Hotels near Yusei-ji Temple, Kyoto

Location is great. Walking distance to places we visited as well as the Subways and bus stops. Room is clean and fontdesk personnel were helpful. Can leave luggages after checkout time. They have two coin operated laundry machines that you can use.

The room is large and you can spend comfortably. It is the best inn for just drinking and sleeping. The facilities are also common, and there is no particular complaint.

Really nice hotel nearby kyoto station. Easy access to tourist attractions. The hotel exit is directly facing kyoto stations’s dining restaurants, which offer varieties of food choices. Easy to check in and check out. Can also leave luggage after check out.

If you are a traveller like us who would like some more privacy, this place is not exactly for you. Don't get me wrong, the hotel staff are absolutely wonderful. Just that most things are communal and you have wait for your turn to shower and finish by 11.35. The walls are quite thin indeed, you can easily hear people walking on the hallway or simply chatting in their rooms.

It's quiet and easy to spend because it's one station from Kyoto Station. The location is also near the station, and it's easy to understand that you can reach it in just a few minutes from the station. Parks, aquariums and railway museums are also nearby, so you can play with your children. There is a large communal bath, but personally, the hot water is lukewarm and unsatisfactory. I stayed in a standard twin room, but I was able to spend a relaxing time in a room that was perfectly large even if I spread a large suitcase. There are also 6 coin laundry units, which is appreciated for long-term stays. It seems that a group of school excursion students was staying there, and I was worried that I could hear a slapstick noise at a fairly late time. There is also a convenience store, so it's very convenient, but it was very disturbing because a group of school excursion students was shopping and it was very crowded, and I didn't know how to use the self-checkout and was making a fuss. Room was nice but small; reception people were friendly and efficient. There were plenty of amenities at the ground floor. Breakfast of Western selections is limited, based on Japanese breakfast option. Still you can find croissants and pastries, some days they have omelet and sausages.

We chose this hotel due to itsʻ location and it exceeded our expectations! The hotel staff was helpful and provided information in Japanese and English. We stayed for 13 days and were impressed with the hotelʻs determination to provide us with clean rooms, towels and other items. This hotelʻs location at Shijo/Karasuma made it easy to get to train stations, bus and the subway. There were also many excellent restaurants and shopping possibilities. One of the features we appreciated a lot was the laundry. We also appreciated that it was quiet.. didnʻt even hear people in the halls or doors close. Having lived in Kyoto for a long time, this was our first time to stay in a hotel and would recommend it for sure.

It is not recommended for guests with more luggage or large boxes: First, because the homestay is located in the scenic area of two years and three years, tourists are like weaving during the day, and taxis can't get in at all. You need to drag your suitcase and walk a long uphill and downhill stone road and steps to find a place to live; Second, it is because it is difficult to call the car after checking out. You need to drag your suitcase through the woven stone street to the main road far away to take a taxi... Of course, for guests who have no luggage or less luggage, you may wish to experience the feeling of an old room for one night.

Check-in at Kyoto Station... Also looking for, a little distance. We didn't know until we arrived at the hotel door, but the store service was very good and the remedy was very timely. The stairs are a bit steep and will not be a very good experience.
