FfrozenpetalsThe hotels location is very good because it is right in the heart of Taiping. It is also connected to a shopping mall to buy food and other essentials. The room is clean and comfortable. But the service could be improved. My room I paid for was a twin, but I got double instead. And the city view is OK, but obscured by a large roof. There was a missing chair and the safe deposit box was locked but fortunately this was rectified by the Indian hotel manager. Honestly, I think he’s the only one who truly understands customer service. Other staff are average and some are kindof lazy. When I wanted to checkout, two Malay staff were at reception and saw me but couldn’t be bothered to attend to me while I waited right in front of them. Only the Indian manager, who was actually doing something else, put down his work and came to my assistance. The hotel restaurant only serves breakfast, afternoon tea and room service. No dinner. Too bad, as it’s quite a nice looking restaurant. Car Park is free for guests and located on the 6th floor. Overall, I did have a good stay. I think I’ll try the lake view room next time since they have cleaned their windows.

PPEICHANWe stay in a family room which has a double bed and two single beds. The room is a bit old style and the air conditioning could not be adjusted the temperature. Too cold for us until we switched off in the early morning. Anyway the staffs were very helpful and friendly, our room hair dryer was not functioning and the staff gave us another one. The buffet breakfast was good and delicious, especially the salad. Another surprise is there was an art exhibition in the lobby, quite nice.
