The location was very good. It was easy to walk to Kiyomizu-dera Street, and it was also close to Gion Street. It was convenient as there were many restaurants nearby, convenience stores, and supermarkets nearby. There was no elevator, but they helped us carry our luggage and it was not inconvenient. I chose it because I wanted to stay in a Japanese-style tatami room, but it was a 2-room room with a kitchen and living room. It was comfortable.

The room was very small. The tatami room smelled like feet when we first entered it. The bathroom was extremely small, but there was no hot water in the morning and evening! Great location for visiting Kyomizu and Gion areas. Spacious apartment with a mixture of traditional and modern Japanese interior. Friendly owner but a bit difficult to communicate with he in English. The check-in and check-out procedures are done online at the front desk and seem unnecessary. The check-in time is too late at 16:00. It should start at 14:00.

The front desk staff and the owner were very helpful, and the rooftop dog run was great for those with dogs. The only thing that bothered me was the weak water pressure and the hot water never getting hot...the temperature control was poor. If the bathroom environment could be improved, I think it would be great for those with dogs.

It was very clean and the location was great! I would like to use it again.
