RRip RipHad high expectations of my stay and it was completely fulfilled and I was impressed. Overall welcome and ambience was just right being professional and sincere. Our bed room, junior suite after upgrading with extra fee, was reasonably sized although the bathroom with the layout of the door made it difficult and slightly dangerous to enter / close behind guest. The spa village was busy but understandable; it felt clean and very updated overall so there was less of a concern on hygiene which is understood can be difficult to maintain standards. The breakfast room, choices and service was fine as expected so it’s worth signing up for. Although by day 2, it was hard fo imagine having another breakfast so possibly having breakfast for one day as an option would be good. Would have liked to have body lotion in bathroom as I had to rely on the one available in the spa village… and with 2 nights stay, toiletries were not replenished … Always a nice welcome when soft drinks / mini bar is complimentary ; although it doesn’t cost a lot to fill a fridge but small gestures like these make guests feel more welcomed Thanks for a great stay; would like to take my 80 year old mum here sometime in future as she would enjoy it tremendously !!

GGuest UserIts meant to be a luxury-ish short weekend getaways before my job starts as my partner can't take a long leave. The delux double room is a huge disappointmemt.Understably, it is a very premium location and other guest probably pay a lot more. However, I wouldn't think of paying over £300 to get a room feeling like a old day servant's room. Being placed at the roof extension room with the view mostly blocked, the floor makes the typical old wooden cracking noise as we walk. The curtain, carpet and bathroom are not in the best condition. The glass on top of the table and desk are not well fitted. Another thing is that, without any previous notice, the spa closed foe maintenance the morning we leave. The fake plants make it look less luxury than its branded. The plus side, it is kind of inclusive which the spa pool, gym and breakfast are included. The breakfast is quite nice if you like English breakfast or they have some basic buffet.

GGuest UserIt takes 10-12 mins to walk from the station, which is not good for those have luggages. The hotel is nice and convenient while the staff are all very nice. Only one of the lift is broken during our stay which cause certain inconvenience. Anyway, it is a good choice for family trip, the family suit is big enough for 4 people and very comfortable.

GGuest UserLast month we stayed in the Premier Inn 100 yds down the road from the Hampton and boy the hotels are like chalk and cheese with the Hampton winning hands down. Reception brighter with plenty of cheerful receptionists to check you in. Rooms are well laid out with everything you need including a safe, fridge, hair drier and iron. Lovely big walk in shower with plenty of toiletries to hand and lovely fluffy towels and believe it or not flannels. Two sets are laid out in the bathroom ready for use. We had a twin room and found the beds to be larger than an average single bed, very comfortable and lovely bed linen. The TV on the wall is huge with plenty of channels to keep you entertained. Wifi is free. As for the breakfast well we found plenty of choice - sausages, mushrooms, beans, hash browns and scrambled egg. There was toast, croissants and muffins, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheese and I also spied pots of Oats so Simple you could make up and a waffle maker which was very popular. Given that this was included in the price (unlike the competitor where you have to pay an additional £9.50 for breakfast) we found it was a good enough start to our day. Location is great with the only downside, as with most city hotels, there is no on site parking. Quids cheaper than the competitor when we booked what is not to like?

GGuest UserJust returned from a 2 night stay and the hotel was spot on ! I had to ring the evening before as I had booked the wrong date, Sam was super helpful and continued to be so when we checked in the following day and he was on reception, greeted me as a gold member . He had a room ready and offered an early check in, and even accommodated ensuring I had a quiet room. Breakfast was better than expected considering it was included, and there were plenty of extra tea bags and coffee sachets by the lifts if you needed more for your room. Staff were friendly and room was basic but comfortable - as advertised ! Big thanks to Sam, as this trip could have started very differently ….. Will definitely work myself back to platinum with IHG now. :-)

GGuest UserAt first check-in, staff said my booking’s payment was failed, I showed my booking confirmation with clearly stated payment successful, then he printed a confirmation for me to sign but I found that’s another one’s booking… totally another name… The 2nd print out was just showing my name without another personal information and I was told it’s okay to sign… Once I entered my room, there’s no bath tub, I called the concierge and claimed that when I booked this room type, photo clearly showed there’s bath tub and that’s why I chose this more expensive room type, staff just told me only Superior King room type offered bath tub… When I tried to take a shower, there’s no shower gel & face tissue in the toilet… what a big surprise that a so called 4 stars hotel could provide such service standard… I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone going to BATH for a visit… And what’s more, this is my Birthday trip with more than 3 hrs drive from the North, they really gave me a BIG surprise!!

The location is amazing. If you come to Bath by train, you must stay at this hotel. It is just across the road from the train station, and it is convenient to go shopping. Very old English hotel with great breakfast and great service.

MmomononoBath Abbey Hotel, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio Property I booked this hotel in Bath through trip.com. I took advantage of two promotions on the platform: a £5.99 railcard purchase and £5 off train tickets, both requiring booking a European hotel within 26 days through trip.com. Considering that the official website’s prices were quite similar, I went with the trip.com booking. I reserved a cozy room for 1 adult without breakfast for £113. Money-saving tip: I used TopCashback to access trip.com, earning $7.67 cashback for this booking. After I checked out, trip.com triggered an immediate discount of £10.46, which I applied to my next train ticket purchase. ❤️ Third-party Marriott members get perks, too! This hotel falls under the Marriott Tribute Portfolio, embracing a boutique hotel approach. The entire establishment dates back to 1739, boasting a historic exterior. It’s conveniently situated just about 3 minutes’ walk from the Roman Baths and across from Sally Lunn’s. With my Marriott Platinum Card, even with a third-party reservation, the hotel upgraded us to a larger ground floor room facing the street after matching our account, but it’s not advisable due to potential noise. They also offered complimentary à la carte breakfast. Breakfast slots had to be reserved during check-in, and we chose a table at 10 AM. The breakfast was abundant, and the restaurant had a charming and lovely atmosphere. The experience was excellent (the best things are free!). Unfortunately, I don’t have space for more photos, but I’ll post one of the restaurant later. The room was quite small, designed in a modern British style, with a movie-themed decor according to the posters on the wall. All the amenities were provided, with local brand toiletries available for purchase at the front desk for £25 for two bottles. They were decent, but nothing extraordinary to consider bringing back home. The minibar had coffee, various teas, semi-skimmed milk packets, and biscuits. The bottled still water was in an aesthetically pleasing canned form. 🌟 There’s an Elemis sleep kit on the bedside: temple balm/sleep mist/eye cream, placed over a hotel postcard, looking quite exquisite. The bed was very comfortable. ❌ However, there were a few drawbacks to this place… a bit unnerving… I’m not sure if I just had bad luck. The hotel corridors were somewhat confusing, and I accidentally opened the wrong room door once using my own room card. Strangely, the next day around ten o’clock, while I was in the bathroom and my son was on the bed, despite securing the latch on our door, someone managed to open it slightly, presumably seeing my son on the bed, and then closed the door. Perhaps it was a housekeeping staff member wanting to clean the room? Regardless, it felt quite odd… a little unsettling, to be honest

JJingxuanziThe hotel is close to the University of Bath, but a little far from the city center of Bath; if you are traveling by car, it is not recommended to book; self-driving travel is recommended, the room is very good. good external environment

MMr. SantoryuThe room was really maintained. It was a bit chilly as the radiator seemed out of order. But overall the amenities were sufficient. The availability of hot kettle with tea and coffees were really convenient. I'd love to stay again sometime.(picture below is the view from our room)
