Hotels near Manakkudi Bus Stop, Nagapattinam

I have been working in the hospitality industry for the last 8 years. I have been to many places across India. i've never seen such a bad asset. We booked on the phone and travelled and we didn't even get the right reception. We told them all the details before we booked – but after the visit they repeatedly told us all the details over and over again and made us stand for a long time at the reception. After that we entered the room – there was no ventilation – and someone who was with us took us to show us the room and it was only after the person left the room that the AC worked well. The AC didn't work till night for the next 5 minutes, we called him at night and told him the details, we asked, to which he said i'm sorry sir the electricity has been stopped manually and I will run it myself. i hope it only happened to us. There is no facility inside the room In the evening we go to the temple and ask them to clean the room before coming back. if they had asked for extra money for it, we were willing to pay for it, for which they would only clean once a day, like they said in deep words. We used to buy around one thousand eight hundred rupees per day, during the day I did not get ac on day time , not getting proper hospitality, in the room there was bedsheet, extra towel, even hot water to bathe in the evening,nothing was right, I didn't get proper sleep for a hole day , that trip was completely useless... Someone who comes in plain clothes! They are being treated badly. If someone asks for a recommendation for this hostel, I will not recommend this property. Don't go here if someone wants to have good hospitality.... Thank you

Pros: wonderful stay. Welcome drinks provided. Calm location. Neat and clean resort and rooms. Biggest swimming pool. Tasty food. Servant and workers treated us well. Swing and chairs are good to relax. Ac and tv facility is good. Cons: breakfast limit is 100rs/head. If extra, you need to pay from your pocket. Pool water should be maintained clean.

I was allotted in 1st floor. Ask for ground floor. They accommodated in downstairs. They are very kind.

False claims in amenities. It supposedly has a 24 hours coffee shop and a restaurant. I’m shocked to say that they don’t have a functioning restaurant. Also shocked to find that they don’t provide coffee, tea, sugar etc to make our own coffee ( an electric kettle is present). They buy coffee from some outside shop and give. I feel cheated and robbed of my money ( around Rs 4500) for one night. I’ve checked their claims of gym, swimming pool etc. I’ve my own doubts. We had to walk out to find a restaurant. I’ll not recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s a glorified lodge.Actually for making the false claims the hotel should apologise and refund the money. The next question is ‘ how to believe Trip advisor recommendations’.

Had a comfortable stay. The room was very neat and clean. Ac and tv was working fine. Front desk was positive and friendly any requirement was met immediately. Recommended for stay with family they do not have a restaurant but you will find many restaurants within 200 to 300 meters morning star church is at walkable distance. Overall a very comfortable stay nothing to complain about.

A wonderful stay for pilgrims. The Rooms were well kept with good fragrances. Comfortable stay with so much hospitality from the staffs of the hotel and restaurant.Food was tastier compared to other restaurants around.

Excellent trip with family and friends Well maintained Perfect rooms and service extra ordinary Front desk vijay excellent job to take care of our family stay and made our stay memorable Vijay in service good and handled all our needs good Chef Saravana made my whole family needs fulfilled with his delightful dishes and all enjoyed his dishes for whole family Keep up same food job will come back again in future as well very soon. Good job guys

Helpfull staff

The room is good. Though the hotel has not received my booking details, ( it was reported) hey have accommodated me. The manager, mr. Dhansekaran, at he hotel has helped ne a lot in arranging a cab for my pilgrimage tour to the near by temples. He has also informed the availability of vegetarian restaurants, near by. Very courteous and helping ***. Very nice stsy
