Very small room for what it was worth, but decent stay otherwise with great communication from hotel staff prior to stay. Arriving in Melbourne on a red-eyed flight meant that we needed a room to rest prior to standard check-in times. Both email and phone communication with staff prior to my stay was fantastic, and very accommodating. The room itself could've been better with more space to move around. I also wasn't too big of a fan of the small bathroom sink and half-glass shower (which made water escape really easily onto the bathmat and tiles). I would've liked the city view room lookout, but construction next to the hotel and an earlier check-in time meant this request couldn't be accommodated, which was fine by all means. I was just thankful the hotel could give me a quiet room on the third floor, and away from the noise of the construction. Otherwise, a decent stay and very centrally located to Melbourne Central and eateries.

We booked a quick trip to Melbourne for the footy. Because it was only 1 night we booked only a basic king room, and I also wanted to avoid a noisy 09 room. Arrived at reception to be informed they had upgraded us to an 09 room. I told the check in agent I did not want that room, despite it being an upgrade, and would be quite happy with the original room booked. She insisted on contacting the manager and they eventually moved us to an executive suite. This was a large and comfortable room, excellent bathroom and shower and comfortable bed. We did not notice any loud noise from Swanston Street from this suite. Quick trip up to the club lounge for a few drinks and nibbles before footy. Drink selection improved since our last visit and now a selection of spirits is available. Club lounge has nice staff. Breakfast there in the morning was also good. The club lounge has very nice decor. Will be back for 3 nights in August so hopefully will be as enjoyable.

I stay in hotels A LOT! But except for one other occasion, I've never bothered to leave reviews. But this place is one of the more questionable hotels I've stayed at for several reasons. The hotel: - they charged my credit card the full fee a day BEFORE I checked in. They have a 24 hr cancellation period with minimal one night charge yet they still took it upon themselves to charge me before I actually checked in - very unethical - they want a photo of government issued ID. Weird, with all the crazy data breaches occurring, it's recommended private entities DO NOT store this unnecessary data, yet they still expected a copy. I didn't provide it, just let them sight it upon check in - the pics used to promote the apartments are stretched out and misleading. The actual apartment is small, very small if you consider the costs incurred - photos online make it look like there is a bathtub, (and when I called the hotel to check, the person I spoke to told me there was a bathtub) but there actually isn't any which is VERY inconvenient when travelling with a companion who can only use a tub (for accessibility reasons) - they don't do housekeeping every day. You can ask for fresh towels but goodluck getting a vacuum or dirty bin emptied. The actual apartment - there is no ducted air conditioning. On a hot day (was 35° when I checked in) I needed to blast the AC at 18° (we froze in the living area) just so cool air can seep into the bedroom and cool it down so we can sleep - the actual apartment was very dirty. Tiles had previous occupants hair on the floor, carpet is stained in multiple locations, glass doors and outside balcony railing dirty with hand prints and smudges - minimal crockery and cutlery provided. Only one drinking glass provided - no tea towel provided - phone in room not set up. Had to call reception from my mobile to report issues - oddly there are very few electrical ports in the living area. Difficult to charge devices - there is no shelving in the wardrobe, and it's difficult to tidy anything up or pack things away. Only one storage shelf and you need a ladder to access it - the railing for the wardrobe is so high, one needs to be over 7 foot to use it - to access the bathroom, one needs to go through the bedroom so it's really hard to have one person stay up while another sleeps - the bathroom doesn't have a drain so any access water needs to be mopped with the towels to avoid a slip hazard (problematic as they only give you 2 towels and don't do daily room service) - there are NO clothes hooks in the bathroom The positives: Overall the staff were pleasant and friendly. Every staff member I spoke to in person was hospitable, helpful and very kind. The blockout blinds were good and the sound proofing was great. They also accommodated late check out. I felt very disappointed as I travel to Melbourne monthly and was very disappointed to pay premium costs for accommodation but get what I consider inadequate facilities. I'd only recommend s

This apartment was ideal - it had all you would need for a week long stay - washer, dryer, dishwasher. It was larger than my sons apartment in Canada Water in London. I could stream my own things on the TV - separate bedroom and lounge area. Safe in room. Plus a super unexpected bonus the room had a balcony. I would certainly recommend this to any traveller for short or longer stays. Plus there a lovely little friendly bar just a few minutes walk and Flinders station 10 min walk. If i come back to Melbourne i would stay here for sure.

I’d like to share our Villa experience at Crown Towers Melbourne room 3138 from 29th to 31st May 2023. To start, our greeting from Anthony and Sarah was simply delightful with champagne and the ultimate introduction of the room. We couldn’t have asked for anything more on arrival. The housekeeping attention to detail was excellent, though a mop was left in the second lavatory on the 2nd day. Not a big deal for us, however it’s those small touches that could impact other guests impressions. The bed was WOW - the linens, wow wow wow, like a cloud. The Koko Black chocolates were beautiful though the fruit bowl was nothing to be desired, a fruit platter would have made a nicer touch. The ceramics and art work in the Villa were spectacular though please inspect and dust the two ceramic cranes in the bedroom, the dust on them was so thick, I don’t think it had been done for a couple of months. The power plug at the bedroom window was slightly off the wall requiring maintenance and scuff marks on the walls. There was some feedback that we would like to give that would’ve made our stay absolutely incredible and memorable and what we thought would have been included as a ‘butler touch’ but failed to deliver. (Noting that we have stayed at numerous other properties globally that do this) For example, Knowing that it was our anniversary, a romantic bath or rose petals on the bed after we returned from the club room, would’ve been a nice touch Knowing that we were going to stay in, enjoy the room and watch movies, a small gesture of popcorn or movie snacks would’ve been a nice touch. I would have loved if it was offered to have our luggage unpacked. The in-room tablet is a big thing for us. It’s something that influences us to stay at Crown! Knowing that we can order room service at any time from the tablet. This never worked and was never able to be fixed for the duration of stay. This was a big letdown. On our second night the turndown service came approximately 1600. It was the two Butler team, plus two Housekeeper‘s, it would’ve been better if they had of waited until we went to the club room at 1730, so we were not disturbed. Overall, I don’t think you can offer the butler service as a selling point because we were not offered anything different than when we have stayed in the Premier Club suite. If the Butlers are meant to offer you services, then this feedback should definitely be delivered because we were not offered anything above and beyond what we would get in a standard Crown Suite. Though worthy to note that any time we interacted with any of the Butler team, the communication was professional and delightful. I do expect absolute perfection in hotels (and I’m happy to pay the price) but there were just a few imperfections that need attention. I have booked again for my 40th birthday because the room was so beautiful but I will come prepared with a list of requests for the butler team since its more ‘ask and you’ll receive’ rather than ‘we will

Arriving Melbourne late at night and have a morning flight the next day. Chose Parkroyal given its price and super convenient location: just walk pass the footbridge at 2/F of the terminals and take the hotel lift at the carpark to reach the reception floor.
Room is big and clean, water is hot enoguh and with a bath tub, sadly it was too late I haven’t used it.
The service was good too that they have totally no problem at all for me to store the big luggage for 5 days as I will be flying to Tasmania for few days trip with a small luggage.
Just don’t like about the pillow which are too soft. But the rest, perfect!!

JJacklin213Front entrance welcomes you with a small Zen feel. The lobby is connected with the restaurant in an open floor space. Stayed in Standard King Room, was very spacious with small arm chair, desk, TV. The bathrooms are very modern with touch enabled mirrors.
Absolutely enjoyed our stay there. Would definitely book again
GGuest UserClean and spacious serviced apartment, with clean kitchen and utensils, indoor washing machine and dryer, comfortable beds. Great block out blinds. Helpful and nice team on hand. Parking available on site (extra fee), convenient location to the free city tram. Shirt walk yo theatre district and Melbourne gaol. Would definitely stay again.
GGuest UserThe staff were not following COVID protocols. None wore masks. Day manager actually spoke to us with mask on chin and AROUND the safety barrier. One pen used for everything by everyone. Night manager & staff as well as other guests were all maskless. We were not asked to show proof of our vaccination status. Inspired ZERO confidence that they were actually sanitising anything. My partner also felt unsafe as there were a lot of people loitering around the building. The room was clean and tidy. Located excellently for the event we were attending. Hot water worked, loved the choice of flooring. That was all. The room offered only one single bar of soap. No shower gel, shampoo or any extra toiletries as is expected from even the most basic accomodation you can stay in anywhere else. I have stayed in youth hostels in the outback and even they offered more than a tiny bar of soap. There was no indications of any extra services offered or being available. There were no extra pillows or blankets available in the room. One very flat pillow per person and a thin doona only. The pillows were so low that I could not sleep on it and when I asked for another pillow from the night manager I was met with rudeness. He finally gave me an old, dirty pillow with no pillow case (see photos). When I asked for a pillow case he acted like I was being ridiculous. We slept badly as the bed was very hard. Actually went home and slept as we were so tired from the uncomfortable bed. Upon checkout we got stuck in the lift as the door to the G floor would not open. We finally called for help using the phone but even though the front desk manager answered and said he would be with us immediately he was not. We finally left by going back to our floor and using the fire escape to exit via the basement parking. He then told us he couldn’t hear what we were saying on the phone so basically ignored us, and then gave some rubbish excuse about the one elevator being an old one that was not for guests. Basically if we had not exited the way we did we would have been stuck in the elevator for hours being ignored. There was no signage indicating anywhere that one of the two lifts was not for guests, and if the lift was not for guests you would think it would be clearly marked so.
Lygon Lodge has always been my go to stay when in Melbourne. It has recently been sold and this was first stay since the sale. The new consortium have continued with the same warm welcome. Lovely reception staff. Improvements were noticeable. I like to stay in a particular room, and once again it felt familiar and comfortable. I have to commend the wonderful cleaning staff, each day they left my room spotlessly clean. Lygon Lodge is in a fabulous location. Close to everything the area has to offer, such as restaurants, cafes & bars, a fabulous arthouse theatre, and wonderful bookshop, amongst other fantastic shops. Public transport nearby. Lygon Lodge ticks all the boxes.
张张The room is large, the bed is not small, no problem for two adults and one child. The hotel is a bit away from the city center, but for those of us who like to measure the city with footsteps, we not only walked to Chinatown, but also to the Wei Ma market (a taxi cost about 10 Australian dollars, called Didi 8 Australian dollars). The reason for the flight to the hotel is very early, and it is not possible to check in early. This is not as flexible as domestic hotels, which is very common in Australia.
HHUANGThe room facilities are very complete and very convenient. The location of the hotel is clean and there are many restaurants nearby. There are various choices. If you want to cook yourself, you can also shop nearby. The service staff is kind and courteous.
GGuest UserNice location. Easy access to any attractions in town. All within walking distance.
Friendly staffs and good environment.
Second time staying here after 2019. Still as good as before. Recommended if your are on a budget trip. Worth the price.
瑛瑛瑛莫It is equipped with a stove, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a bowl and a pot. It is very convenient. I bought six boxes of eggs in a small supermarket and burned them myself. The hotel has no breakfast to eat on the street, in the supermarket.
