollywood is expensive and you won’t get a good hotel for this price. However, that is not an excuse for rude behavior of staff and poor maintenance of the property. Overall, not happy with the stay and will never return.

GGuest UserDespite offering free breakfast, it does NOT start till 7-00am, then finishes at 9-00 sharp. Lots of food then thrown out, it was like packaged scrambled egg, small overcooked mini sausage, and diced fried potato. Lots of overseas guests cane after 9-00am no food? People leaving before 7-00am missed out as well! Room was okay and bathroom was very clean!
