Hotels near Kukusan Island, Labuan Bajo

We booked two nights and stayed 6 nights. Contrary to most hotels, Sylvia hotel is situated at a nice stretch of beach. Around high tide there is excellent snorkelling right from the beach. The rooms and beds are comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is quiet and most room have a terrace with sea view. The price quality is excellent. The only negative site is that it is 5 km from Labuan Bayo centre and the only transport is a taxi or the irregular hotel shuttle bus at taxi price. There only a few Indonesian and Italian dishes on the menu. The service at the restaurant is slow. There are no other restaurant at walking distance.

Really really love my experience here!! I knew Ayana was good and I even saw some videos online yett I was still sooooo impressed when I arrived there. We did some water activity which were really fun. The service was good and this has become a special place for us! If there is one thing that can be improved is the breakfast, we felt like it was just so so in comparison to all the other things that we experienced there. Thanks Ayana!!

The most satisfying hotel in the 10-day Bali trip, absolutely worth the money! I really like the concept of the hotel's original ecology and traditional cultural protection. The entire hotel consists of only 20 independent small villas, and the number of hotel staff is twice that of guests. We think that compared with other luxury hotels, several points are very good: 1. Full butler service, our butler Diaz is very good, helping us to order four breakfast boxes for the next day's early trip, fruit yogurt Benedict eggs are available, and towels are prepared to send us to the lobby early in the morning; and all emergency services are very good accordingly. After staying, I found that I didn’t have enough cash for the next day, so I asked the guy if he could help find a car. He not only arranged the hotel’s shuttle bus to take us to town, but also accompanied us with the driver to withdraw money and buy sunscreen and bring us back. The three girls traveling alone really felt at ease. Finally, before leaving, the guy sorted out the things left in the room and took pictures for me. After knowing that there was a charging cable in it that was useful, he rode a motorcycle to send it to me at the airport. 2. The scenery of the hotel is very beautiful. I saw the most beautiful sunset in my trip to Indonesia. The beach is within walking distance and the hotel arranges afternoon tea in different places every day. On the first day, it was next to the pier and on the second day, it was on a private beach. The hotel sent us there by boat. Five staff members accompanied the three of us to drink tea and watch the sunset. They also took great photos and then drove us back. 3. There is no need to worry about having nothing to do in the hotel. Paddle boards, transparent bottom canoes, snorkeling, transparent gym facing the sea, bicycles are all free, there are morning yoga classes, and the hotel's snorkeling spot is above a huge coral garden. You can also feed small fish. When we were snorkeling, there was a butler watching on the shore. There were no waves and it was very safe. There is no disadvantage except that it is expensive. I will come again~

Hendrik, our butler, provided exceptional service and he is the angel of our whole Labuan Bajo journey. He was waiting for us at the lobby when we arrived. He constantly checked on us to ensure we were okay. He helped with all our restaurant bookings and, even though we couldn't book the island hopping from the hotel, he found availability from the market so we could visit the Komodo Islands. Hendrik also went out of his way to get Antimo from the local chemist for us and sent aloe after noticing we got sunburnt after a day trip. Even on his day off, he found that the departure pickup was late and he arranged urgent follow-up from the team. I think we could not live without him in Labuan Bajo. Our one-bedroom sea villa was amazing, complete with a private pool. Every component of the room was well designed and thoughtfully built. The housekeeping team was spotless, with letters written to us every day. Special thanks to Eluis, Hofiz, Tona, Chandra. We enjoyed delightful and attentive service from the whole Maiga Bar team every sunset, making each evening a delight and a must-visit. They knew we had a bad experience on the pick-up the second team up, so the lovely team waiting for us and stood by every time to send us everywhere. We had a good time at the Taba for the first night. Jaka and Hendrik prepared a surprise birthday celebration moment for us. The sashimi and rainbow roll were remarkable, as well as the environment. Jaka also elevated our experience throughout the stay by sometimes driving us back to the villa and helping with the breakfast. Umasa had the best satay dishes we had in Indonesia so far. The breakfast at the Leros was outstanding, with the team regularly checking on us and offering daily special dishes. The highlight was the chef keeping chatting with us and offering amazing customized food every morning. The à la carte nasi goreng from Leros is the best we found in Indonesia yet, beating a lot of good restaurants in Bali! Ta’aktana beats my expectations as a new opening property. Although there are some shortcomings, Hendrik is always there to assist us for the whole stay. Not to mention the Maiga and breakfast crew. Ta’aktana organized Christmas Eve activities with Christmas Lights Celemory and Christmas corals and a marshmallow bonfire , which was a highlight of the trip. The destination activities, including the Caci performance, were very informative and delightful.

Room was very smal and smelled.. We even had a problem with hot water which forced us to change room after the room was being prepared for 3 hours. Breakfast was very ordinary.

I had a pleasant stay in meuorah, the staffs were friendly especially mbak novi whom help us through our check in even showing us our room, we went for our honeymoon and the room was decorated very nicely, we got a welcome cake and it was delicious, the scenery in the lobby, the pool, the room and restaurant were phenomenal, it is an open space with direct view to the ocean with a lot of boats parking around. Overall an easy 10/10, will come back again if I visit bajo in the future

1. Nice hotel. Like new. Approximately been built within 5 years back. 2. Got android TV but not connected to local or subscribed channel. Need to have your own Netflix account. Frustrated. I give 3/5 2.Location is very subjective. Not in walking travel distance to marina area (food area & sea view) & a bit hilly. Only forest & village view. But distance to the airport is convenient. Only less than 500m to the airport with proper walkway.

Room: Not big, a little crowded after adding a bed, but enough, after all, most of the time is spent on the beach, restaurant and sea. The decoration is primitive, not as luxurious as Maldives Food: It is strongly recommended to choose breakfast included. The breakfast set is very rich and you have to lean on the wall to eat. Lunch and dinner need to be ordered separately. The price is a little expensive (100+rmb per person), which is still cheaper than Maldives. The taste is not bad, but there are fewer choices Environment: More than 80% of the islands are Europeans and Americans. Except for meal time, there are basically few people. The color level of the glass sea is not bad, but it is slightly worse than Semporna (Mataking), and the beach is average. The signal is really bad. Underwater: Absolutely~ How many islands can you see Jack Storm by snorkeling? There are all kinds of other fish schools, lionfish, clownfish, turtles, small sharks, and silly Titan triggers. Snorkeling enthusiasts should not miss it! At 11 o'clock every day when the tide is low, you can see the sea directly at the pier. Giant clams, sea urchins, and corals are all in sight without getting into the water

Once in a while, we need to getaway from hustle and bustle of the capital city. we always looking for tranquility and convenience. This resort offer both in manners that we have not experience anywhere else. First of all the location. it's not too close to the city center but not too far as well. still walkable but we find that having a motorcycle or car is a convenience. We can enjoy the unobstructed amazing sunset view from the poolside bar. The spectrum of menu from both the food and the beverages are amazing. I recommend the Sudamala Breeze and Ikan Bakar Sudamala (the sambal/spicy paste can be too hot for some) that for me they are the perfect pairing. My wife and my son loves the spa. they offer traditional massage oils. One thing that I love about the place is that it's located right in front of the nicely paved pedestrian path to the city (the stretch of the main road is around 5km and therefore 10km a loop) . I recommend to bring a pair of road trainer and enjoy the early morning jog!
