we came back from an event approx midnight. asked for 2 glasses of red wine at the bar. staff member offered us a number of bottles . we picked one, she opened it. then the duty manager turned up and said that this wine wasn’t available by the glass only by the bottle. ( which was £55) we explained that we were offered this option by the bar staff but he still said no. bar staff then had to put the cork back in the bottle. we asked how they could do that when it could only bought by the bottle and no customer would buy a bottle of wine that had already been opened. no change. out of courtesy to the bar staff we agreed to pick another red wine. turns out they only had one glass left of that one and no spares . therefore we ended up with our 3rd choice option. this all took 45mns from order to serve. some of the worst hotel service we have ever had.
The room was clean and comfortable, apart from some staining on the shower curtain. Decent enough shower. It's on a main arterial route into Liverpool and as such there was quite a bit of traffic noise so not the best night's sleep. There's no restaurant or bar, so if you want breakfast, it's one of their snack bags. Presumably due to the distance from the city centre (about a half hour taxi ride, depending on traffic) it is quite cheap and wasn't very busy when I stayed here during a major event in the city.
Came here with my partner for my 30th, we also got engaged here the year before. A lovely night away if you want a little bit of luxury. The spa bath is lovely, beds comfy and the breakfast is always high quality. We didn’t have an evening meal or visit the bar this time round but have done in the past and it’s very high quality and fancy. We were checked out by Lisa and Bill and they were lovely to talk to, as are all the staff I have encountered at the hotel.
An amazing experience, everything was perfect until the moment we were looking for a good night sleep has the priemier inn advertised, the memorable moment that you sink in the mattress, sitting on the bed for a couple of seconds to the noise of creaks, grinding unbelievable obviously a very old mattress that was long overdue for the skip. We were moved to another room which was much better but again you could tell it was a old mattress..very disappointed not to.have the priemier inn promise on the advertisment of a silentnight.
Beautiful apartment with two bedrooms Pros Cheap cost City centre Close to car parks and transport links Toiletries and cleaning products provided Great facilities in apartment ( washer, fridge etc) Cons It’s an old building with single glazing so there’s some street noise ( the company has other apartments not far away in quieter locations ) The second ‘bedroom is only partitioned off from the living area so it’s unusable if the person/people in there are still asleep I have to say some of the reviews for this place made me worry if booking this was a good choice or not. But it was only for one night so what was the. Worst that could happen The apartment is beautifully furnished and the linen was clean and soft Obviously these are let all the time so there’s some general wear and tear and some of the dining chairs are a bit stained but I get that they don’t get much opportunity to deep clean However. The beds were comfy. It had everything you need for a stay away. Cups plates etc. little toiletries in the bathroom ( maybe a mini soap for the sink wouldn’t go amiss guys ). Washing up stuff and a washing machine are included if you need them The apartment was amazingly spacious It was just a friend and I but we opted for two rooms as I’m an early riser and she isn’t. Plus I snore - so I’ve saved her having to listen to me all night . The communication from the castle collection was great from the get go , the staff we met in the building were very friendly and it was nice to find somewhere that didn’t take hen/stag parties to help keep noise down If you’re wanting somewhere affordable that’s not a premier inn etc. in the city centre. Comfortable and clean then I highly recommend. We’ll definitely be using these again if we return to Liverpool
Disaster. Rooms were far from clean with very few items stocked. No mugs at all. All surfaces were dirty. Windows/blinds didn’t work and a huge hike up stairs with large bags. Couch filthy. My elderly parents were in a room with the living area in the basement which stank due to the shower leaking and the carpets were soaked. Their room was on the Main Street with people smoking & drinking directly outside. Customer service woeful - zero communication or help with check in and over two weeks later we are still waiting for 250 pound security deposit to be returned. Completely unacceptable and we are having to chase daily.
Stayed here while having a long weekend break in Liverpool We were here four 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were very kindly upgraded to a larger room which was perfect as my wife has a mobility scooter. The room was newly refurbished and very clean. The mattress and pillows were the best we had ever slept on Everyone was extremely friendly and went out of their way for us and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was buffet style with good quantity fresh ingredients and a chef who would make omelettes or your eggs anyway you wanted. The hotel is very close to all attractions Must make a special thank you to the reception staff who were very friendly and always asked if we had enjoyed our day and to let them know if there was anything else they could do for us It was our first trip to Liverpool and hopefully not our last and I would definitely highly recommend this hotel.
I am a regular guest at premier inn Roby for work purposes and I genuinely enjoy staying there. All the staff go above and beyond to help me whenever I need and always great me with a smile upon arrival and recognise me without asking my name. I think there personal touch is on point. Have been meaning to leave a review for quite sometime and never got round to it
Just back from a 4 night stay. Room and bed very comfortable. The temperature control wasn't working; however, when I raised it with reception the matter was resolved quickly. Temperature can be set at their end so it was then just a case of switching it on and off as I pleased. Evening meal was by booking, with bookings staggered, and the restaurant perhaps only 40% full at any point. While the service was then some might feel to be on the slow side, the meal was worth waiting for. In any event I only ate there one night and largely out of curiosity. Needless to say, there are an abundance of eating options around the hotel. There are only two lifts and unfortunately one was out of order for the duration of my stay. The other lift is slow, and in seemingly constant use. I was very happy with the room and very happy with the price and I got what I paid for.
