Excellent
Beautiful boutique hotel with a kind team of workers! It feels like a little hidden gem tucked away off the beaten path. This hotel was my favorite part of my trip! Nicole at the front desk was very welcoming! The size of their suites is very generous and it's nice to have the space to spread out and relax. I loved having a full-sized kitchen area and they provide you with utensils, cookware, dishes, and everything you need to feel at home. The bed was on the firm side but very comfortable and it was nice to have separate air conditioning units in the bedroom and living room. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my breakfast was included each morning because I booked directly on their website. At the time I'm writing this taxis into centro town were around $200 - $300 pesos from this area and a taxi into the hotel zone ran around $40 - $50 US. I would absolutely come back!

GGuest UserHotel Muare is one of the more popular hotels in the Tulum area. It is a perfect getaway if you want to have a quiet time from the hustle-and-bustle of the city to recharge. The rooms are designed to look like houses in the remote places but with all the modern amenities. It also is a great option for someone who cares about staying at an Instagrammable hotel/resort. There is one restaurant which provides good food. Negatives: -Getting to the hotel will require you to drive through really broken dirt road with several pits. -While the food options are good, if you’re someone with a dietary restrictions - e.g., vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, don’t eat red meat or raw fish, etc. you may run out of options quickly. The staff is flexible though, so they may customize few dishes for your suiting. -In general Tulum is expensive. However, Muare is up a notch. While it was a great place to stay, the price didn’t seem justifiable to me. Specially, since I don’t care as much about capturing Instagrammable photos. -While the staffs are helpful and friendly, their extreme focus on getting money out of you is just off putting. Examples: we planned to have food by the pool and it took them forever to get us the food. They missed certain items in the order. We also had issues with our food (fly in maple syrup) which was still fine (since bugs/insects can fall in your food when you live in the nature). However, when we reported and asked for a replacement, they never returned with the fresh maple syrup. Finally, I had to go to the restaurant and pick it up myself. However, when it came to asking you to pay, they would run behind you to get your sign. On top of that, there is a default tip amount included in the bill which some of them may not even care to mention to you. While checking out as well, they added a hefty service charge to the bill - this on top of the already expensive booking fee. Overall, my review is that it is a good place to stay. However, too expensive and the cost is not really justifiable. Plus for the good service they provide, it is really off putting when you see how focused they’re on getting more money out of you in any way possible.

We had an amazing time at Tago for our honeymoon. We stayed for 9 days. The rooms were beautifully situated right on the beach with private pools. They were also very big, comfortable and had air conditioning. It was not too busy being low season, which was perfect as it felt like everything was just for us. The food was amazing and the staff really went out of their way to make sure the trip was perfect. Betty helped book trips, activities and anything else with needed, she was amazing! Also supported by Luis and the great bartender Aimee who made some unique tasty drinks. We received desserts to the room each night and welcome messages in the sand every morning. The location was perfect and allowed for a 15 minute walk down the beach to other restaurants and cafes. Could not have asked for a better experience.

There is a reason Condé Nast travel ranked this beautiful resort in the top 3 of Eastern Mexico! It’s amazing, the property is kept immaculate, the service is unmatched. We had the ceiba club experience tbh I can see why families might find that aspect appealing but in the future we will skip this upgrade

SShayna0The hotel is beautiful, very jungle like feeling, peaceful and quiet. Love the little cenote. Would be nice if there was a variety of food. Only 1 restaurant, small menu, and it opens 8am so you can't get coffee/tea. The rooms dont have anything to make tea/coffee, So you'd need to head out, there's a nice French bakery 5mins walk away. The location is a little remote but with a,scooter or atv you can get to the beach or town in 15-20mins.

GGuest UserWe had an overall wonderful experience for our 7 days spent at Hotelito Azul! We went with another couple and each stayed in the Oceanfront Suites (we were above them, they were ground level). The rooms were clean and spacious. Somewhat limited storage for clothes but we made the best of the shelving/hanging unit provided. The shower is a dream. The maid service cleaned our room daily and did a wonderful job! We loved the treats left on our pillows each day. AC was yours to control. One challenge we faced that would have a simple fix was the lack of rugs in the room. You’re walking through sand to get to your room and yes, there’s a bucket of water to rinse before entering however we were desperate for a small outdoor rug or just something at either the sides or foot of the bed to brush off sand before getting in bed. Interestingly, our friends downstairs had an awesome runner at the foot of their bed so maybe just consistency with that would make a huge difference! You wake to a cute basket with coffee each morning and they will refill your drinking water as much as you need it in the room. We can’t say enough good things about the staff. You communicate to them through What’sApp which offered quick responses to any questions or concerns or when ordering food/drink. Larissa, the concierge was WONDERFUL. She welcomed us every day and made us feel right at home and taken care of during our stay. She helped fill out trip with wonderful experiences whether it be tours, great local spots for food/drink or logistics. We rented scooters from the hotel the majority of our vacation days and it was well worth it. We did find the prices just across the street were cheaper however we liked the convenience of renting through the hotel. The food and drink at the hotel is all delicious, although we quickly learned that eating and drinking on the beach does get expensive, so we chose wisely when/how much we ate at the hotel. This just comes with the location. The physical location of the hotel is ideal because it isn’t too far down into the beach strip, which traffic became pretty bad the further you drove in. The aesthetic and details of the hotel are perfect for making you feel like you’re living in a whimsical jungle. FYI to all looking to stay on the beach in Tulum, during April-November or so, Tulum gets a massive amount of seaweed that makes it nearly impossible to swim in the ocean. The hotels, including Hotelito Azul, do their best to remove as much seaweed from the beach as possible, but man, is it an uphill battle. This limited our ability to sit out on the beach unfortunately, because the only relief from the heat was the outdoor shower. Which, again, is lovely, but not the ocean. Luckily, Tulum has so many other wonderful things to do that we did not feel this impacted our trip in any significant way. Those that travel during the better months have a lovely beachfront area to look forward to at Hotelito Azul. All in all, we loved our stay at this hotel and look forward to returning in the future! Thank you all!

NNicky1226The price is a bit expensive. Good location. It's convenient for eating and shopping around. The room is big. Night life is abundant. It's also very convenient to get to the station. I will choose to stay here again when I go to Cancun in the future.

Sol is an amazing instructor of Acro!! We started with just basic warm ups and Sol ended up teaching me a head stand in my first class. Just all around fun and good vibes in the class, I’d go to every single class if I could. she also does a 7am run class which I’m really excited about trying!

GGuest UserMy wife and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 weeks here for our honeymoon. We stayed in villa 2 , room was big , great super king-size bed. The pool and views of the sea are amazing. Food wasn't great which is why I rated 4 stars. Everything else was amazing, the staff couldn't do enough for you, big mention to Francisco, Noemi, Jorge , and Freddy who catered to our every need, we can't thank them enough for their speedy service and attentiveness. Also a shout out to the entertainment staff Gio and Tati. To all the staff thank you so much for making our honeymoon so special. Love from Ireland to you all.

LLuis Fernando QuirozThe hotel is located around 1,5 km from a bus station. It was quite easy to find. In front of it there is a huge supermarket, many bars and restaurants around. The room was clean, it has all the amenities in it including beach towels. I didn’t like the service of the restaurant on the first floor. The food they served was cold, lettuce seemed to be unwashed. Tips were included automatically to the bill which I refused to give taking into consideration the level of their service.
