Outstanding
MMiss GiI totally recommend this hotel to my friends and family. The room was clean, and the towels and blankets were spotless (though they didn’t provide slippers, which was fine for me since I don’t use them). Kudos to the cleaning staff for ensuring everything was immaculate. I don’t usually use hotel blankets because they often smell unwashed or feel like there are insects crawling on them, but that wasn’t the case here.
The staff was super friendly and approachable. The receptionist who assisted me during check-in and check-out was professional and made me feel comfortable. The cleaning staff greeted me with a smile in the hallway, as did the bellboy and guard.
For what it’s worth, the price you pay is fair for the service provided. However, if you’re looking for a hotel close to the airport, I wouldn’t recommend this one. It took me an hour to get to the airport due to the horrible traffic. Aside from that their breakfast is just right. I thought it was a buffet kind of bfast but food is nice😊👍🏻
GGuest UserGranada is a special place to stay.
The owners are on the grounds and personally assisting with the guests and things around the resort.
Food menus are set for every other day, which is unique. The food is delicious! A mix between local and foreign cuisine. They’re accommodating with minor changes to each meal if you request it. They also asked if we wanted our Mel served in our room, which is very cool also!
Adults only, so it is a quiet place. Pool is 24 hours. Check out time can be flexible if requested and the room isn’t booked for your check out day.
This is a great place for couples who want a quiet and relaxing place to stay.
It’s nearby Oslob, the place to see whale sharks.
If taking a bus from Cebu city, the trip is about 3.5-4 hours depending on traffic.
The beach is relaxing with very natural sand composition and the sand isn’t connected to the water, it’s above it. Bring water shoes as the water is natural with coral. Great for snorkeling!
At night we found a giant hermit crab on the beach! First time to see one so big!
GGuest UserGreat city view. Room size is above average meaning bigger than other deluxe Seda rooms we’ve been to. Misto resto is with a great view but it can be easily get full and refill takes time especially the bacon. There is direct access to the Mall which is a good thing however there is not much yet in the Central Block Mall but the basics are there. It could have been 5 star if not for the front desk who called in the middle of the night 10:30pm. They interrupted our sleep for a mistake. We were asleep when they called to ask if we’re done with the iron and board which we previously requested but declined because there was no available. Other than that, it was a great 2N/3D. We’ll comeback when in town.
GGuest UserI must start with the most incredible aspect of our experience, which far exceeded expectations. We accidentally left over $1,000 USD in our hotel room safe when we checked out. We didn’t realize this until after we had arrived on Boracay. I didn’t expect to ever see that money again. Certainly, in the US, there’s no chance in hell I’m ever getting that money back. Nevertheless, when I called the Holiday Inn Cebu City, the staff seemed genuinely committed to finding the money and somehow getting it back to me. Once they found it, they called me back immediately and confirmed the amount in the safe. Then, for the better part of two days, the staff visited various Western Union offices in Cebu City to find someone that would exchange the notes into pesos, which they could then send to me via Western Union in the US. They finally found someone who could send all but $300 because those were the older $100 bills that most foreign money changers won’t touch. Oh well, I was more than excited to get most of my money back. I was quite happy to leave the remaining $300 as a tip for their super service. Then, after a couple more weeks, they contacted me and let me know they were able to convert the remaining $300 to pesos. Keep in mind that this is a country where the wage rate is significantly lower than the US and this was a material amount of money. The staff at the Holiday Inn Cebu City was so honest and so committed to excellent customer service that they went out of their way to get the rest of the money to me. This in itself made me a life time, loyal customer of this hotel. Now, beyond this particular amazing experience, the hotel is the perfect spot for tourists. The rooms are impeccably clean and modern, the breakfast buffet was the best we had in Asia, and the swimming pool had a great view and was well appointed. The location is perfect for tourists because lots of places are walking distance, like the Ayala Center. Hands down a memorable stay for a world traveler who’s been to every continent. I highly recommend this property!!
GGuest UserThis is a budget friendly choice if you need to a short stay in Cebu city. Its ideally located near JY so transportation will not be a problem. They also have a resto called Tamp but its on the pricier side. Other restos/cafe just across the street as well. I had two overnight stays both booked on Agoda. The second stay, I decided to walk in however the front office desk agent advised me that they did not have availability. Strange. I booked a room via Agoda on the spot and was able to get the room and a good rate. Room pretty basic but it had the necessary amenities like coffee/tea making facilities. Also toiletries. Have to mention that on my 2nd stay, I was given a room that did not smell fresh. It was clean and all but the linens smelled like they did not dry properly so it was annoying. I did not raise an issue with front desk because it was just an overnight stay All in all, they offer better rates than the Yello hotel just across the road. They have long stay and day use rates as well.
AAnonymous UserMy little girl who turned 6 years old this month had another lovely time in our favorite resort here in Cordova. We have spent countless special events in our life here and we will continue to love and go back to this place.. The beach has improved a lot, loving the natural strong waves during high tides and Im loving the new set up of the benches. The pools are always clean. Special thanks to the receptionist Den who gave us a beautiful room and we had a pretty view of the pools outside. The waiters and waitresses are all warm, helpful and very hospitable. Special mention and thanks to our breakfast angels: feanz, may and marn. lunch angels- lowell, jericho. To the waiters and waitresses who cheerfully danced and greeted my daughter a happy birthday, to Lenidy, Jerson, John Leo, Jericho, Lovely, Jade and Franzette. You were all wonderful!
Thank you for making our stay another memorable one. Till next time🩷
GGuest UserI booked this hotel with my 11 year daughter to have my birthday staycation. The hotel was quite new and designs are modern. Check in was very smooth with very kind polite front desk officers. I was allowed to have an early check in as the hotel wasnt fully booked at that time and was kind to offer me a room upgrade. I politely declined the upgrade as the bed configuration wasnt suited for me and my daughter. We wanted a twin bed and the room upgrade was for one queen sized bed only. The size of our room was relatively small for a twin bed room. Its roughly 21sqm in size and it kinda tight when all your luggages and things have been all around the room. The Buffet breakfast was on the average side, Hot dishes werent kept warm and choices was kinda limited. But for the average kind of breakfast spread, I wouldnt complain more. The hotel is very near (I mean walking distance) to 7/11 convenience Stores, good quality restaurants nearby , Mcdonalds, Mactan Alfresco etc... I love the ambiance of the community ... its like a little city within a small community. Not that I really didnt like that much, but it was just something that I didnt appreciated much... its the hotel's pool that looks like blurry and wasnt kept clean by the time we went to visit the area. The prices at the bar was kinda pricey and wouldnt offer any happy hour during the day. The Surroundings of the pool area werent kept clean and aesthetically pleasing. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Savoy.
5561kateb+ Very clean European hotel - girls on the first floor are washing floors and glass entrance doors; + Just next to the hotel the rental point of the bike (from 300 to 400 peso per day (from morning to evening). + lots of cafes nearby for any budget; + reef with turtles and sardinals right beside. Notes: - Slow wi-fi ; - No breakfasts included; - Deposit 1000 peso. When leaving, they return. - When the lights were turned off throughout the city because of the heavy rain, the hotel had a generator. But only door locks were fed from the electricity produced. A bus with air conditioner to the self from moalboal at 10:00 a.m. 156 peso from a person
GGuest UserThe location is a strong point, being pleasantly separated from the bustling city area, offering a more relaxed and serene environment. The resort features a variety of amenities, including a beach, pool, spa, gym, and bar, catering to both indoor and outdoor activities. However, it's disappointing that some areas were closed, and there was a noticeable lack of maintenance in the facilities.
Unfortunately, our experience with the room was quite poor. While the room was spacious, there were several issues: some lights were not working, the air conditioning unit was leaking, and there was a water interruption that affected the supply for most of our stay.
On a positive note, the service crew were extremely accommodating and welcoming, which made a significant difference to our overall experience. The breakfast buffet, sky bar, and beach bar served excellent food, living up to expectations.
The gym, although equipped with all the basic necessities, showed signs of neglect and was not well-maintained.
One commendable aspect of the resort is its safety, especially with the high number of day visitors and foreign tourists, which adds to the feeling of security within the premises
DdiannacasoWe saw this place on Agoda and decided to book it due to the following reasons: - it’s near ayala - easy to book grab car fron the location - it fits four people - looks spacious from the photos And it did not disappoint! What I liked about our stay: - it provided our basic needs like hot & cold shower, a functioning AC, fast WiFi... Also, there’s a 7/11 branch just outside the hotel, kfc and chowking fast food chains. - we initially booked only for 1 night but extended it for 2 because of our positive experience. - customer service is satisfactory. Staff were friendly and attentive. - breakfast is inclusive. The resto is located on the 12th floor and has a great view of the city. - budget friendly. Our first night we paid P1845 and P1700+ through Agoda. Not bad for three people (room fits four). What they can improve on: - breakfast was cold and has limited options. We were only asked to choose from fish fillet or chicken hotdog.
