Amazing experience!
Our first stay in this area has been perfect (even tho we didn't really get to see Mt.Fuji in full glory). We hotel staff are all extremely nice and polite, the food buffet is delicious (especially sushi and beef steak) + there's a wide selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.
My first onsen visit was very relaxing and not scary at all - with 4 pools you can have a bit of privacy. The visual of hot steam against the dark sky will remain in my memory for a long time.
The hotel offers transportation to and from station, or you can just walk there in like 10 mins. The location of the hotel is super - the buses stop just outside of the hotel and you can walk to some attractions (appare boat, Herb museum etc.)

Overall as we rented a car, location is good. Our Hotel room for 3 of us has good view of Mt Fuji and the amusement park. We stayed for 2 nights for new year count down.
However, 1st time in our travel experience that after the room was cleaned, we only found out the next morning that our personal toothbrushes, shaver, toothpaste etc, organized at the washing area in toilet were missing. These are personal items, and it was disappointing, and was told by front counter that they are unable to trace it.
The front desk apologized and given us 3 new toothbrushes when we checked out. We hope hotel will look into this. Though the items are not expensive but to a certain this is avoidable.

Recommend for family or group of friends. The house was clean and warm. The fuji view was really beautiful. The only problem is that there is no automatic toilet 😭

Facilities: The room is very large. You can take a bath directly in the hotel. There is a kitchen in the room. You can borrow pots from the front desk. There is a microwave, refrigerator, and fireplace. The room also has floor heating. It is beyond expectations.
Hygiene: very clean
Environment: The hotel is very large, with guest rooms, villas, and a spa building. The one I stayed in is considered a resort, with one building and guest rooms next door and on the second floor. The restaurant is in the main building, check-in is also in the main building, and there is a shuttle bus to Kawaguchiko Station

The location is between Kawaguchiko and Yamanakako. The rooms are well-equipped. The owner of the B&B is a big brother from the Northeast. He is very enthusiastic and sent us to watch the sunrise for free in the morning. Thank you so much! After watching the sunrise, we took our luggage to Kawaguchiko and were lucky enough to see Mount Fuji🗻
Environmental sanitation, hot springs, scenery, breakfast and dinner are all great
When I made the reservation, there were only a few reviews on Ctrip and I hesitated for a long time.
Very satisfied with the result. The 24-hour constant temperature hot spring is amazing👍
The disadvantage is that you check out too early. You should stay a few more nights.
I also temporarily added a child for breakfast, but he couldn’t eat it at all.
Unexpectedly, breakfast charges 1500rmb per person
Don’t add breakfast at random😭
Our hotel is conveniently located in Yamanaka Lake, Hirano Station, from which you can reach Tokyo or Kawaguchiko.
Just 300 meters from the famous attraction of Lake Yamanaka, Hirano Hama, where you can play with swans, is a photographer's paradise, where you can take pictures of the reverse Fuji and other beautiful scenery, of course, it is also a good place to watch the sunrise and sunset.
The hotel is surrounded by convenience stores such as 711 and local restaurants.
GGuest User2024.10.14
The room is very Japanese, I like it very much, and it is very quiet at night, which is very suitable for a rest stop during a city transit trip.
The boss is very nice, we can communicate in Chinese, and the local uncle who manages the B&B is also very nice. I was alone that day, and he waited until I came to check in very late.
The room is close to the Yamanakako Plain, and the transportation is relatively convenient. If you go to Tokyo, you can take a bus to Shinjuku here.
Finally, there are three regrets. One is that my phone fell on the way there, and I will not buy a folding screen again😭 (the boss is still very active in providing help)
The second is that the B&B seems to have not found a hair dryer, and the supplies can be placed more prominently☺️
The third is that the restaurant here closes early, but there is an izakaya and 711 next to it.
Very satisfied☺️
Overall very satisfied. The location is next to Lake Yamanaka, very quiet. There are Chinese staff in the hotel, communication is barrier-free. When I went there, I almost couldn't buy a ticket. The staff helped me to find tickets for nearby stations and arrived smoothly. They also provided pick-up and drop-off services, which is very important because it is not convenient to take a taxi here... The hotel has electric power-assisted bicycles, which are 1,000 yen cheaper than those on the street. This car helped a lot. You can see Mount Fuji a few steps from the hotel entrance, and you can see the red Fuji in the morning. The hotel is a bit old, but the facilities are clean and simple, and it is quite comfortable overall.

Hotel itself is bit isolated and need to rent a car to get to the hotel. There is nothing stand out in this Marriott hotel. Stayed here for one night due to it's close approximity to the lake and hotel has suna in offer.

Shihe Hot Spring is a very small village. This hotel is a 20-minute walk from the station. Contact the hotel in advance to reserve a shuttle. A taxi is not expensive and costs less than 20 yuan.
Features of the hotel are the courtyard and hot springs. The courtyard is exquisite and has koi carps. The hot springs are particularly good, natural hot springs.
Breakfast is a set meal. When checking in, the front desk will ask guests in advance what time they would like to eat.
There is a home wine shop opposite the hotel, which is open late in the evening.
The rooms are all Japanese-style, sheets are recycled every day, and staff will come to make the beds in the evening. It will be more difficult for the elderly to sleep on the floor, which needs to be considered in advance. The room is large and can sleep 5-6 people.
Outside our room is a rockery with an artificial waterfall landscape. At first, I was worried that the sound of water would affect my sleep. What's very considerate is that the waterfall will automatically close at 9:30 every evening and at noon, allowing guests to have a rest in peace.
Overall, I was very satisfied. Apart from hot spring bathing, there were no other entertainment activities.

AAutumnLeafThis is by far the best hotel I've stayed in Japan. Hospitality, cleanliness and food were perfect. Best value for a all-inclusive onsen resort by the lake.
Staff were friendly and attentive. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we felt welcomed and well taken care of during our stay. They received us from the carpark and got our baggage for us. When we left, they made sure to carry our luggage to the car.
Rooms and the guest onsen were clean, big and spacious, with propery air-conditioning and heating. It also has a good view of mount Fuji from the room balcony (though unfortunately it was raining for the 2 days which I was there)
The food was amazing as well, there were so many choices and we were left stuffed after both dinner and breakfast.
Would highly recommend anyone this all inclusive hotel if you have the chance.
DDayamirAnother nice hotel we stayed in is here Hotel Route Inn. Everything was great. View frm our room is magnificient. And the best thing is they have a private onsen that u can use with a fee. And very affirdable too!! Every staff is so helpful and polite. 🥰

GGuest UserThe hotel is nestled in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area. We stayed 3 nights in a room facing the lake with a magnificent view of Fuji-san. A van provides shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station. The restaurant is not operational hence we either ate outside or bought food back from Lawson/7-11. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive, and there were Mandarin-speaking staff. We miss it very much even though we are now in Hoshino Amoriya, which speaks a lot about the Kumonoue Fuji!
AAnonymous UserA great hotel to stay if you want to have non-crowded onsen experience. Has smoking room on each floor, drawers filled with yukata, hair brush, cotton buds etc available on each floor as well. Upon reaching Kawaguchiko Station, you can use a pay phone and call the hotel to send someone to pick and send you to the hotel.
GGuest UserThis heotel is valued the money. I booked a room for 3 persons. One double bed and one single bed. The beds are comfortable enough to sleep. Hotel also provided extra pillow if you needed. There is only one pond in public bath for male room. And one for female room. The clenliness is acceptable. Breakfast is not variety choices but good quality. The car parking is available in front and at the back of the hotel.
SSRL13064We used the payphone at the train station to call the resort and they arranged a pick up service for us. It arrived within 15 minutes of the call so we didn’t have to wait too long in the cold. It would be better if they could let us know about this arrangement in the booking confirmation.
Driver who picked us up was a delight to meet! He was cheerful, coupled with his humorous mannerism, brightened up the otherwise gloomy journey amidst the cold.
Location of the resort is quite far away. Although there was a 7-11 within 10 minutes of walking, the nearest shopping cluster was 20 minutes away, although this shopping cluster is quite a complete one with a full pharmacy, supermarket and plenty of food options, ranging from cheap to exquisite. The resort is 30 minutes walk (15 minutes drive) away from Kawaguchiko station. The location will be more convenient for travelers who drive.
We woke up with a direct view of Fuji-San! Absolutely breath taking.
Breakfast, served buffet-style was sumptuous with Japanese food. It filled us up and got us ready for the day.
Upon check out, we realized we had to book the shuttle bus to the train station. We thought it would be readily available. This was not the case as the bus at the previous timings were full. This could have been made known to us upon check in. Also, the shuttle bus is actually a 7-seater car and not a bus. Maybe right-naming the vehicle is better as it will give travelers a better understanding the capacity of the transport.
AAnonymous UserLocation: Minutes away from Gem museum if you are taking the red line bus. It's located right beside the kawaguchi lake.
Room: Very very big room enough to lay 5 futon if require. Furniture looks dated but functional and the room is kept very clean and tidy. Needs a physical key to access the room though. Has view of Kawaguchi lake and Mount Fuji by the window. That itself is already worth the money paid for.
Food: Booked the room with Dinner and breakfast included and I would recommend anyone that books the place to do so as well, very sumptuous spread and delicious too.
There is onsen within the hotel too with indoor and outdoor pool. Highly recommended for anyone considering a hotel in kawaguchi.
GGuest UserAmazing ryokan. Friendly staffs & they spoke good English. Located right by the lake and you get amazing view from one of the onsen(there are two, one for men & women). A little bit old but the rooms, lobby, hallways & elevator are clean & well maintained. Highly recommended!
SSor Yi MingPlace is close to ropeway bus stop. however, it can be a challange to carry your luggage up the hill slope which is share with cars and visitors to the ropeway.
smoking room doesnt smell smoky as they provide purifier.. but the hallway lead to the room are very smoky in smell. just has to bare with it.
once enter, required to change show for their slippers, proceed to check in, there are foreign staffs that can speak some english to help with check in
if you check in between 3 to 5pm, there are free flow of snacks (popcorns, meatbun, mugi cha) and alcohols ( lemon sour and asahi beer)
once check in u can go for onsen to relax. not mandate to wear yukata. but feel free to do so for the immersion.
the room is dated, like stuck in the 90s or early 2000s. toilet is seperate from bath.. frankly speaking its better to bath at the onsen if you dont mind ***** infront of strangers n stared by japanese guests to see if u make any mistake ( they want you to be clean in every nook and cany) as they are in the onsen
has sauna but quite small. hover 82 degree c
has old school water spray jet which u need to control manually on all 3 sides.. good luck to do it fast during cold days.
basic amendities at the onsen area.. just hair dryer, fan and thats all
bed n pillow quite soft... pillow are small but u can get more from reception.
great view of the lake from hotel room and dining area.
breakfast is ok. everyday similar menu.. buffet style breakfast.. fish, asa curry, breads, minced marinated sashimi don, corn soup and miso soups. free flow coffee, soft drinks and limited selection of fruits.
dinner is ok, buffet style but 90 min.. need to info counter what is your prefered time slot. i recommend choose dinner... cuase it is quite a distance to the bus station for food.. and the queue are horrendous but the food are nice there tho, u can even admire mt fuji.
heard the dinner theme is based on months or seasons.
