4.0/5Very Good
This was my first time in a home2suites. I was fairly impressed. The room was somewhat sparse, mostly with curtains instead of doors, but it was, technically, a suite, with a full sized refrigerator and microwave, a complete set of dishes and glasses, a dishwasher, and a small coffee maker. There was a living/work area, separated by a curtain from the bed area, and the bathroom was clean and adequately appointed. They do need to update the carpeting, though. The neighborhood seemed fine, if not overly quiet. It is within easy walking distance to Rabbit Hole Bourbon distillery, and there is a small seafood restaurant of uncertain quality across the street. Parking in their parking lot was $15, so I parked on the street. I did not see a significant difference in security. All-in-all, a 4 for the price that I paid for a city hotel.
