The location is very convenient and the overall feeling is very good. I will visit again The store clerk is also very friendly and the service attitude and quality are excellent.

This hotel was fine, and yet quite confounding. What should have been a fine experience otherwise was marred several stupid and small flaws, which would be really easy to fix, if there was any will at all on the part of management:   1) Check-in - with only one person before me, took 20 minutes. Computers were not working.    2) Privacy policy - I was made to sign a paper, but after signing the person kept the paper. I had no copy so no record of what I signed.   3) Room: Totally baffling array of switches for the lighting system, impossible to decipher.   4) Hair dryer: broken, screeching sound and no air coming out. Wondef if the staff bother check them? I was quite scared and turned it off immediately.   5) Contacting reception - I had to use my mobile phone to call the front desk to report the hair dryer, at which time i was told that the number to contact reception was 1700. Amazing. NO one said that on check in. I did later discovered it was handwritten on the key-card paper, but the receptionist could have bothered to point that out.   6) Elevators. Ridiculous! I visited several floors to find the way back to reception. There is a giant sign OUTSIDE the elevator that says 0 for reception. But INSIDE the elevator there is no ”O”, only ”B”. I finally go thtere, but I mean seriously, how unhelpful.   7) Invoice - I requested an invoice at reception on departure. When I got home I discovered it is not even a correctly done official invoice for VAT purposes. It was issued on a plain piece of paper, lacked the company name address and VAT number, and they didn´t bother to put my info on it.   I had to write to atencion cliente and comercia1 to request a new one.   Items 5 and 6 could be so easily solved with small stickers (one for each phone, two for each elevator).   How much effort is that? Obviously too much.    I should add, that the stay was otherwise fine. This could be a five star experience. Except, it isn't.   These are small things. Never have I encountered a hotel that gave off such a feeling of no one caring at all about the place.

Threat value for money, spacious room. However, some of the staff could be quite impolite, rushing us to check out on the last day. Also unable to provide alternative solution except asking us to take public transport during taxi strikes

From entering the hotel to the time we checked out we were treated like royalty. We came to Barcelona for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and on the day of check in I was greeted by beautiful patisserie and a bottle of chilled cabs in our room! Our first breakfast was heralded by complimentary pancakes and the staff were so courteous and helpful. But what made our stay so special was that this isn’t just an ordinary city hotel. They ooze individuality at every opportunity, from the selection of drinks in your room to the evening entertainment and everything else in between. This is our little secret hideaway in Barcelona, and we shall be returning.

A very pleasant stay, we arrived late at night and the woman on reception was polite and spoke great English. Our room was basic but clean and tidy and that's all we wanted and expected. The hotel was fairly quiet, I have read a few reviews about loud music but we had a room at the front of the hotel only 1 floor up and I can honestly say we heard nothing and got 3 good nights sleep. The hotel is situated quite far away from the main part of Barcelona where many of the tourist locations are but its about a 5 minute walk to the nearest tube station and it's all easy enough to navigate so you are there in no time at all. Every night we stayed we retired back to the hotel about 7 or 8pm we sat in the bar area until about 11pm and had a few relaxing drinks. The two people on the bar a young girl and an older gentleman where absolutely fantastic and I cannot thank them enough for making us feel welcome, they bent over backwards to make us feel at home and served us drinks to our table as well as supplying us with some complimentary nuts which never go a miss after a few beers. All in all it was perfect for our long weekend break. Thank you.

I hate a person in reception who picked up my call in night time! Her English wasn’t good. She didn’t understand what I ask because she replied wrong answer. So I have to kept asking in the same question and than she changed her voice in moody voice and still reply wrong answer. Until I kept asking on third time and she gave me the right answer by still moody and she didn’t try to say sorry to me at all!!!!!! It’s really ROUGH!

WOW! How's that for a start? And that's how it started. We arrived at about 1000 - well too early for the 1400 check-in time. The staff was very friendly, informative and helpful from ”Hello/Hola”. They took our bags and put them into locked storage until our room was ready; they pointed out the breakfast buffet (more on that); and offered ideas on nearby places we could walk to/visit while we waited. The breakfast was an experience from another world. Fresh squeezed juices, fresh fruits and avocado, cereals, breads, meats, lox, cheeses, eggs, sausage, potato, fresh tomatoes...and more. It truly represented my idea of a 'luxury buffet' in a unique and quiet environment. The menu varied slightly each day but was consistently awesome and enjoyable. The attendant was very efficient and proficient in keeping the selections full, fresh and clean. Earlier than the appointed check-in time the room was ready. We went up and found a very nice, well-appointed and comfortable room with a refrigerator that was stocked - and open for use. Juices, wine, beer, soda, water - all ready for use and replaced as it was consumed. The hotel was nicely centrally located, with plenty of features, stores, and sights within a reasonable walking distance. And, with 10,500 cabs in town, it was never a problem either having the desk call for one or going out into the street and hailing one. Again, staff was phenomenal! They were on-the-ready to answer any question and assist with any request. I (negligently) didn't get the name of the young man with the beard who was on the desk, but I want a good 'shout-out' for him; and also for Noelia, who overcame all of the problems I was having with what should have been a simple on-line airline check-in. KLM's process and coordination with partner Delta just wasn't working for me. The general condition of the hotel was very good-to-excellent, and clean. The 'sitting area' featured some terrific settee's, tables, reading and local information books and information, and quiet! And there was an occasional bottle of wine and glasses awaiting anyone who wanted to have a sip. This was our first 'European' hotel stay. I don't know how well it compares with others. But until I find anywhere that beats it, Casa Elliot will be the standard to beat.

The Majestic Hotel is in a great location. Lots of shopping and places to eat in the area. Our room was a junior suite. It was large, comfortable, very clean and extremely welcoming upon our return after a long day out enjoying the sites of Barcelona. The breakfast was wonderful having pretty much everything you could want for breakfast and more! When we come back to Barcelona in the future, we will definitely stay at the Majestic Hotel.

We had the best stay. The hotel is in a great location it took us less than 5 minutes walk from the airport bus drop off. La Ramblas is a short walk away and around the hotel are lots of bars and shops. Recommend Lucciano’s ice cream and el nacional for drinks/ food. The room was perfect and clean good size and nice bathroom. Everyday we had a breakfast bag left with a muffin and juice and free coffee. A welcome treat. The staff were all lovely. We would definitely stay again and would recommend

Overall very good service Only downside, an electric meter a bit tight because it jumped several times when using the appliances (hob, oven) and the ceiling light in the first bedroom on entering which lights up everything alone at night. We forgot a blue
