We spent about 2 weeks here during a family visit. It's a fairly new hotel with a few kinks. Let me start with the positives. Staff are great, no exception. The included breakfast is great, but after 2 weeks with zero variation, it began to wear thin. The espresso maker is available to guests at no extra charge all day, which is plain fabulous. There's a serious issue with the hotel parking. They have a *very* limited number of parking bays, so you never know, when you return, whether there's space for you. There's plenty of other parking in the vicinity, but if you don't know your way around town, it's an issue. Many guests simply leave their cars in the no parking zone adjacent to the hotel. Not sure whether there's a deal with the city ticketing people, but I don't think anyone ever got a ticket in the two weeks that we spent there. You do so at your own risk, obviously, We went through various rooms because the air conditioning didn't work (and it wasn't even summer). I don't want to know what this would look like when it's actually hot. Frightening. It took their staff days to figure out what the problem is (after initially denying that there was a problem to begin with). Not great. WiFi worked great, in the room and the lobby, which has plenty of seating in case you prefer a workspace that's not in your room. There's a small, but decently equipped, gym for hotel guests. The room is what you'd expect of a Residence Inn, spacious, fridge, microwave. The cleaners did a pretty good job maintaining it on a daily basis, there's none of the corner cutting you'd find in other hotels on multi-day stays. Very grateful for that effort. This definitely works as a longer-stay property, just beware of regular soccer events in the city, the guest crowd shifts from business people to soccer fans (with no negative impact, I should add, everyone was at their best behaviours). I would return without hesitation.

Chose this place primarily for its Gym facilities, and it absolutely delivered on it. On top of that, the place also offered a cool student vibe blended with boutique chic decor and atmosphere. A great value for money at the heart of the old town, right in the middle of all the Christmas market and festivities. LOCATION: Excellent location in the heart of town and right next to the main cathedral and the buzzing pedestrian shopping street. DINE + DRINK: The BASEOLOGY rooftop bar is quite cool to get a pre-drink in the evening, especially around sunset. ROOM: We stayed in Room 570, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Nice lateral views of the main cathedral, and the the Ferris wheel set up for Christmas; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa quality toiletries. FACILITIES: Very decent Gym with a good range of weights and Cardio machines divided into two levels. SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment primarily in GERMAN and very few options in English (primarily News and music!

Due to the pleasant experience of an IntercityHotel, we have chosen the IntercityHotel Dortmund for our bike tours around Dortmund, especially since this was also a price-friendly framework. The location is of course unslaughterable - only about 200m from the main railway station and about 300m from the metro ”Campstraße” directly in the pedestrian zone of Dortmund. With the free ÖPNV ticket from the hotel you can unlimitedly use all the ÖPNV transportation free of charge use and your own car can stay comfortable on the hotel parking. Even bicycles can be stored on your own bicycle parking sites. Very pre-eminent and helpful hotel staff. A good meeting hotel with the various conference rooms. The room was bright and friendly and above all generous designed. Since our room went to the back of the hotel, no noise from outside was heard even in open windows. The breakfast was ok - there was nothing that was not. Toy, cooked egg, sauce, S*****en, marmelade, yoghurt, musli, etc. That was tasty, but we had it in other hotels that were cheaper, much better. The only thing to defect was that was a little deficient housekeeping (it was not done twice the room) and the modgful room air after the air conditioning operation - especially as the window was only opened a small column and only on kipp (We were in another hotel on weekend and had a room in the 10th floor and the windows were completely opened ...) Because the IntercityHotel Dortmund is still very new (it was called opening to East 2022) I will describe this as ”children's diseases” and trust the hotel management to get it in hand. We will not be the last time in DO as fans of the Black Yellows ;-)

Stayed here for three nights to visit Dortmund for the first time. Hotel has a great location in the middle of the city, close to the train station, and underground parking is a big plus. Had a nice street view from my room on the 5th floor. Rooms are nice and spacious. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great, but maybe a bit too expensive. Would definitely come back here on my next trip to Dortmund.

Also zurück zur Rezeption. (auch schon 30 Jahre her....) Selbst die Nähe zum Musicaltheater macht es nicht erträglicher. Das Musical selbst ist auch nach 30 Jahren immer noch eine Reise wert!
The Holiday Inn Express Bochum is located right in the buzzing city center of Bochum, North-Rhine Westphalia. Stepping out of the hotel, you will find yourself in the middle of the big shopping district. A subway station is located 350 meters from the hotel, it is only a 10-minute walk to Bochum central station and the freeway A40 which connects you to all major cities of the Metropolitan Region Ruhrgebiet is a 2,5 km drive away. With Dortmund (32km) and Düsseldorf International (42km) you’ll have easy access to two major airports. Once an industrial city Bochum has moved from coal mines and steel industry to the service sector. The Ruhr University Bochum is one of the largest universities in Germany, many science meetings and events take place at either Ruhrcongress or Jahrhunderthalle. You can still feel what it was like digging for coal by visiting the “Deutsches Bergbau-Museum” and descent down to the visitor coal mine. Don’t miss the next show of “Starlight Express” - the musical by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. And after an exciting day, turn into the “Bermuda3eck” - the famous Entertainment district where you can find anything from Street Food to Fine Dining, from Movie Theaters to art and Karaoke pubs. When it’s finally time to wind down, enjoy what the Holiday Inn Express Bochum has to offer - free Wi-Fi, air-conditioned rooms, our 24/7 Express Café & Bar and in the morning start your day right with our included Express Breakfast.

The hotel is in the centre of Bochum, exit the hotel and you are in the centre. Parking is underneath the hotel in a public garage for an acceptable daily rate. Beds great, but the bedlinnen for a double bed is so small that one person is left out in the cold. Hotel is brand new. Loved the hotel. Breakfast great except the juices. Friendly staff. What needs improvement: The mentioned bed linnen / covers. The hotel needs to do something about that. I do not know what kind of ”juice” comes out of the machine at breakfast, but you really cannot call this orange juice.

The b&b is a little outside the ”main mile” and is therefore quiet - very good. However, everything in the city center is very good to foot reach - for non-footmen*in there is a bus stop in front of the door. Everything appears quite new, it is also just being built. The rooms are very clean and for a hotel of this category generous and bright. There is a small lobby with jobs for PC and others. The staff is very friendly and helpful, However, the young man did not know anything at the reception with my registration form ;-) Some small disadvantages: Since I was there at the weekend and had enjoyed the night life in Bochum many evenings, it was very bald at breakfast time 9-10°°, there is no room for it in the small breakfast room, i.e. it was also in the lobby breakfast and the blows on the small but fine buffet were long, This may be different during the week ... In the hotel and in the rooms it was unfortunately quite cold, at an outdoor temperature of 18-20 C the air conditioning was very high or the heating was down and there were few corners in which it was not moved from the top, This is not necessary in spring and makes it uncomfortable.

Excellent
Let's start with the positive things: The breakfast, not exceptional but OK, deserves 3 to 4 points. And the night was quiet too, despite the room facing the main road. What didn't we like? A lot. The hotel's accessibility by phone varies from catastrophic to impossible. On the first day I gave up after about 30 minutes in frustration, on the second day I had an employee on the line after about 30 minutes who didn't understand German. Fortunately, he was able to get someone who seemed to understand my request. The staff is very nice, but completely incompetent, from the reception to the bartender, who mixed the worst Caipirinha of my life. The room is spartanly furnished, but OK, you can live with that. I don't like the carpet at all. What I really didn't like was the small bed. Based on my study of the website, I had already indicated beforehand and when checking in that we wanted a large bed or two single beds. We were always told that there was no problem after the request had been understood...or after we thought it had been understood. But it was not meant to be...My wife then stopped me from going to reception again, with the result that I slept terribly.
The hotel isn’t fancy but it is clean, modern and conveniently located adjacent to the highway making it perfect for a one night stop mid travel. Staff were friendly, the parking was free and the included breakfast was more than adequate. Would stay here again if we were passing through.
GGuest UserDear readers, as unsatisfactory guest, I would like to share my experience in this hotel. First of all, I must say that the central location of the hotel is positive. I also liked the impressive hall of red marble in the eastern style. My room on the 5th floor was pleasantly large and offered a good view of the city. Unfortunately, this is the hotel at the crossing of two main roads. This means that the traffic around the clock is very strong and especially at night when the Poser scene tries her PS-stark cars, I was always wake up at night. Also the equipment is simple and has come into the years. The garden fell to me immediately when hearing, because the holder was defect and it was no longer fitted. The very bright room was also a big problem because I could hear any noise from the neighbouring rooms. The breakfast was a great disappointment, as low-quality goods were used, the cheapest available on the market. All in all, this was the last time I stayed in this hotel. On the second day I went to a bakery in the morning. Unfortunately, I can't make a recommendation for this hotel and advise potential guests to look after a better option. With friendly greetings, A unsatisfactory guest
The hotel didn't get an excellent because we stayed in a room with twin beds and a huge pillar in it! Otherwise, the location is excellent for the downtown main square. The breakfast was adequate and, if you are a coffee drinker, you have lots of choices.
PPaoyinteHotel location is good, from Dortmund main train station to cross the road about 5 minutes walk, all the way to similar to a pedestrian street, more businesses and restaurants! Hotel health is relatively clean, but the room facilities are too few! Provides hand sanitizer and shampoo and bath products, the rest is basically nothing! The biggest problem is that the hotel has a problem. It basically doesn't work in the summer. Fortunately, the window can be opened. It is cooler. The bed at night is a bit too soft! European Cup 2000 ➕ one night, too expensive and too expensive!
GGuest UserHotel adres listed is different then the actual Hotel reception! The Hotel is situated in the very center, with plenty of parking options. They have 2 buildings, after i figured out where the reception was. I eas able to check in and get room #209 a spacious room, without AC. Two big windows towards a side street from the high street shopping area. The staff was friendly and after asking for AC they offered to put a fan in my room, which was necessary due to the very warm weather. I did enjoy the breakfast with savory and sweet option to choose from. I liked the stay very much that i booked for Hannover too in the weekend.
GGuest UserCan't complain. Friendly staff, central location and a clean and tidy room. As status members we also got our free welcome drink. The shower gel in our room was empty, but instantly replaced when we asked for it at the reception. As the price was cheap, the value was good.
It was very quiet and it's great for bvb games, it's close to the stadium and at the fair, walking 5 min, you can park and breakfast is abundant for the price of 12,90€ We had a good waking and like to come back. Love greetings from Nuremberg
OonmyoujiThe location is nice, walk 5min to the central train station. Convenient to anywhere. The receptionist let me do an early check in when the room is ready in the morning .
GGuest UserIf you think of the scenes in classic UK sitcoms: - Faulty Towers - the scene in inbetweeners where they pull up to the hotel - hotel Bella in the jolly boys outing in OFAH Take a pinch of each and you’ll probably start to picture this hotel. To be fair we booked the shared bathroom option and was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of it. I think the cleanliness is the best thing by a country mile here - a credit and shoutout to the cleaners. There’s more than 1 toilet (shower rooms separate) so don’t think ‘god what if I really need to go’ The hotel could do with a major face lift but It’s a really great place to get your head down with no thrills. Close to the central station and city centre with an underground running direct to the football stadium.
