GGuest UserThe customer service and breakfast was good. But the BED was HORRIBLE. it squeaked every time you moved on it. After a long 10hr drive I felt exhausted and just wanted a decent nights sleep, Well I felt worse when I woke up. The bed had to be old, ceiling in the bathroom was peeling i have pictures and the counter in the bathroom was never cleaned. There were old water marks on the bathroom sink. Its a good thing I travel with lysol wipes and a can of lysol. I have stayed at another springhill suites and did not have the same experience. Marriott really need to pay me for staying there. They also need to step up their game with ensuring all guest have a comfortable nights sleep. I will add photos later i took them on my business phone.

GGuest UserThe hotel is well located. The Front Desk Staff was professional, helpful and made check in and check out a breeze. The room was standard Courtyard Fare, but comfortable and well set up. We didn't use any other facilities than stay in the room, check in and check out, so can't comment on the food and other facilities. But for what we needed and wanted, it was exactly what we needed.

GGuest UserThe staff was very friendly and professional. Room was clean. Check in was easly and quick. There was a soccer team staying at the hotel. They got a little noisy, as well as some kids running in the halls one night. The staff asked them to quiet it down both times. Never stayed in a hotel where that was done. Quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was you typical continental. The staff made sure the area was kept clean and food was available. Mentioned to the front desk the bathroom sink had a drip. She felt bad I didn't mention earlier. Was really not big deal. Location was perfect. Close to the airport. Would definitely recommend.

GGuest UserMy wife and I had booked a stay for Sunday 11/21 and Monday 11/22. We arrived to find the facility wasn't very clean, dirty and garbage in a number of areas. The room itself was reasonably clean, except for in the bathroom it appeared that someone had spilled a liquid on the wall next to the shower and it hadn't been fully cleaned. The room was in the fourth floor, with the window above the lobby. Sunday's stay was ok, reasonably uneventful. Monday, we had been out in Roanoke and returned to the room about 5 P.M. There was very loud construction noise, drilling, hammering in close proximity to our room. We ignored the noise for about 45 minutes and then contacted the front desk. The person who answered the phone said that there had been three other complaints and security was going up to advise them to stop. The noise continued for an additional 45 minutes. During our entire stay, there were a number of children present in the lobby. By the appearance, they were children of a hotel employee. There was also a dog present on Monday afternoon/evening. The children made a great deal of noise, screaming, hollering and crying. This was happening up until right at 11 P.M. Tuesday morning at 7 A.M. the construction noise began again. Hammering, drilling and cutting of metal. This noise woke my wife and I up, and prevented us from sleeping. We gathered our things and went to check out. My wife spoke to who we believe was the person in charge to reiterate our problem with the noise. The woman that she spoke to initially lied and said that she wasn't aware that there was construction noise happening. In the next breath, she said that the were converting part of the hotel into an extended stay facility, she apologized, not seeming very sincere. We were not notified upon booking the room that there was construction happening, there were not any notices posted in the lobby and nothing was mentioned by the clerk at check in that there could be construction noise. A complete waste of money! We contacted the hotel and Holiday Inn Corporate with zero satisfaction. Stay away!

GGuest UserStayed at the Comfort Inn for one night. Accommodations were nice and the room was very clean, the rubber duck was a cute addition in the bathroom. Hotel was also very quiet, no slamming doors or hallway noise. Little difficult to find off of I-81 but eventually we got there. Breakfast was the usual fare you get at most hotels; waffles, eggs, cereal, bagels, etc but the coffee was good. I gave them a 4 star because the ice machines were out of order and the pool was closed. After a long drive from NY, would have enjoyed a swim.

GGuest UserThis review is for Econo Lodge in Martinsville, VA. We stayed here because we were going to the Martinsville race. The site said it was 3 miles away from the track which it wasn’t it was six but it was still an easy shot. The room was very outdated; the carpet was disgusting, one of the chairs was stained with who knows what, the covers had cigarette burns in them but they did smell freshly laundered. The water ran continually in the tub & there wasn’t great water pressure. The hair dryer blew up. We were happy each time with the desk staff. The continental breakfast was normal & the apples were fresh & tasty!

LLarkz99This is by far the filthiest hotel I've ever visited. As I arrived, another guest was requesting a room change because the room they gave her was disgusting. She returned when the new room given to her was also filthy. I found my own room to be a mess as well. The carpets were wall to wall stained. Every surface in the room was worn and greasy. Anything that could be broken was broken. The counter had gaping chunks of missing laminate, door hinges were busted, the iron was ripped out entirely. I only got into my room on the third try because the keys would not work and the worker had to assist me with his key. Upon entering, I turned around and left. I reported the hotel to the Roanoke Health Department due to its horrible uncleanliness. Big disappointment.
