The hotel’s decor gave me quirky, artsy vibes the moment I walked in. Artwork. Plants. Little knickknacks. Even a fish tank. Our room had a small desk and clothes rack. And a refrigerator over the desk that took me a while to realize it was a refrigerator. Another chair would’ve also been nice, since sitting options were limited to one desk chair or bed. Ac was off and it was unfortunate since it was cloudy and humid the entire time we were there. Also, no window screens, which seems to be the norm in Italy. The hotel only serves breakfast, and they do it so well. Excellent selection of pastries, cold meats and cheeses, yogurt, even fresh baked bread. Its close proximity to the city center is a plus, as well as the fact that the first village in Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore) is only 7 minutes away by train.

I loved this stay a lot more then some of the hotels in my trip, felt nice having your own key to a building. The room really surprised me, it was really nice and also in such a good spot of la spezia. La spezia surprised me, I was nervous as it seemed a bit rough around the edges but honestly such a lovely stay with trendy bars in every alleyway, just got to explore the streets. 10 min walk to the station which is right on the main Cinque Terre line going to the towns, I was a pro by the end of my stay. I felt like this was the place I actually met other Italians as the cinque Terre can be super congested with tourists so I really recommend staying here instead of one of the 5 towns and making base doing day trips to the villages. The reception were really lovely and helped you try and understand the area before letting you go off to your apartment room. I didn't spend much time in the room but I slept really well and all the facilities worked and there was information in the hallway if needed about ferry times and spots to go to. La Spezia was also one of the more affordable parts of Italy I went to with some really good food and drinks.

From La Spezia Train Station, walk three or four minutes to the left. The exterior of the hotel is very old, and the elevator is of the old style. It can only accommodate two people and luggage. But the room is quite spacious, there are slippers, the minibar is too rich, although we did not enjoy it. There is a coffee machine in the common area of the corridor and small snacks are provided. Lemons are abundant here, so there is also a supply of fresh lemons.
Due to limited space, breakfast is not served at the hotel, but at a restaurant at 11 o'clock on the left of the gate. You can get a croissant, juice and a hot drink with the hotel’s breakfast card.
The city tax was first charged when staying in the hotel. It may be due to limited staff. We did not find the service staff at 8 am on the day of check-out. We put the key in the room and left directly.
The overall feeling of the hotel is pretty good, you can recommend it!

We had no problems at this hotel. The location was a stone throw from the train station which was very convenient since we traveled by train. We also used the train to visit Cinque Terre. Since Cinque Terre exploration envolved a lot of walking and we got back late, having the hotel close to the station was great. The breakfast here was great as well. I liked that you pay one price for an old room and a different price for a renovated room. This way you know you will get a renovated room when you pay for it. At many hotels, it's the luck of the draw. That being said, it did seem that all of La Spezia hotels seemed overpriced. What we paid for our nice, but tiny room felt very expensive relative to the pricing I have become used to in Italy. I'm from New York City where things are pretty expensive relative to Italy. This hotel was an outlier by seeming expensive.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was available until 8PM. They had a great location right next to the train and within walking distance of a great nightlife and restaurants. La Spezia is a cute city. It's only a 7 minute train ride to Cinque Terra villages. The shower needs a door, but was spacious and had warm water. I did experience some problems with vaping/ electronic cigarette smoking on site. Unfortunately, some of it seemed to be coming from the cleaning crew. Hotels really need to understand how bad this problem is and how negatively it affects guests, especially people with asthma.

We got to the hotel early due to the train schedule. Our room wasn’t ready, but the staff held our bags and gave us recommendations for exploring nearby. When we came back, they had given us a free upgrade to a larger room. The room was comfortable and clean with several added extras that made us feel special. The breakfast spread was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back!

We were 3 adults and there are plenty of rooms to accommodate families and a small group of friends. Please note that there is city tax to be paid on site. Also just wanted to say a huge huge thank you to the staff. Amazingly helpful. Helped us to check in after hours and then when staying again, helped to order pizza 😊. And you can store your luggage. Breakfast is included. You will get a voucher which can be redeemed in 2 places. It's for a cup of coffee and a fresh pastry. Typical light Italian breakfast. Delicious. Just a note, to make sure you go to the correct one, ask before. As there are 2. One has RED flower pots in front and the other has WHITE. The staff is very helpful, and can chat to via WhatsApp. Thanks again!!!

We loved the look and feel of our room with exposed brick, but modern furnishings. The room wasn't huge, but wasn't small. The bed was comfortable. There were enough plugs to charge all the things. There's a small area to hang clothing. The bathroom was nice and modern with a good sized shower. Everything was very clean. The woman who checked us in was very kind and helpful. Just note that this is in an older building so the elevator is tiny, but it worked! The location walking distance to the train station is perfect, as we were there to visit Cinque Terre. Certainly a good place to stay for that. The only slight downside was that we drove and parking was a little complicated. Particularly as there is nowhere to unload your luggage unless you just get very lucky with finding a space nearby. Otherwise you may have a pretty long walk with your bags after you find parking. Not a huge deal, just something to note.

GGuest UserWe have returned this week from a great 6 night stay at the NH Hotel La Spezia in Liguria Italy. Our room was a recently renovated Junior Suite on the 8th floor at the front of the Hotel, which gave us a great panoramic view of the whole of the Bay of La Spezia. The suite consisted of a large bedroom with an electronic safe situated in the built in wardrobe, a separate lounge with tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge. Wifi was available throughout the Hotel. The bathroom was modern and clean with a large walk-in shower cubicle. There were wall mounted televisions in both the lounge and the bedroom. We had breakfast in the dining room on the ground floor during our stay which included a great choice of hot and cold food and drinks. There is also a small bar on the ground floor and food is also available from the restaurant. The location of the Hotel is very good overlooking public gardens, the sea promenade, Cruise Terminal and Ferries to the nearby islands and the villages of the Cinque Terre National Park. It is a thirty minute walk from Spezia Centrale Station to the Hotel. There is a large choice of bars and restaurants available within a few minutes walk from the Hotel. The Hotel staff throughout our stay were all very pleasant and helpful and the bedroom suite and public areas were all well maintained. We found that the City of La Spezia had a good range of attractions to visit including the Castello San Giorgi and the Naval Technical Museum which we visited. Our main reason for visiting the area was to explore the 5 villages of the Cinque Terre; Monterosso Al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, which we managed to do by means of the excellent train service. Cinque Terre Cards available from the train station cost 18.20 euros for one day unlimited travel between La Spezia and the villages and these also allow access to the footpath network between the villages. During our stay we also visited the beautiful resort of Portovenere by ferry, which is also served by buses from La Spezia. We took the opportunity to visit the picturesque village of Santa Margherita Ligure from where we took a ferry to nearby Porto Fino. Buses also run between Santa Margherita and Porto Fino. We found the NH Hotel an ideal location to stay and from which to explore the area and would stay at the hotel again should we return to La Spezia.

GGuest UserGreat Airbnb so convenient to everything. We stayed in room 5. The room was clean, spacious, the bed was a king very comfortable. There was additional pillows for us to choose from. The air-conditioning work great, even though you were in the heart of downtown it was super quiet. The Bathroom was large and the shower has great water pressure. Elisa, was very helpful in recommending places to eat at. Super nice gave us directions. There is a laundromat across the circle from here. Would highly recommend this Airbnb in the future. If you are going to do Cinco Terre, this is the place to stay. You are literally a block and a half from the train station.

AAlfYYI LOVE this place! It's right up the town of La Spezia. Excellent ”hide-away”, though it's a bit of a challenge to get there. Up the narrow winding road that leads up to this hidden gem of a location. Beautiful & fresh mountain views and excellent fresh mountain air!
The beds were comfortable - firm which is to my liking & toilet was a decent size.
Breakfast was surprisingly decently spread despite only 2 families being there (including myself) from 0800-1000.
We were given the GND Floor room, which is superb because it opens up to the outdoor lounge are which overlooks the beautiful harbour of La Spezia.
Don't expect much as there are no facilities - this is a 2 star hotel/accommodation.

la posizione è sicuramente comodissima, vicino al centro e vicino alla stazione dei treni (perfetto per girare le 5terre). Anche la camera devo dire ottima con tutto il necessario, l’unica cosa che mi sento di criticare è la pulizia, io e il mio fidanzato siamo entrati in camera trovando tantissimi capelli in terra sia nella camera che nel bagno.. e anche nel corridoio devo dire che la situazione non era diversa purtroppo. Per il resto ci siamo trovati molto bene

GGuest UserWe stayed a night...small but very comfortable,clean and absolutely quiet room...then Mrs. Johanna the owner absolutely very kind and friendly , gave us advice on what to visit in the short time we had...then Very strategic location ...to reach the 5 lands, just a few minutes walk from the railway station, just as close to the center... I recommend booking the car park... which is just in front of the stable...so I have nothing to do compliments and thanks for welcomed us in this short stay....we will surely return to you.. THE COUNCIL VIVously!!!
